He couldn’t sit still in the hospital ward after Isabella walked past him.
This may be for the best. It would have been better if Isabella had kept her distance from him.
Grayson’s heart ached–it felt like it was shattering into countless fragile pieces. His restless mind offered no peace.
It was too late when he learned the truth: Isabella was the woman Landon once loved. He had already married her by the time he spoke with Tina and discovered that the woman wearing the necklace all those years ago was Isabella

The weight of that guilt pressed heavily on Grayson’s heart. It gnawed at him, feeding his conscience with doubt and regret. He couldn’t bear the thought of Isabella getting hurt by the shadows of their past and the deep–seated rift between their families, which was why he had chosen to ask for a separation.
“Grayson, did you fight with Isabella?” Grandma Blake’s gentle voice cut through his torment.
He lifted his head, realizing he’d been staring blankly at the hospital floor, searching for answers that weren’t there.
“No, Grandma,” he replied quickly, forcing a reassuring tone. The last thing he wanted was to add to her worries and burden her already fragile health with his personal struggles.
“You can’t fool me..” Her voice was soft but knowing. “Even though I’m here in this hospital. I’m not blind to what’s happening. Martha told me Isabella hadn’t returned to the villa in two days. Your people can talk…”
A frown creased his forehead. The thought of servants gossiping about his private life made his jaw clench
“Don’t let the past weigh you down so much that you end up hurting the person who matters most to you,” Grandma Blake said gently. Her weary smile carried wisdom earned through years of life’s challenges. “I was so happy when you married! Isabella. I remember how fondly you used to talk about her when you were younger.”
Grayson reached out, taking his grandmother’s hand in his. “I’m scared, Grandina,” he confessed, his voice low and trembling. “I want the next time Isabella and I are together to be different–with a clear conscience. I wanted to love her, to dream with her.. but then Landon appears in my dreams, accusing me, and I—” He’s unable to continue
Grandma Blake’s faint smile lingered as her eyes closed, too weary to say another word. Her breaths became soft and shallow, each one lighter than the last.
A week later, Grandma Blake passed away.
The loss left a deep void in Grayson’s heart, one he refused to face. Instead of mourning, he channeled his grief into relentless work, pushing himself and his employees to their breaking point.
The pain had to go somewhere, and fury was easier to bear than sorrow.
“Boss, there’s an update on the Charlotte Prescott investigation,” Eliot reported cautiously, breaking through the tension in the office.
“The police recovered a woman’s body,” Eliot continued. “It was barely identifiable in the water for days, but DNA analysis confirmed it’s Charlotte Prescut”
Grayson acknowledged the news with a slight nod, his expression carves from stone

The assistant fell silent, clearly taken aback by Grayson’s sharp reprimand, especially considering their relationship
“Lock down everything!” Grayson commanded “Isabella is to be denied access to the villa, this office building, especially the SummitGlow Talent. Issue a memo to the agency–Valeria Moroz will be the new head chief, effective immediately” won’t see a single cent from what I’ve built. Not one dollar!”
Grayson’s voice was cold and final as he gave the orders, completely severing ties with Isabella.
Meanwhile, Isabella remained unaware that he was utterly cutting her out.
