My parents and our guests had just left when Vivian grabbed my mom and said, “Serena, what are you doing? Today is a joyous day for the two children, you can’t let outsiders laugh at us.” 

Sean also said to my dad, “Yeah, Thomas did something wrong, you should scold him, give him a 

beating, and let the young people handle their own affairs. We, the older generation, can just 

watch.” 

Serena sneered, “What are you still looking at? Are we going to continue being a laughingstock? 

Today, our whole family has been humiliated.” 

Lucas didn’t speak, he just looked at me, leaving the decision up to me! 

Thomas supported Emma and walked up to me, his cold gaze fixed on me. “Have you had enough fun? Do my parents and your parents have to lose face completely for you to feel satisfied?” 

Upon hearing his words, I gave a bitter smile. 

Who exactly made both sets of parents lose face, was it me? 

Emma looked at me with a grievance and said, “Laura, it was my fault. I was supposed to come and 

congratulate you and Thomas on your marriage, but…” 

She touched her belly and said, “But I didn’t expect to get pregnant. I made a mistake, and I don’t mind any punishment, but the child is innocent. I can’t let the child be born without a father.” 

“Laura, you were so kind–hearted, I’m sure you wouldn’t want to see that, right?” 

I hadn’t even spoken yet, and Serena was already pointing at Emma and cursing at her! 

“What a smooth–talking mistress! You were secretly involved with Thomas behind my daughter’s 

back, and even had a child together. Yet, you had the audacity to show up at my daughter’s wedding 

and play the victim. I have never seen such a shameless woman like you.‘ 

Vivian hurriedly grabbed Serena and said, “Serena, calm down. Actually, what she said makes 

sense. After all, the child is innocent.” 

After saying that, he looked at me and said, “Laura, don’t you think so?” 

“Stop it, my daughter had no relationship with your son.” 

“Laura, let’s go. We are not getting married anymore. Let them reunite as a family of three.” 

Serena shook off Vivian’s hand. 

Vivian’s face didn’t look good, “Serena, what are you talking about? Our relatives and friends are all watching. We can’t just act on impulse like young people.”

Thomas said coldly, “Laura, since you loved me, you should have accepted everything about me. Emma is carrying my child in her belly, and you should love him just like you love me.” 

His tone was so natural, as if it was an unforgivable act that I didn’t love the child in Emma’s belly, 

Sean looked at Emma, then looked at me. “Laura, both Thomas’s mother and I have watched you grow up since we were young. We know very well how you are as a person. The incident has already happened, and it is pointless to continue making a fuss. What we need to do now is to remedy the situation as soon as possible.” 

I calmly asked, “How can we remedy the situation?” 

Sean didn’t hesitate at all, “Finish the wedding first, establish your status, and Emma’s child in her belly is ultimately Thomas’s, so it has to be born.” 

“But don’t worry, once the child is born, you will raise him. You are the child’s biological mother. As for Emma, give her some money and let her disappear.”
