Sara raised her head to look at his face, and started to turn around. Maybe she sensed my presence, I would never know. She seemed nonplussed as our eyes locked.
“Nick!”
“I wanted to talk to you,” I said. “Let me take you home. It’s late.”
She looked at Sergeant Brave with a frown as he started to speak.
“She’s not ready to leave yet.” He ran his hand on her bare arm.
“You’re not ready to leave yet, Sara. Tell him. I’ll take you home when you are.”
All thoughts left me. My hands acted on their own. Before I knew it, the sergeant lay with his face pinned on top of a table nearby. He struggled to get free from my grip as gasps and whispers erupted all around.
Sara’s gasp was the loudest. She had one hand covering her mouth in shock when I turned to look at her. I released the half–blood abruptly.
“Sara-”
But I stopped speaking when I felt his fist flying towards my face. Blocking it, I caught the errant hand and squeezed till he gave an embarrassing shriek.
I didn’t let go. Not even when his knees buckled from pain. His wolf’s eyes shone with hatred as he glared up at me.
The feeling of so many hands trying to get me off him made me recall where I was. I started to loosen my grip.
“Nick,” that was Jake’s urgent voice.
The fucking stalker! Shouldn’t he be at the resort?
“Let him go,” he pleaded.
“Nick, let him go this instant,” Sara shaky voice rang
in
my
head.
I released her sergeant. Jake and two other guards started to pull me away.
“Sara! I need to take her home,” I groaned.
“Lorenzo is bringing her. C’mon!” Jake snapped.

Chapter 0105
The guard did waited beside her as she leaned towards the sergeant, whispering,
“I’m so sorry,” over and over.
When she tried to help him up, he flinched. I wanted to get back in there and continue what we started.
I wanted to break all of his bones, so that he could never touch her again. Jake stood in the way, forcing me out with all his might.
The bar had gotten very noisy. I felt familiar eyes watching me silently. It was Megan. Was she here to relax or spy on Sara? I made a mental note to find out later.
“I can’t take this. I need her!”
I didn’t realize I’d spoken out loud till Jake replied,
“She’s coming! Lorenzo is taking her home!”
Soon, the guard emerged, leading Sara to his car. The sergeant remained inside the bar.
“See? Lorenzo’s taking her home.” My beta repeated.
I was determined to follow her wherever she went tonight. Thankfully, Jake had to stay back to take care of things. The mess I made, no doubt.
I was out of my mind. I knew this, yet I couldn’t gain control. How could I have attacked that man in public like that? The bar was scanty as it was Tuesday, but still.
Oh, but the sight of those two. His face on her neck. His hand on her bare flesh.
His face on her neck… Should be MY face.
“Faster, Denzel! Step on it!” I snapped.
Make her ours again, my wolf raged inside me.
The words filled me with an urgency that made me want to burst out of the moving car.
It was a good thing Lorenzo pulled over at her curb soon enough.
Have to make her mine again.
“Sara!” I called out, rushing out of the car to catch up with her.
At the sound of my voice, she increased her strides, almost running. Trying to get away from
- me.

“Sara!”
“You stay away from me!” Came the harsh reply.
“Not a chance. You know that!”
“I’m warning you, stay the hell away from me!”
“That’s not possible. You belong to me. You belong WITH me!”
She halted, gasping,
“You’re crazy! I’m going to pretend I didn’t hear that.”
As she raced up her porch, I went after her, pinning her to the open door and claiming her lips.
I let the need to replace that half–blood’s scent take over me.
The first few seconds were a struggle. She fought to break free from my hold.
But soon, gradually, her resolve began to slip. She grew soft in my arms, opening to me like a
flower.
Our tongues touched and I was set ablaze. A different fire from what burned inside me only moments ago.
She belonged to me. I was never giving her up.
My beast rose to the surface, eager to be reunited with its lost mate.
Make her ours again!
I had to act now. I slowed the kiss to let her catch her breath. Her heart thumped loud as a drum when my fangs touched the corner of her mouth.
Her emotions were a different furnace, consuming me. How she hated and loved me. This was my chance to tip the scale in my favor.
I nibbled her lower lips, letting her feel the tip of my wolf teeth before tilting her chin with my
thumb.
As I started to kiss down her throat, she gave the softest plea.
“Nick… please…”
It was clear that she knew what was coming. She wanted to fight me off, but a part of her wanted this. The fight would come any second. And I would overpower her!
