I picked up my office phone and waited for Samantha to pick up hers. It rang and rang and my brows furrowed. I looked at the clock on my desk, it was just two o’clock. When she didn’t pick up, I hung up and got up from my desk. I opened my office door and looked out. She
wasn’t there, and Sandra was on the phone. She looked up at me and she mouthed, lobby. I
nodded and went to the elevator. I scrolled on my phone when I got a text from an unknown
number. I opened it and my brows rose.
