After we ate, we hit up some more stores. I was pleasantly stuffed. We went to a jewelry store and I saw a piece in there that I absolutely had to get.
“Your mom would love this, right?” I asked Cia, Kimber and Tally.
“You want to buy our mom something?” Cia asked.
“I want to buy both your parents something. They have accepted me and have been so nice to me. But I want to use my own money, so please don’t tell Dashawn.”
“Nope, no way. I won’t lie to him or keep anything from him. He wants you to do your worst,
so do it.”
I grumbled under my breath. Everyone fanned out. I asked the sales clerk for the gold and pearl bracelet. It was so pretty. There were three pearls. A nice big one in the middle of two smaller ones on a rose gold bracelet. I told her I would take it, and I would like it wrapped, but to hold off on wrapping it up, because there were others I wanted to buy.
I found a gold two–fingered ring with a gold guitar on it. On the guitar were little diamonds all around it. I saw the painting of Rockstar with his guitar, and I just knew this was for him. Then I saw a skill ring, big and silver, with diamonds in the eye sockets and next to that was a diamond dollar sign money clip. I told the sales clerk I wanted those pieces too.
“Well, well, well. What’s a pretty bird like you doing in a store like this?” I heard behind me.
I turned with a raised brow that quickly turned into a blank face.
“Elliot, what does it look like? I am spending money.”
“Really? You? Pretty sure the stuff in here costs more than your yearly salary.”
I scoffed.
“Like you know what I get paid.”
“I know what PA’s get paid, but maybe you’re giving your boss a little extra,” he said, with a
smirk.
I smiled, “You’re right, I am.”
His smile vanished and he took a step closer.

“Gave it up to Krew, did you? Well, now that he’s had a taste, maybe it’s my turn,” he said, his
fingers skimming over my split lip.
I yanked my face away. The girls were still on the far side of the store, they hadn’t noticed us.
“Did he give you that? I heard he was ruthless.”
“Dashawn would never lay a finger on me in anger.”
“Dashawn is it?”
“Walk away, Elliot, before I make you.”
“Oh, baby, want to get rough? I like it a little rough. If I let you spank me, will you let me f*ck
that sweet a*s of yours?”
I know the look on my face had to be a look of disgust.
“Miss, your total is a hundred and sixty–seven thousand and forty–two cents.”
I whirled around and gawked at her. A hundred and sixty–seven thousand?
“What’s the matter, short stuff, can’t pay for it?” Elliot said behind me.
I snarled at him calling me short stuff and implying I couldn’t pay for it.
“I want this necklace here, that ring there, and this bracelet. Oh, and these earrings. No need
to gift wrap, they are mine.”
“That’s the spirit!” I heard Narissa say as she came over and smiled at me.
Her smile faltered, probably because my face was most likely red from anger.
“Are you okay, Sammy?”
“Yeah, Sammy, are you okay? You just added another two hundred grand to your total,” Elliot
said, with a sneer.
“Who in the f*ck are you?” Narissa asked.
“Oh, I’m an old friend of Sam’s. Right baby?”
“Don’t you call my sister baby,” Tally said.
“Sister? Sam doesn’t have any siblings.”
“You see this here?” Tally asked, as she turned me and pointed at the property patch on my
back. “This here makes her my sister. She’s my brother’s woman. So if I were you, I’d back the
f*ck off.”

“Do I know you? Yeah, you’re Thalia! Oh, sh*t, can I get your autograph and a selfie?” Elliot
I
asked, excitedly.
“F*ck off. Normally, I’m polite to my fans, but you are bothering my sister.”
“Again, she’s not your sister. And who or what is Money, and why are you the property of it?”
“This mother f*cker has a death wish,” Narissa said.
I blinked. Her beautiful face turned deadly. She had me slightly shaking. It was like some
switch turned on, and she went from my fun new friend to a predator. I looked at Elliot. He
was either really stupid, or he was ignoring her look. I was going with stupid.
“Money is our brother, it’s his road name, he’s the Treasurer for The Lords Of Chaos MC,”
Kimber said.
“You’re hanging out with criminals now?”
“Oh, dear lord,” I mumbled.
The next thing I knew, Elloit was flying through the air as Narissa literally Sparta kicked him
out of the jewelry store. The sales clerk came by with my total. I just handed her Dashawn’s
card as I watched Narissa stalk over to Elliot.
“I’d get up and run if I were you, El. You’re about to die.” I yelled.
He scrambled to his feet and glared at me.
“This ain’t over, Sam, I’ll have you one way or the other.”
I just scoffed and flipped him off. Narissa hissed at him and he took off. I laughed and so did
the others.
“Who was that guy?” Cia asked.
“That was my ex. He’s the reason why I didn’t want to give Dashawn a chance. He cheated on
me with my best friend when I was seventeen.”
“What an a*shat,” Resa said.
“Yep.” I said, popping the p.
We left shortly after. We went to the pharmacy and then made our way back to the
compound.
When we walked into the clubhouse, everyone except Dashawn, Demon, and Crush were there.
Tawny smiled over at us and then her face went hard as she stood up and rushed over.

“What happened to your lip?”
“Sh*t, I forgot about that,” I said.
“Heather is what happened. Ice, you need to kick that b*tch out. She attacked Samantha
because she thinks this cut should be hers. There’s surveillance at the mall. Get the video.
Heather is probably in jail if she hasn’t called you yet,” Cia said.
“I’ll get it. Mom, can you help?”
I saw Cassie nod at her son. And they got up from where they were sitting.
“Well, we’ll take care of her. I have some cream for that lip.”
“I’m fine, really. I just have a slight headache.”
“Probably from that a*shole you ran into,” Tally said.
“What a*shole?” Hunter asked, as he walked over and put his arm around his wife’s shoulders.
“Sam ran into an old boyfriend. He tried to start trouble, but Narissa handled it,” Resa said.
“An old boyfriend?” Tawny asked.
I nodded at her. “The one I told you
about.”
“Oh, that f*cktard. Good girl Narissa,” she said to her, patting her cheek.
“I have something for the two of you. Or I guess it’s from both Dashawn and I, since it was his
money.”
‘Oh, honey, hush about that, he has plenty, I’m sure you didn’t do any damage at all,” Tawny
said.
I panicked and blurted, “I spent three hundred and eighty–two thousand dollars, and that was
just at the jewelry store.”
I knew my eyes were wide, and I had to have gone pale, because Hunter quickly scooped me
up into his arms and brought me to a seat.
“Breathe, honey. Like Tawny said, that’s nothing to our son. You’re okay.”
I took a few deep breaths and nodded, letting him know I was okay.
I dipped into the jewelry bag. The sales clerk labeled each gift with a description of what was
inside. I tore the label off and gave it to Hunter.
He smiled at me, and quickly tore the paper off and opened the box.

“Oh, wow. This is beautiful.”
“I saw the painting of you with your guitar, and you’re called Rockstar, so I thought this fit you.”
“Thank you sweetheart,” he said. He leaned forward and kissed my forehead.
I then gave Tawny hers.
“You have both accepted me, and I am truly grateful. I love your son with all my heart and I can’t wait to become your daughter–in–law. I got you this because when I fell in love with your
son, I fell in love with the boy you raised. You’ve raised him into an incredible man and I thank
you for loving him and showing him what true love looks like so he could show me.”
Tawny opened the box. She already had tears in her eyes after I spoke, but now they fell.
“Oh, this is so beautiful. Thank you, and thank you for your kind words.”
She hugged me and I hugged her back fiercely.
After that, I let her fuss over my lip. She gave me a strong sedative, so I could take a nap. I
took a bath first, and I rested until the sedative kicked in. Then after drying off, I collapsed on
the bed. I didn’t care about clothes, I just wanted to sleep.
