Chapter 17–Electric

I have never felt so much s****I tension in my life..and the messed up thing is..I’m not sure if
she feels it too..
Gabriella has been in the apartment for one f*****g hour..one hour and I have never been so
nervous. Every move she makes or little cute noise she lets out…it’s driving me crazy.
I realized that even though Gabriella doesn’t speak, she makes a lot of adorable sounds and can express herself just fine with the looks on her face alone.
I asked if she needed help unpacking after we were able to kick her dad out..which I have to
give it to the guy..he tried every excuse in the book to stay..but Gabriella eventually pushed
him out the door..literally.
It was hilarious and she is pretty strong for being so tiny.
I watched as Gabriella unzipped her suitcase before flipping it over…that’s when I saw a little
stuffed rabbit pop out, making me lift my hand and point.
“Is this the famous Butterscotch?” I asked, making her cheeks grow pink before nodding her
head.
“May I?” I asked, not wanting to touch him if she didn’t want me to.
She picked him up before looking down at him fondly and passed him to me.
He definitely was well–loved..you could see where he might’ve torn in the past and was now
patched up in different places.
“Welcome to your new home Butterscotch.” I said cheerfully as Gabriella suddenly slapped her
hands over her face, hiding herself.
I turned to look at her, my heart beginning to race as I bent down close to her face.
I slowly reached up, my hand tugging at her wrist as her beautiful blue eyes came into view.
“Did that make you embarrassed?” I asked curiously, causing her to nod yes.
I couldn’t help but examine her closer, my eyes wandering down as she slowly began to
uncover her face.
Every inch of her was flawless..like she was some type of sculpture handcrafted by the most skilled creator to ever live..she was a work of f*****g art..and that was just her face alone.

We stood there for a few moments, my breathing growing deeper as I watched her lips part slightly.
I don’t know what was wrong with me..why I gravitated towards her so easily but before I knew it..my lips were mere inches from hers.
It was like a magnetic attraction, and she wasn’t pulling away either..instead, she fluttered her eyes closed, and a warm shuddering breath escaped those perfectly pink lips as her
sweetness drifted across my skin.
Just one kiss shouldn’t hurt..the devil on my shoulder whispered into my ear.
I bent down, my mouth gliding across hers as everything I knew changed in an instant.
I pressed my lips against her, my hand tightening around her wrist as I felt my heart skip a beat. Butterflies rushed through me as a jolt of electricity passed through us..it was so f*****g
startling that I jerked back, not expecting that to actually happen..
I looked down at Gabriella, her eyes slowly opened as she carefully raised her hand and
touched her lips.
Right at that moment I had the urge to do the same..I stepped forward, my hand trembling
uncontrollably as I lifted it to her cheek, cupping her beautiful face gently.
“You are so beautiful..and that..that was incredible.” I breathed, wanting to reassure her as she
peered up at me with those big doe eyes.
That’s when she let out a groan before bowing her head down and resting it against my chest, making me laugh before wrapping my arms around her in a hug. I was still holding Butterscotch as I stared at the cute little rabbit and a feeling of possessiveness washed over
- me.
I wanted to protect this girl..I wanted to be the one who she can rely on every day….I think I
want to be her person..
“Sorry if that was too soon.” I whispered, making her finally pull back as she shook her head
no adamantly.
Our eyes connected once more and I swear I could get lost in those beautiful blue orbs for
******g hours.
“We should finish packing and then we can order something for dinner if you like.” I offered, making the most dazzling smile pull at her lips as she quickly hugged me once again.
I was surprised by how comfortable she was with me..I mean..I knew I felt that way with her..but the fact that she doesn’t hesitate to touch me..it drives me crazy.

“Okay, let’s see..where does Butterscotch go?” I asked before lifting up the rabbit as she
looked towards the bed and pointed at the pillows.
I nodded once and walked over to the head of the bed before placing him right in the middle
as Gabriella gave me a thumbs up.
I felt giddy just being around her..like my palms were all sweaty and my heart was constantly
racing..I was making stupid jokes and doing weird ass things..I don’t even know who the hell |
am anymore.
“Is this the only suitcase you have?” I asked curiously while glancing over at her.
Gabriella nodded her head and I couldn’t help but frown..she didn’t have much..maybe she left
a lot of stuff at the house.
“Well, we can swing by your dad’s house later and pick up the rest sometime this week.” I said
as she suddenly averted her gaze before biting her lip.
Then she went to grab her phone as she began typing something.
Walking over, she flashed me the screen as I read what she wrote carefully.
“That’s all I have, and maybe we should stay away from the house for a while..well, until after
the wedding.” She wrote out, making my jaw clench as I could see the hesitation in her eyes..
It wasn’t a secret that Regina and her two daughters disliked Gabriella..I mean..that was easy
to see just with one interaction between them..but how deep did that hatred go?
“Hey, that’s not a problem okay? We can get you some new stuff..you are going to be my
wife..I want to take care of you remember?” I asked sweetly as she nodded her head tightly
and I could guess that she felt guilty.
I won’t lie..before, the mere idea of marrying Cecelia gave me a f*****g headache..because I
knew she liked to spend her father’s money like it was her full–time job.
So I vowed to give her an allowance and control her spending..but with Gabriella..I want to
spoil this girl f*****g rotten.
“I want to do this okay? Please..let me.” I whispered, my hands reaching up to her face once more as her eyes widened and she finally conceded..giving me a small smile that was enough
to make
my
damn knees weak.
I couldn’t help myself..I know..I’m already f*****g obsessed with this girl.
I bent down, kissing her again, my hands tilting her head back as I glided my lips across her mouth, placing soft tender kisses on each corner before pulling away breathlessly.

I know this was her first time..I knew she had no clue what she was doing but damn..that was
the best kiss I have ever had.
Oddly enough, this felt like my first time too.
“What are you doing to me Gabriella?” The words came out in a whisper as we stared at one
another once more.
Her eyes sparkled brightly as I wondered how the hell I was going to sleep in the other room
tonight…
“Why don’t you change into something more comfortable and then we can order whatever you want, okay?” I said softly before pulling away.
Gabriella nodded her head once more and I dragged myself out of that room, wishing I could stay by her side for every moment..
I walked down the hall before stopping and leaning against the wall, my eyes widening as I slowly lifted my arm, dragging my fingertips across my lips as I knew without a f*****g doubt..I was screwed..this girl..she might be the one person in this world that can bring Jamie Sinclair to his damn knees..and I can’t f*****g wait, because what I plan to do on those knees, will be f*****g life–changing.
