Chapter 11–Dreamy
(Gabriella)
I bit my lip nervously before peeking over at my dad’s sleeping form. He opted to share a bed
with me since I was kind of nervous about sleeping in a new place..it was all pretty intimidating I won’t lie.
I finally got the courage to text Jamie back and we ended up talking for two hours..and then I
got the message.
From Jamie: Can you send me a picture? I really want to see you.
I stared at the message, my eyes widening before I glanced toward my dad once more and
heard his snoring.
I quietly slid off the bed before creeping to the bathroom and gently shut the door.
He wanted a picture of me..like..what kind of picture?
I looked in the mirror before dragging my fingers through my messy black hair and sliding my
eyes up and down my body.
I was wearing one of Dad’s t–shirts with some sleep shorts underneath.
Lifting up the phone, I aimed it at the mirror before smiling shyly and snapping the picture.
Before I could doubt myself, I hit send and sank to the floor before slapping my hands over my
eyes. Who knew liking someone was so stressful..
I heard the phone vibrate on the marble floor before peeking through my fingers and saw
Jamie’s name pop up on the screen..but it wasn’t a text..no..he was doing a video call!!
I reached down, fumbling with the phone as I hit accept and pulled it up to my face.
“Hey.” He greeted, making me smile shyly while feeling my cheeks warm as I saw his face
come into view.
Holy Crap..he is more gorgeous than I remembered.
Jamie’s dark hair was parted in the middle, framing his gorgeous brown eyes as he looked
into the camera..even in this dull light they looked beautiful.
I saw a soft smile pulling at his lips as my eyes dragged down, seeing his naked chest, causing my eyes to widen in shock. I could see his broad muscular shoulders as he held the phone up..he was lying down in bed..

Was this real life?!
I waved at the camera before biting my lip nervously.
“I just wanted to say this in person..well..as close to in person as we can get.” He laughed lightly, his smile broadening as my heart began to race..was that a dimple on his cheek?!
I just blinked at the camera with doe eyes as I felt completely naive about all of this.
What could he want to tell me?
“You have to be the most beautiful woman I have ever seen..” He breathed, his voice deep and
husky, sending a shiver down my spine as I almost dropped the phone.
“Me?” I mouthed, pointing to myself as he smiled even wider and nodded his head yes.
“Yes, you..since the moment I saw you I thought that.” Jamie confessed, and I couldn’t help
myself, I placed my hand over my face, hiding my embarrassment as he let out a smooth
laugh.
“How the hell are you so cute? Ugh..I wish I was there with you right now.” Jamie added,
making me move my hand down and peek at the phone again.
“Gabriella..maybe..well..if you don’t want to stay at the hotel, I always have a room here you could stay in.” He whispered, his offer taking me aback as I just blinked my eyes and stared at
him.
We stayed like that for a few moments as I let his words sink in..he wants me to stay at the
house?
“This is a lot more nerve–wracking since you can’t speak. Can you text me what you are thinking?” He laughed nervously as I nodded my head, realizing I was just sitting here and
doing nothing.
I pulled up his chat and typed back a response.
To Jamie: You..you don’t think it would be too soon? I mean..we aren’t married yet..will people think badly of us?
I sent..really thinking that they might think badly of him because of how people view me..
I went back to the video call and watched Jamie’s face morph into one of confusion.
“Think badly of us? To be honest..I don’t care what other people think..I only care what you think. If you are uncomfortable with the idea, then we can wait but I promise it’s just to make you feel more comfortable.” He explained and I shook my head no emphatically before pulling up his texts again.

To Jamie: Well, I don’t mind..I mean..if you want me to.
I sent it quickly, feeling like I might have some type of heart attack. I was getting married to
Jamie after all, so I would live there eventually. I just don’t want to push him..what if he
changes his mind or something?
“Yes, I want you to. Do you want to?” He asked deeply, the cute way his eyes widened and
looked at the phone made my heart flip.
I nodded my head up and down, telling him yes as he let out a rush of air.
“Great! I will call your dad tomorrow and let him know..” He exclaimed excitedly before clearing
his throat and trying to play it cool.
“I mean..I will handle it so don’t worry okay?” He stated once more as I nodded my head again,
unable to fight this huge grin that now filled my face.
“Fuck..you are so beautiful..” Jamie whispered as we just looked at one another, my eyes
examining his handsome features carefully, committing them to memory as I couldn’t believe
this man chose me..
He could’ve picked anyone..I have no doubt in my mind..but he picked me.
“Gabriella, you better go get some sleep okay? It’s already past midnight and you have had a
long day.” He stated, the tone of his voice more husky now and taking me by surprise as
something seemed to change.
I looked into the camera once more and lifted my hand, waving goodbye. I did feel sleepy all of
a sudden.
“Goodnight, give Butterscotch a hug for me.” He added as I couldn’t help the giggle that
escaped me, making Jamie’s face turn red as he looked at me with wide eyes.
“That was freaking adorable.” He stated as I panicked and hung up the phone before laying
back on the cool marble floor and hugging the small rectangular object to my chest.
This had to be some type of dream…
I lifted my hand before pinching my thigh and wincing..nope..it’s real.
Suddenly I felt my phone vibrate again, prompting me to look down and see another message.
From Jamie: Sweet dreams beautiful, and here is a picture for you, just to make it even.
I clicked the photo he sent, seeing his bright brown eyes sparkling and smooth full lips curved
up into a smile as I looked at the picture intently..wow was he dreamy..he was like one of
those guys I read about in my romance books. This is exactly what I pictured when I created

I clicked it, trying to find out how to save the picture as I saw an option pop up.
Make wallpaper..
I tapped the option and hit agree before going back to my home screen and saw Jamie’s handsome face staring back at me…
Okay, it’s official, this really has been the best day of my life and I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
