CHAPTER 172: DARE TO LOVE ME, My Fiancée, Part
Ashley
“Grandfather?” I approached him to give him two kisses, and Alaia did the same. He welcomed us delightedly. He nodded cordially to Tino and Loli, offering a smile that they returned.
“To what do I owe the honor of having you here?” I walked towards the chair behind my desk, and the others followed so we could speak privately.
“There’s no need for them to leave. I can speak with Ashley while you’re here. I believe this concerns you,” he said, looking at Tino, who dramatically brought his hand to his chest and raised his eyebrows.
“We have located Enrico Rossi,” he said after sitting down, and my eyes widened as I looked toward Alaia and Tino, I straightened up in my chair. “He arrived in Monaco last night. He’s been on a world trip for months,” he explained, taking a folded sheet from his jacket pocket. “I offered to go speak with him, but it seems he only wants to see you.” I sat down, took the sheet, and proceeded to read its contents.
“I appreciate you trying, Grandfather, but I want to do this myself,” I said, and he nodded.
“You have an appointment with Rossi this afternoon at his hotel. If you want to arrive on time,”
he glanced at his wristwatch, “you’ll have to leave right now. I have the plane ready for the
trip.”
He finished, and I jumped to my feet, quickly moving towards my grandfather to give him two
kisses.
“Thank you, you’re the best,” I said, hugging him before turning to see the others. Alaia nodded, and Tino confirmed with his gaze.
“Let’s go,” I said, and without hesitation, they walked with me. Gus nodded when he saw us
outside the building, and I understood he’d come with us. Where could Gavin be?
“Talk about divine intervention, just two days before the fashion show, which I thought meant
we’d have to debut a new brand and start over,” Tino said when we’d gotten into the car,
distracting me from my thoughts.
“I don’t know. We can’t claim victory yet. We don’t know if Enrico is willing to sell. I haven’t
liked the fact that he specifically asked to see me.”
“We must be cautious for now, but let’s look at the bright side–we’ll be in Monaco in five

hours.”
I smiled at Alaia; we loved Monaco.
It didn’t take long for us to board the plane, and five hours later, when Loli slept next to Tino and the kids while Alaia and I discussed the possibilities of this trip and going to a restaurant we liked the last time we were here, we arrived.
The plane landed, and everyone was more alert after their nap. We disembarked, and a warm, pleasant breeze greeted us.
Tino was the last one out, so we waited for him to appear at the door. When he did, he stood
there for a few seconds, inhaled the air, and smiled with satisfaction.
“I’m coming for you, Charles Leclerc,” he said, descending the stairs with a radiant smile, and we laughed. He was hopeless.
A car was already waiting for us, thanks to my grandfather, and we asked to be taken directly to the hotel where I was supposed to meet Enrico.
We got into the van, and I rode in silence, only hoping to return with the ownership papers of my stores in my hands. I couldn’t allow them to snatch away something so important to us. Tino and I had given everything to our brand.
As expected, the hotel was full of luxury and glamour. It was marvelous.
I put away my sunglasses, and we walked confidently to the reception desk.
“Bonsoir,” I greeted, and the receptionist replied. “J’ai rendez–vous avec Mr. Enrico Rossi.” I
gave her the details of my appointment, and she looked something up on her laptop.
“Bien sûr, vous pouvez aller au restaurant ouvert, vous pouvez vous y attendre,” she said,
pointing the way to the restaurant where she told me I’d be meeting Rossi.
“Merci,” I said and led my small group in that direction.
We arrived at an area with tables and settled into one. The kids were getting restless, so Loli
took them to another area, the garden visible from here.
“Was this your fiancé?” Tino showed me his tablet, and I sat down. It was a family photo from a news article. There he was, his parents, a girl, and a boy. From the background, it looked like it had been taken outside this hotel. “Well, he’s not around here.” He looked from side to side.
“But what beautiful views.” He gestured towards the sea.
“Incredible,” Alaia agreed. I couldn’t help but feel the tension in us.
“I take it back.” Tino removed his sunglasses to look inside the restaurant. “These views are

much better.” He settled back in his chair.
Alaia and I looked in the same direction and noticed two guys. They were wearing red, white, and black racing suits with sleeves tied around their waists. One of them must have been 20 and the other 30. They were blond, tall, and fit. Wow, just wow.
Perplexed like we hadn’t been in a long time, we watched the men walk down the aisle. towards our table. We continued to stare at them in silence. They were like magnets, holding a conversation that made them smile.
“Feast your eyes, ladies!” Tino exclaimed, and we turned to look at him.
“You feast your eyes, Tony,” Alaia replied, and our friend rolled his eyes.
“We love our men. We just saw the sights of Monaco, but that doesn’t mean we want them for ourselves, you little troublemaker,” I retorted.
“Good afternoon,” they spoke, and before we could have a staring contest with Tino, we saw who had spoken.
“Good…” The words died in my mouth when I saw it was the two guys we were just watching.
“Delighted, Lyon Rossi.” The younger one took my hand and placed a gallant kiss on it without taking his eyes off mine. “You must be my fiancée, Ashley Russell,” he said, straightening up, and I didn’t understand a thing. He didn’t look anything like Enrico. Did he just say Rossi?
