CHAPTER 167:DARE TO LOVE ME Dare to dare
Alaia, Mr. Garnett, and the kids were back from their trip. It had been a fun day, with the children excitedly telling me about their wonderful weekend at one of the mansions they had
for summer in Madrid.
We finished afternoon classes. I let them go ahead to the kitchen, and I asked one of the girls for some fruit and sandwiches for the little ones‘ afternoon snack.
I was finishing up a sandwich, cutting it with a dinosaur–shaped mold for Noah, having already finished Alana’s stars, while I listened to the little ones laughing in the garden. Suddenly, they appeared in the kitchen, and I saw them running towards me with cute smiles.
“Loli, a coffee,” Alana said in her sweet, excited voice, and Noah pointed to the patio where I could see Gavin watching us with an amused look on his face. I looked back at the children,
and Alana stretched out her little arms, offering me a small box.
I took it and saw it was from my favorite bakery. I opened it and found a puff pastry dessert with dulce de leche and whipped cream that I loved, although it was a bit messy because Alana had been carrying it while running. I smiled at the little ones, took out the smeared note
inside, and read:
*“How about we go for the coffee that this dessert needs…?*
*Gavin“*
With several questions in my head, among them, I wanted to know who had told him what my
favorite dessert was.
After feeling a slight tingle in my chest, I pressed the little card between my fingers. Was it possible that he was interested in me? I grimaced. As much as I wanted to, the fear of allowing myself to feel and get hurt was stronger than me. I shook my head and tried to return.
the dessert to Alana.
“No, for you,” she said. She shook her little head, her pigtail swaying from side to side, pointed
at me, and returned the box to my hands.
He had cheated. I couldn’t say no to my children… But to him…
“Okay, my love, I’ll have it, but you can tell Gavin that I appreciate it, but no,” I said. I caressed their faces, and they nodded before running in Gavin’s direction. I took a step to watch as they reached him and looked up at his imposing height. I smiled as I saw Alana tell him no with her little finger. I noticed Gavin laughing, and when he was about to look up at me, I took a few steps to the side, out of his line of sight. The children came back to me, and I noticed Gavin

Days later…
The week had gone by quickly, and I’d only seen Ashley and Tino running around like crazy to
finish the collection. Alaia had been with them, supporting them in any way she could, and I’d been to the shop where everything was chaos, everyone running around. I’d always seen Ash
and Tino have the collection ready ahead of time, but they were very committed and made
sure everything was perfect until the day before the fashion show.
“Loli!” Tino shouted from the living room, and I frowned. “Loliiiiiitaaaaaa!” I heard another
shout and came running out of the kitchen to meet him.
I smiled when I saw Alaia and Ash with him. The little ones ran to greet their mom and then
their aunt and uncle.
“Did you call me?” I asked, noticing he had one hand on his hip and in the other he held a
package which he stretched out towards me.
“This came for you,” he sang, and I wrinkled my nose. Another package. It had all started with
the dessert on Monday, and they hadn’t stopped coming until today. I didn’t have to guess who
had sent it, because I already knew.
“Why did you bring it to me?” I asked. It had always been the girls who had been in charge of
delivering them to me.
“It arrived just as we were coming in. I saw the delivery guy and figured it was from one of
those exclusive shops that I like so much, you know, I wanted the pleasure of seeing what’s in
there firsthand, and well, it’s yours! Come on, open it, I can’t stand the curiosity,” he said. He
jumped towards me, and I approached to take it.
“Come on.” He pushed me towards the furniture, and we all went over there. Of course, Tino
sat next to me.
“Loli, if you don’t want to open it now, it’s okay,” Ash said, and Alaia nodded after seeing Noah’s
little face, as he had given her a tender kiss on the cheek.
“Okay, let’s see what it is,” I said. I hadn’t told anyone what had been going on with the
packages I’d been getting.
I opened the bag and started opening each package until I got to the small, fine box. The girls watched my movements closely. I lifted the lid to reveal a beautiful necklace with brilliant stones in the shape of double leaves, joined together neatly to form a circle.

“It’s beautiful!” Tino exclaimed and took the box. “But it’s a Harry Winston,” he said, enchanted,
and showed it to the girls.
“Well, it is,” Alaia said as she took it.
“The cut is perfect, Harry is the darling of many ladies who love diamonds,” Ash observed, and I blinked when I heard they were diamonds.
“What exquisite taste,” Tino said as he took the box again. “What’s this?” he asked, furrowing
his brow.
“What?” I questioned and turned to look at him. He read the note silently and let out a small scream, bringing a hand to his chest. I took the note from his hands.
“So… I’ll take you to dinner.*
*Gavin“*
He put the time and date for tomorrow on the note.
I swallowed a knot of emotions in my throat.
“It’s from Gavin, he’s invited me to dinner,” I exhaled and satisfied the curiosity of the girls who
were looking at me curiously.
“Mother of God, I’ve never been invited to dinner by being sent diamonds,” Tino said as he tried
to put the box with the necklace on his neck, to see how it would look on him.
“Well…” I bit my lip. “It’s not the only thing he’s sent me,” I explained, and the three of them
looked at me. “Come on.”
I stood up and walked towards my room with them.
I took the boxes out of the closet and showed them. In them was a beautiful emerald green
dress that brought out my eyes–yes, I had already measured it, it fit me perfectly–some light
beige sandals, and the earrings that matched the necklace.
“But he sent you the whole outfit!” Tino exclaimed. “I told you, the blond has great taste, huh?”
“The clothes are beautiful,” Ash said as she caressed the fabric of the dress.
“He’s thought of every detail, Loli,” Alaia observed.
“I’ve returned them every time they’ve arrived. Well, I leave them at the guest house, since he’s
coincidentally never there when I go, but I don’t know how he’s done it and the things get back to me, I’ve given up,” I sighed and sat down on a piece of furniture in front of them. “I think it’s
too much.” I didn’t need much to know that those clothes were very fine and expensive too.

“What a man does for the woman he cares about will never be too much, Loli. You deserve to be pampered,” Tino said as he measured the dress over his clothes.
“So Gavin has insisted,” Alaia looked at me.
“Yes, I’ve seen him more than I’d like lately,” I told them about the restaurant and the club. “He even helped my father and some friends by saving them from some beasts.” The three of them looked at me intently. “I’ll tell you about it some other time,” I sighed.
“I don’t know, I feel like all this is because I’m not chasing after him anymore, I’ve hurt his ego, maybe I’m just a challenge to him,” I expressed what I’d been thinking ever since Gavin had
had his eye on me.
“I’ll tell you what, my Loli, I’ve seen men who insist because they care about the girl. I think. with all your refusals, another man would have given up, but he hasn’t,” Ash intervened.
I bit the inside of my cheek.
“Well, I’m sure that handsome, wild, brute of a blond is interested in our Loli and is doing what it takes to get her back. Oh, I’m so excited,” Tino said.
My face must have been one of complete confusion.
“I’m not saying you have to go to dinner, but I think he’s looking for a moment to talk to you. It might be what you need to find out what he wants and then you can decide,” Alaia said as she took my hands, and I sat down.
“Well, whatever will be, honey, you only live once and I’ve never liked being left wondering what would have happened if I had done this or that,” Tino gestured with his hands, and I remained
silent.
“I don’t know, I’m scared,” I said in a whisper. “I’m scared of having my heart broken again, it hurts so much,” I said looking at the three of them, and they came closer to hug me.
“Tell me about it, we know how much it hurts,” Ash looked at me tenderly. “It’s in your hands, deciding to take a chance, honey,” she said with understanding, and I sat in silence.
“Come on, let’s not overwhelm her anymore, let’s go to Ash’s house, we’ll order food while they organize the logistics of the show,” Alaia invited me.
“I’ll be there in a minute,” I said. They all nodded and looked at me with affection before
leaving.
I watched them leave, talking and taking the little ones with them. I looked at the dress Alaia had left delicately spread out on the bed along with everything else, and I sighed.
I had a struggle going on inside of me.

CHAPTER 167: DARE TO LOVE M…
I stood up, took the things, and put them back in their packaging. I exhaled and walked
towards the guest house where Gavin lived with Gus. Whatever it was, I couldn’t accept the
gifts, but maybe I’d accept that coffee.
I saw movement in the gym and walked towards it. The outer door was open. I stopped dead
in my tracks when I saw Gavin training with one of the security guys. He had shorts on and his bare torso was covered in sweat. My body reacted, and I closed my eyes. There was no
denying he hadn’t left my mind.
“Take a chance,” I let out a deep breath.
A laugh made me open them.
“The only way to stop obsessing over a woman is to take her to bed,” my heart pounded as I heard Gavin’s voice, and I looked for him. He had a smile on his lips and moved around the
ring.
“And it’s more fun when they play hard to get, you shower them with gifts until they fall, that way it’s more satisfying when you see them underneath you, panting,” the other one replied. I heard their laughter, looked at the packages, left them on the floor, and walked towards the house. I understood everything.
