CHAPTER 141: DARE TO LOVE ME We Accept Part 1

“Careful, guys. We know you’re strong, but those garments have to arrive in the UK in one
piece,” Tino said to the men who were picking up the boxes containing the garments from the
collection we had finished here. “Once we’re in the UK, we’ll add the final touches and fit them
on the models.”
The day had come to face my father. My uncle Patrick had arranged for the money my
grandmother left me to be transferred to my account, although my birthday was still a week
away. I knew it wouldn’t be easy talking to my father, since he had asked my uncle to freeze
the funds until further notice. Luckily, my uncle had told him that he had to respect my
grandmother’s last decision regarding her grandchildren and that he couldn’t go against his
own mother’s wishes.
Good heavens, things had gotten messy between them, but it was my father’s fault. He wasn’t
interested in getting along with any member of the family.
“Everything’s in the car. All that’s left is our luggage. I called the spiders to have everything
ready. They know we’re arriving tomorrow,” Tino said as he came back into the room. We were
leaving tonight. We had just returned from San Francisco a few days ago, where we had
witnessed the new engagement between Alaia and Nick. It was so beautiful that I even
wanted something like that to happen to me. Well, I wished for it sometimes. Although I had
asked my cousin to stay with him to continue enjoying the wonderful honeymoon they were
having after a few difficult years–and these last few months that were so intense for
everyone, in which they went through so much–luckily, love had won in the end. Despite all
that, Alaia wanted to come with me to the UK, and so I took her at her word. We were a
dynamic trio that was complemented by the mischievous little ones, and I would be delighted
to have her by my side. Afterward, I’d return her to Nick.
“Miss,” one of the girls who worked at the house entered my room, “a couple of young ladies
have come to see you.”
“Who?” Tino asked before I could.
“But they’ve come to see *me*,” I said, sticking out my tongue.
“Well, I’m curious. You never have visitors, dear. Maybe we’ll finally decipher the enigma you’ve
been keeping from me for so long. Look, I’ve been investigating, but you’re like a tomb. I’m
starting to think you don’t trust me anymore.” He wiped away an imaginary tear, and I exhaled.

CHAPTER 141: DARE TO LOVE M…
“Come on, let’s go see who it is,” I said, without answering what he had said, and I took his
arm.
We went down the stairs, and I found Jessie with her sister, the friendly Joy.
“Asher,” Jessie stood up as soon as she saw us.
“Girls, I never would have imagined seeing you at my house,” I said, greeting them with two kisses. “This is Tino, my best friend and business partner.”
“Nice to meet you,” he said, extending his hand in a feminine way.
“Are you gay too?!” Joy jumped up and down.
“Yes, he is too,” I confirmed, and Tino looked at them, showing how proud he was to be gay.
“That’s great!” the girl exclaimed, clapping her hands together.
We heard a child’s scream coming running, and we knew it was Alana.
“What beautiful children,” they both said and Joy was the one who approached and
entertained them.
We sat down on the furniture, and I asked one of the girls to bring us some refreshments.
“Excuse my boldness in coming here without your permission, but you know, I was able to find
you easily… it’s just that I remembered you mentioned you were a fashion designer and I
wanted to ask you a favor. No one better than you for what I want,” Jessie said with a special
sparkle in her eyes.
They brought us our drinks.
“If it’s in my hands, I’ll be happy to help you,” I said, feeling curious, and I took a sip of my Pepsi.
“I need a wedding dress for myself,” she said, and her body showed her excitement. I felt the drink go down the wrong way, and I started coughing. Tino got worried, patted me on the back, and handed me a napkin.
“For God’s sake, honey, you’re going to give me a heart attack!” my friend exclaimed, and little
by little, I could breathe again.
“I’m sorry, it was just very cold,” I excused myself, composing myself.
“What were we talking about?” I asked.
“Her wedding dress.” Tino looked at my face and narrowed his eyes slightly.
“Oh, yes, that. No, no, I can’t,” I hastened to answer. I couldn’t!

“But I haven’t told you the date yet, the girl pouted. “William and I would be very happy if you were the one to design my dress,” she said, and again, I felt the drink starting to choke me. However, this time I swallowed hard, preventing it from happening again, but I felt a stinging in my eyes.
She was getting married. Little Miss Perfect was getting married, and not to me. But what was I saying?
“When’s the date?” Tino asked, and I turned to look at him.
“In a month,” she said, and my stomach cramped. “My parents are willing to pay whatever it takes for the dress. There’s no limit. I can have it covered in diamonds if I want,” she said happily.
“No, no, sweetie, that would be too much. You don’t need a dress covered in diamonds. Well, unless you want to. We can make any dress possible,” Tino told her.
“It’s just to give you an idea,” she said with a smile that made her cheeks look full. She was so happy. “Can I use your dressing table?” she asked, and we both pointed the way as she stood up and walked off.
“This would be very good for us, getting into the American market, honey. Why did you say no? If you don’t want to do it, I’ll take care of it. The girl is a socialite in this city. The heavens are handing you opportunities, and there you are, ready to say no,” Tino spoke softly.
“It’s a bad idea,” I whisper–shouted.
“No, it’s a good idea. I love this city, and having clients would be wonderful. We could even open a shop here when we get rid of Sauron.” Tino looked excited.
“We accept, Tino put his hands on his knees when he saw her arrive, and I elbowed him.
