CHAPTER 108: DARE TO LOVE ME: F*ck Boy
Ashley
Months before.
I saved the design I was working on and grabbed the company laptop. Today, I was supposed
to meet William Garnett for the first time–the self–absorbed f*ck boy I disliked. But I had no
choice. My lovely cousin thought it was a brilliant idea to trap me in this situation with him.
During the last meeting, it was clear he wanted to work with Carolina, a stunning blonde who
was part of the T–World engineering team. But Alaia, my cousin, probably wanted to avoid a
very likely scandal. And who did she choose to prevent it? Me. I was sure she did it to screw
me over, of course. To make sure I didn’t get too bored during my time here–though I was
certain I would. How was I supposed to meet any guys? I’d figure it out while I was here,
though I doubted I’d find anyone I liked. No man had seemed attractive to me for years. They were all f*ck boys who feared commitment and saw women as objects with pretty faces, big ***s, or asses like the Kardashians. Not that I didn’t have some of that, but it would’ve been
refreshing to meet a man who was interested in my personality, the way I thought, my hobbies -who found that attractive. If I felt the same about him, great. But no, that man didn’t exist.
That’s why I had given up on love and men. I was tired of being disappointed, so I stayed far
away from those types–especially William Garnett, who embodied everything I’d just
described.
I climbed into the company SUV, where one of the bodyguards was driving me to the Garnett
offices.
“We’ve arrived, ma’am,” Gus said, opening the door for me, which I allowed. I was supposed to be pretending to be a gay guy–delicate like Tino. The staff at the house knew I was a woman, but they had to keep up appearances.
“Thanks,” I said, stepping out and walking toward the entrance.
“Good morning,” I greeted the receptionist. “I’m Asher Russell. I’m here to meet William Garnett.” I glanced at my watch. I was on time.
“Yes, sir, Mr. Garnett is expecting you at the restaurant,” she said, pointing in the direction, and I frowned. Why would he schedule the meeting there and not tell me?
“Thanks,” I muttered, a bit annoyed, and left the building. It was strange that some girls were eyeing me. I guessed they were a little confused. I mean, I was rocking a high–school–boy look that was to die for, and it seemed some girls like guys with boyish faces.

I nodded to the man at the restaurant’s entrance.
“Good afternoon, sir…”
“Asher Russell.”
“Do you have a reservation?” the giant asked.
“No, I’m here for a meeting with William Garnett,” I explained, and the man checked something
on his tablet.
“Of course, go ahead, Mr. Russell. Mr. Garnett is at the bar,” he said, pointing me in the right
direction. I thanked him and headed over.
I walked, trying to maintain the posture of the guy I was pretending to be, and noticed Will
spotting me while he was on a call. His eyes followed me until I reached him. I waited for him
to finish talking, glancing around and ordering a juice. I couldn’t drink while working. Well,
technically, I could sense my grandpa owned the company, but I didn’t feel like it.
“Man, order something stronger,” William said, patting my back so hard it nearly knocked the
air out of my lungs. What a beast.
“We’re on the clock. It’s not a good idea to drink,” I said seriously, pointing at his drink.
“It’s just one,” he said nonchalantly, taking another sip.
“I thought we were meeting in your office,” I said, looking around the fancy restaurant and
leaning both elbows on the bar in a very masculine gesture.
“I get bored in the office. This is a good place to work,” he said, bringing his glass to his lips, though his eyes were glued to a stunning blonde walking with her friends. I rolled my eyes and sipped my juice. A good place to work? More like a good place to meet his flavor of the night.
“Alright, what time do we start?” I asked, opening my laptop.
“Relax, bro,” he said, grabbing my arm. “We’ve got time. You’re early.”
“You’re kind of scrawny,” he added, squeezing my arm again. “You should join me at the gym. I
know a routine that could help you out.” He released my arm.
“The size of a man’s hand can give you an idea of the size of his d**k, Tino’s words echoed in my head as I continued to stare at Will’s hand.
“I’m fine, thanks,” I said, clearing my throat and adjusting my suit.
“Maybe you’re right. I saw a few girls checking you out when you walked in. But you could increase your chances if you worked on those arms,” he shrugged, flexing the massive muscle in his suit. For a moment, I lost myself staring at it, but I quickly snapped back.

“I’m not interested in that kind of attention,” I said, focusing on my drink and taking another
sip.
“You’re not serious,” he leaned back in his chair, watching me closely.
“I don’t go out much,” I replied, and he gave me a curious look.
“Are
you shy?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.
“No,” I said. I was the last thing from shy.
“I get it,” he said, leaning toward me on the bar. “You’re a virgin,” he added, and I turned to him,
my mouth hanging open, unable to respond.
“What? No,” I muttered, feeling my face flush.
“Don’t worry. We’ll take care of that,” he assured me, “you’re in good hands.”
“William,” a girl–a bombshell–approached my companion and grabbed his arm.
“Jessie,” Will said, looking surprised, and they embraced.
“Oh my God, I couldn’t believe it was you! I thought you’d be at the office,” she said, giving him
a peck on the lips, and making me raise both eyebrows.
“When did you get back?” Will asked, giving her his full attention. Okay, this was interesting.
“My flight landed last night. I came to see you as soon as I could,” she said, touching his face.
“You look more handsome than ever.” William gazed at her, smiling in a way that made me
scrunch up my face in confusion.
“You look stunning,” they hugged again.
“Oh, where are my manners? Jessie Kelly,” she said, extending her hand to me. I shook it.
“Asher Russell,” I introduced myself, and she smiled.
“Nice to meet you. I have to say, you have an incredible androgynous look,” Jessie said,
examining me more closely.
“I’ve been told that,” I replied, knowing that if she looked much longer, she’d figure out I was a girl. William knitted his brows and looked at me for a few more seconds.
“Will and I dated all through high school. We broke up after graduation when I had to move to Korea with my parents,” she explained excitedly, her hand resting on Will’s chest as he smiled that special smile again. I wrinkled my nose at the display.
“Incredible that you two still look at each other like that,” I said, gesturing toward them.
“I know, I think we’ve never stopped being important to one another.” William and Jessie

exchanged glowing looks.
“I have to go, but you’re invited to dinner at my place this Saturday. My mom will be thrilled to
see you,” she said, beaming.
“I’d love to catch up with your parents,” Will replied warmly. After a short conversation, Jessie
left, and Will watched her go. I raised both eyebrows.
“It’s time,” he said, putting the glass down on the bar and leaving a few bills. “I’ve got it,” he
said, pointing to my glass. His phone started ringing.
“Candace,” he said after answering. “Yes, tonight, same place as always,” he confirmed and
hung up.
This man… I sighed internally.
“Where were we?” he asked as we stepped into the elevator. “Ah, right, your virginity,” he
remembered, and I rolled my eyes.
“It’ll be easy. Follow my advice. Like I said, you’re in good hands. I like you, man. You’ll stop
being a virgin sooner than you think,” he joked.
“Dude, I’m not-” I started to reply, but the elevator doors opened, and he stepped out before I
could finish.
I closed my eyes and prayed for patience.
