Al día siguiente era fin de semana . Sierra acompañó a Johnathan al aeropuerto .
Anoche , Johnathan habló con Sierra sobre Quinn . Dijo que era su hermana , pero en realidad , era alguien a quien la madre de Johnathan había apadrinado durante años .

Debido a lo que Johnathan había compartido , Sierra se había formado una imagen aproximada de quién podría ser Quinn .
Pero cuando conoció a Quinn , se dio cuenta de que se había equivocado . Esperaba una mujer fuerte e independiente . En cambio , Quinn era gentil y elegante , con un aura de calma .
A lo lejos , Quinn los vio y los saludó con una sonrisa radiante . ” ¡Johnathan ! ”
Tenía una mano sosteniendo a su hijo y la otra empujando su equipaje mientras se acercaba .
Johnathan y Sierra se acercaron para ayudar con las bolsas . Quinn gritó de nuevo : ” ¡Oye ! “.

En realidad, era la primera vez que veía al hijo de Quinn .
“Yeah. Say hi to Uncle Johnathan.”

Quinn smiled warmly. “If your mother were still around…” She suddenly realized her slip and quickly changed the subject. “Johnathan, let’s grab something to cat. I’ve really missed the food in Capital City!”
“Yeah,” Johnathan agreed, pushing Quinn’s luggage toward the car.
Sierra fell in step beside Quinn and glanced at the child walking with her. “How old is she?”
“She’s three. Her name’s Dora.”
“She’s adorable,” Sierra said with a smile.
Children are intuitive. Dora wasn’t afraid of Sierra at all–she kept stealing little glances at her.
Sierra wasn’t the chatty type, and she didn’t know Quinn well, so once the polite exchanges were over, she didn’t say much else.
Johnathan dropped Quinn and Dora off at their hotel first, then drove them all to the restaurant.
It was Sierra’s first time at this place, but Quinn seemed very familiar with it.
“It’s been so many years since I’ve been back. This place hasn’t changed at all,” Quinn said with a trace of nostalgia.
Johnathan called the waiter and ordered a few dishes. Then he handed the menu to Quinn.
“That’s plenty,” she said, waving her hand. “There’s no way we can finish all that. And besides, you ordered everything I love. You’ve got a good memory. After all these years, you still remember what I like to eat.”
Sierra glanced at her at that, but Quinn’s expression was calm and relaxed. She looked away.
Johnathan added, “Back then, whenever we ate out, nine times out of ten, we came here. It was always the same dishes–it’d be weird if I didn’t remember. Ask Mateo. He could probably name them all.”
Quinn laughed. “How’s Mateo? Is he doing okay?”
“He’s fine. He had something going on today. He’ll catch up with you another day. But looking at you, I figure you’re not leaving anytime soon.”
Ante eso , la sonrisa de Quinn se desvaneció levemente . Después de un momento , dijo en voz baja : « Sí . No pienso irme esta vez » .
Johnathan ya lo había adivinado . Miró a Dora a su lado , pero no insistió .
Pronto llegó la comida . Johnathan puso una costilla en el plato de Sierra .
” Prueba esto . Lo hacen muy bien aquí . Creo que te gustará ” .
