“I think Luna still remembers your kindness. She’s just angry right now. Forget about the past. Tell me, how did she interact with all of you before?
“What did she fear the most? What did she care about the most?”
“I got it!” He suddenly shook off her hand and walked briskly ahead.
“Luna cares the most about Wyatt. She listens to him more than anyone else. She’s so al now because he chose to stand by you and didn’t care about her.
“As long as he calms her down, she’ll be just like before and won’t be mad at us anymore going to have a word with him.”
Watching Russell walk away, all excited, Mia stood frozen. She couldn’t help but feel the w thing was painfully ironic.
Everyone thought Luna had made a mistake in the past, and Mia was the right one. Howe now that Luna had decided to sever ties, everyone had forgotten about her faults.
Russell was an idiot. She had just tried to make him think about Luna’s leverage on him so they could control her, yet he was now talking about having Wyatt calm her down.

“If you ask me, this all started because of me. I should apologize to her.”
Wyatt slammed the cup on the table. “Don’t go. She made the mistake, and she has admi to it. Yet, she’s making a scene again. She’s just being stubborn, which means she hasn’t sincerely apologized.

By now, everyone knew that Luna wasn’t coming back. The only thing left was their frustration with her cold attitude.
The person most upset now was Russell.
“Wyatt, can’t you comfort her? After all, she’s still our junior. She’s been with us for so many years on the same team. Do we really have to let things become so awkward?”
“Am I the one who wants that?” Wyatt glared at Russell. “I know what you’re up to. You want her to help you with your graduate school materials, right?
“You’re aware that she’s your junior, but think about it. How many things have you had her do for you over the years? What? Can’t you do it yourself if she doesn’t help out?
“Do you want me to talk to Professor Hanley and beg him to bring her back, while you can leave instead?”
Russell paled before his face turned red from being scolded.
“I didn’t mean it like that. With so much going on recently, someone needs to help organize the materials. Luna had always helped before, so I wasn’t expecting her to refuse!”
“Enough. She’s no longer part of the team, so stop trying to get anything out of her.” Wyatt’s eyes darkened with a hint of coldness.
“Don’t worry too much. She has never stayed mad at me for more than three days. She’ll come back and apologize within that period. Then, I’ll put in a good word for you.”
Russell’s face brightened. He knew Wyatt wouldn’t allow Luna to completely leave the team. Thank you, Wyatt!”

Within the team, Luna had always respected Wyatt. She even once said that he was a big part of why she joined the team.
Though she never openly admitted to liking Wyatt, Wyatt had already figured it out and often mentioned it to the others. He said that he only saw her as a close friend and that they should keep their boundaries with her.
