We headed back towards the field and Avery came running up to me as soon as she saw me
and Lucas quickly brushed the bark off of the back of my sweater from where I had been pushed up against the tree.

I looked over her shoulder and saw the same guy standing behind her that I saw the day
before.

“We still have to discuss that.” Toby said.

I looked back at Lucas and he stepped forward to put his arm around my waist, picking up on the worry on my face. Knowing that I would be really heart broken if Avery left.
But if that’s what she had to do to be with her mate then there was nothing I could do about it.
