CHAPTER 051
NOAH’S POV
I wasn’t at all impressed when Lucas showed up at the house wanting to have some alone
time with Emma.
I don’t trust that bastard and he’s already hurt Emma way too much.
I understand her wanting to keep him close the other day because we didn’t want him to lose his mind again with the full moon, but since then he’s been keeping his distance. And that’s the way I liked it.
I didn’t like that she was out there alone with him right now. It didn’t sit well with me.
I’m the head of her security but if I started following them then I knew she would get really
upset with me.
I ended up mind linking the patrols and told them to keep their eyes on Lucas and Emma.
I went up to my room where I had a shower and got dressed in some track pants and a shirt.
I sat at the desk in my room filling out the journals that I had to fill out every day.
It just documented everything that happened that day.
I had to do it every day. Keep a detailed description of everything that occurred during the day.
The Queen insisted on it. So that’s what I was doing.
I was getting pretty antsy after a while. Emma had been gone for longer than an hour so I tried to mind link with her, but she didn’t answer. So I mind linked the patrols and I asked them
where she was.
All of them said that they hadn’t seen her tonight. None of them saw her walking through town
or in the forest.
I watched them as they walked away. They were headed towards the forest. There’s no way she would have gone too far with him. She knows how dangerous it is to get near the border. Especially with Xavier hanging around at the moment.
When I finally had enough of sitting around and waiting I put my shoes on and grabbed a
jacket.
I left the house and walked down the many stairs to the field, heading straight towards the
forest where I saw them walking towards.
I made sure I could hear everything that was happening in the woods, but it was dead quiet.

I heard the occasional patrol running around near us, but they didn’t come near me and!

with the hair in the bark of the tree.
I knew immediately that Emma was in trouble.
I turned around and almost jumped out of my skin when I saw the Queen and her three mates
standing behind me.
“Where’s my daughter?” The Queen asked.
“I don’t know. She wanted to talk to her other mate and wouldn’t let me come. I asked the patrols to keep an eye on her, but I don’t think they thought it was that serious. I don’t really know. He obviously did something.” I explained.
They examined the scene, seeing the hair and the dart with wolfsbane.
“I can smell Xavier.” Tyler said.
“That son of a b***h has my daughter.” Nova said.
“Lucas is in on it.” I insisted.
Nova looked like she was ready to kill someone, but before anyone had a chance to say or do
anything, Nova shifted into her wolf and so did the triplets.
They started running through the forest and I shifted as well to follow them.
Emma was my responsibility and this happened on my watch.
If anything happens to her then I will never forgive myself.
Koda was at the head of us, we were all following behind when he stopped suddenly.
I saw him sniffing in the air.
Emma’s scent was still really present but there wasn’t any hair or anything.

Koda started digging in the ground and that’s when the smell became a lot stronger

“Is that hers?” I mind linked him
“Yeah. She’s hurt.” Koda replied,
“How did this happen?” Nova asked.
“I told you. Lucas wanted to talk to her in private about their potential mating. I don’t know if she was going to accept him or reject him. She never told me. But she agreed to go for a walk,
I saw them go into the forest. I never would have thought that he’d do something to her
though.” I explained,
“Why not? He’s been messing with her since they met.”
“He was really trying to show her that he wasn’t a bad guy. Not like she thought.” I said
“It’s not Noall’s fault. No one can come between mates and that includes other mates. We all
know this.” Tyler said,
“Come on. Before we lose the trail.” Dean said, starting to run through the forest again. Trying to pick up any scent that we could possibly find on her
We ran for a bit longer through the forest before we stopped because of a piece of tor
clothing on a branch that we passed,
I recognised it immediately from the shirt that Emma was wearing.
“We’re getting way too close to the border.” Dean said.
“Assemble all the warriors. Tell them the princess has been taken.” Nova ordered.
So I had to abandon the search for Emma and run back to the pack and assemble all the
warriors for an emergency situation.
They all gathered in the field next to the castle and I explained it all to them.
I told them that Emma was taken by Lucas who is obviously working with Xavier. We need every possible warrior out there looking for her. The border patrols have to stay the same, but
the rest of them had to go searching.
They could ignore the borders because she’s been taken over the border and we aren’t going to
stop until she’s found.
“Noah Avery yelled out to me through the crowd.
“Not now” I said.

“I want to know how I can help.” Avery said.
“I honestly don’t know. We’re putting together a massive search party. We need to separate them into grid searches so they cover as much ground as possible. You can help me with that.
“I said. So she followed me to a little command post that they had set up and they were
already mapping out the area.
I assigned different people to different grid searches and they were all in groups of about 10
each.
I knew the Queen and the triplets didn’t want me out there looking for her.
They may not be saying it, but I know that they blame me. I should have gone with her. At
least followed at a safe distance back.
She would have known I was there but she would have known that I was doing my job.
I just didn’t want Emma to think of herself as a job to me anymore. Because she isn’t. She’s so
much more than that now.
I was terrified of what Lucas might be doing to her.
Lucas, the one that swore he was turning over a new leaf. The guy that was training to be a
warrior so he would be worthy of the princess.
And the whole thing was just a set up.
How could anyone set up their mate like that? I mean, that seems almost impossible for me
to even conceive. It’s not something that anyone would even think of doing to their mate.
And good luck to Lucas when Nova and the triplets find him. He’s gonna wish he just went
back to his home pack instead of being put through whatever punishment they are cooking up
in their minds right now.
