CHAPTER 041
When I got back to the Alaska pack through teleportation I found myself outside of Lexie’s house. I could still smell Emma’s scent here.
She was only here recently as she left running from this house, crying.
So I walked around the house a couple of times to try and figure out what the hell was going on. But when I couldn’t see anything out of the ordinary, I walked up the front stairs and I opened the front door.
There was no one to be seen until Chloe came out of her bedroom and there was another strange scent in the house.
“Nova.” She said, shocked.
“Where are your parents?” I demanded.
“At work.”
“Get them here, now.”
“Can’t you call them?” She asked.
“They’re not answering my calls. Now call them before I lock you in the f*****g dungeon.” I growled.
She quickly pulled her phone out of her bag and she called both of her parents to come home now. It was an emergency.
So I sat at the kitchen table and waited for them to come back.
I heard a strange noise in Chloe’s room so I grabbed my phone out again and I looked at the camera’s that were placed all over the territory.
I saw Levi running down the road from the house that we were sitting in right now. And now I was starting to understand what was going on. It had to do with Chloe, Emma’s best friend, and Levi. The guy that broke her heart by betting on her to see who could get her into bed the
fastest. Him or his brother.
As soon as Lexie and Jacob got to the house, they rushed in to see Chloe in the living room
and she looked over at me.
They both stopped in their tracks when they saw me and I scowled at them.
“Nova. When did you get back?” Lexie asked.

“I’m not back. But you know that the territory has camera’s up everywhere and I can monitor all activity on my phone. I want to know why the hell my daughter was here earlier today and she left crying.” I said.
“Emma wasn’t here.” Chloe said, looking really confused.
“She walked around the side of the house. I’m guessing she looked in your bedroom window and saw you and Levi in there. Her best friend and the guy that broke her heart.” I said.
“It’s not what you think Nova. Levi just turned 18. They’re mates.” Jacob said. So I started nodding my head, trying to take in that little bit of information.
“Well, that’s really unfortunate. You know that my daughter means more to me than anyone else in the world. Even you two. My best friends.” I said.
“Nova. You know that you can’t stand in the way of mates.”
“No. But I can banish people for being disloyal.”
“We aren’t being disloyal.”
“Really? Did Chloe talk to Emma about who her mate was before they decided that it was alright to just go ahead and be together? Don’t you think Emma at least deserved to hear it
from you before you moved out of the castle and you all started avoiding my family like the f*****g plague?” I yelled.
“Yes. Yes, Nova. You all did deserve that. And we’re sorry that we didn’t handle this properly. We didn’t know what to do. We panicked.”
“Well, I hope you’re panicking now. Because I am beyond pissed.” I growled.
“I think it’s safe to say that we are.” Lexie said.
“What are you going to do?” Jacob asked.
“Honestly, I don’t know yet. But just know that you are all on probation right now. If you so much as put one step out of line then you will all spend the rest of your lives in the dungeon.
Loyalty means everything to me. You both know that. I’ve had too many people stab me in the
back and I am not going to have it from my best friends.” I said.
“We know.” Lexie said.
“Don’t think this is over. You are on probation until further notice.” I said, standing up.
I stopped and glared at Chloe for a moment before I walked out the door.
I made it back to the castle without anyone seeing me and I made it up to the courtyard at the
back of the castle.

I didn’t want anyone to know that I was here and I sent messages to the guys to let them know that I was alright and I would be back soon. But right now, I just needed to make sure that she was alright.
They were scared that if she saw me that she wouldn’t let me go. But I wasn’t going to let her
see me.
This whole royal tradition was bullshit as far as I’m concerned.
It was written in the royal rules that we had to leave and let the teenagers try and figure out how to handle things on their own for a little while. But she’s going through a lot more than
other royals do. At least, I think she is. We’re the first royals that werewolves have had in a
couple hundred years.
I was glad that Noah was here with Emma. He was taking good care of her. But the longer I
stayed at the castle, I could feel her anger growing and growing which meant her power was
as well.
She needed to get a handle on it before it exploded and someone got hurt.
She went running the next morning and she looked angry and Noah looked worried and confused about how he was going to help her. But that’s when Maisie showed up. After I
contacted Scarlett and told her to send someone immediately.
Maisie was going to make sure that Emma would be alright. And they already had instructions from me on what to do about Emma and her powers right now.
So that’s when I teleported back to the packhouse in California.
It looked like the guys had been up all night as well.
They were watching the camera’s and saw that I stayed away from Emma but I did everything I could to make sure that she was taken care of.
As soon as I reappeared in front of them Koda just walked over and hugged me.
He knew that it was killing me being so close to her but not letting her know that I was there.
All because of these stupid royal rules that I am meant to follow and that the guys took more seriously than I did.
But we agreed to do it so we were going to see it through. And now I knew that she was in good hands with Noah and Maisie by her side.
She was going to be alright. I just had to believe in them.
