Chapter 29: Hot Property

We drive to the zoo in a car I haven’t seen Zander use before. I can tell its new and its so out
of character for him because it’s a Land Rover, and he seems to be an Audi guy. “Whose car is
this?” I ask him as I fiddle with the buttons. “Do you like it?” he asks me.
“It’s the latest model Land Rover, of course I like it. Its like Frankie on steroids.” I say and Zander chuckles. “I am glad you like it, because I bought it for you as a New Year’s gift. But with everything that happened, it didn’t seem like the right time to give it to you. You were still in the hospital, and we never celebrated our first New Year together,” Zander says, and I smile.
“Why are you so sweet?” I asked him and he asked. “I love it, and the thought behind it. But I told you not to buy me a car.” I say. “And I told you, we will see about that,” he says, and we
both chuckle. “You do too much for me, Zander. I feel like I don’t deserve you. All I bring are
problems and more problems,” I said.
“Nope, I don’t want to hear it. I know you aren’t used to someone putting you first, but you will have to learn to get used to it. I love you Liz, and I intend on showing you just how much every day,” he says, and I smile. I really must’ve done something right to deserve this good man.
“In that case, thank you for the car, Zander. I love it. So why am I not driving my new car?” I asked. “You are welcome, Liz, but I am kind of rethinking this whole thing. I actually like the car, it’s a smooth drive.” Zander says. “No way, you can’t take a gift back.” I say. “Says the
woman who didn’t want the gift,” he says, and we both chuckle.
“I am just kidding, it’s all yours, and you can drive us home. I do really like it though. At least I know you will be safe while in this car.” He says and I smile. “I can’t wait,” I say, clapping my hands excitedly, and he shakes his head. “So, what will you name this one?” he asks me.
“Hmm, I am not sure yet. I need to drive it first,” I say, and he chuckles. I take my phone and check my messages. I hardly checked my phone, but I realized that I didn’t even know if I got my winnings yet. The first message I see makes me squeal, and Zander immediately stops.

replied to the text Robyn sent me, before I put my phone away.

Chapter 29: Hot Property
We pulled up to the zoo and headed inside. We spent a few hours there, and it was really relaxing and perfect. We walked around, holding hands and taking selfies, like a couple. I had a really great time. I did say I wanted to do couple–ish things, so Zander took it quite literally.
We had lunch at a restaurant with a view of the park. I find myself spending more and more
time in the park, since I started looking for Mary. It bothers me that I can’t find her. She is such a sweetheart, and she deserves to be taken care of. And now I have the means to help her and
thank her for changing my life.
Halfway through lunch, Toby called Zander. It seems Kyle was released, but not Tiffany. She will have to stay in jail until her first court appearance, because she broke the conditions of her bail. So luckily, I won’t run into her at all. Kyle is another matter though.
I wonder who bailed him out. Maybe one of his many mistresses. All I can do is hope he stays
away
from me until his court case starts. We finished lunch and headed to the mall to buy some items for our room. I smile at my own thoughts, and Zander looks at me. “What’s that silly smile for?” he asks me as we walk hand in hand in the mall.
“I just realized we are buying things for our room.” I say, and he smiles and lifts my hand and kisses it. “I like the sound of that too,” he says. We walk into a home boutique and I frown. “We don’t have to shop here you know,” I say. I know this place and everything is overly priced, and
the staff are all snobbish.
“Let’s just look around,” he says, and I nod. We start browsing, and I do actually see some. things I like that will make the room homier. I saw the way the one sales assistant was watching Zander and I mentally chuckled. You can look all you like, but he is going home with
- me.
We left after a while with everything we needed and the larger items will be delivered tomorrow. I love how Zander just ignores all the women that flirt with him. I am sure he can see it, but he chooses not to engage. It feels really good to be secure in a relationship, and not have to worry about being cheated on.
We were nearly at the exit, when I heard a woman call Zander’s name. He rolls his eyes and keeps walking, but I look behind me. A blonde woman with blue eyes in a skin–tight dress and heels comes running behind us. “Just ignore her,” Zander says, but she catches up to us and comes to stand in front of Zander.
“What do you want, Keira? I am busy,” Zander says. She looks me over before she looks back at him. “Who is this? Where is the other crazy b***h?” she asks Zander. “None of your business, now excuse us, we are leaving.” Zander says and starts walking while still holding

“Where have you been? I went to the house, but the guard said you weren’t staying there. We still need to talk about what happened.” She says, stopping us again. “How do you know where I live?” he asks her, frowning. “My mom told me, listen, can we go somewhere and talk.
You know I will forgive you and look past this one and that other slut. We belong together, Zander. You know it in your heart,” she says.
“What is wrong with you? I know you aren’t the brightest spark, but I didn’t realize you were
delusional too. Let me be perfectly clear, I am not interested in you, Keira, and I never will be. I
have nothing to say to you, and don’t go to my house again. You want to talk about what happened, fine.
You forced yourself onto me, after I repeatedly said no. You are lucky I haven’t pressed
charges. Now please, don’t bother me again. I tolerate you because of your mother, but you are
really pissing me off. I don’t want to see you again. If you see me anywhere, walk the other
way,” Zander says, and starts walking again.
She stands there just watching him with an open mouth. I look back and she glares at me. I
just ignored her and turned back around. He only speaks again when we are in the car. “I am
sorry about that. That’s the woman Robyn saved me from. I knew she would come snooping.
again.” Zander says, looking at me.
“Oh, I get it now,” I say and chuckle. Robyn told me about that, but all Zander said was that
she is a gold digger. “Was there ever anything between you?” I asked and he pulled a face.

And besides, I wouldn’t know what is real or fake. Have you seen her? I am sure she has a
plastic surgeon on speed dial.” Zander says, and I nod. Yeah, I noticed that too. She clearly had her lips and cheekbones done. I think her breasts too. It looks way too perfect and huge.
“She is just after my money. Her mother is a client of mine, and that’s how I met her. She has
been after me since then. I really can’t stand her, she is not very bright and can’t take no for an answer.” Zander says and I chuckle. “I don’t blame her, you are hot property. Anyone would
want you.” I said.
“Well, they can try all they want, I just happen to be taken. I am very proudly property of my
Liz. And I am sure she doesn’t like to share.” He says and I giggle. “I will have to find a way to
mark you as taken. I am not in the mood for lines of women coming after me because of my handsome property. Maybe we can tattoo my name on your forehead.” I said, and we both
chuckle.

“I have a better idea,” he says and winks. “I would never mark your pretty face,” I say and he chuckles. “I am not pretty, I am rugged and manly.” He says and I chuckle even more. “Okay my ruggedly handsome, manly man, what is your idea?” I ask. “You’ll see,” is all he says and starts the car.
“You’re really not going to tell me ha?” I ask and he smirks. “Nope, I have to maintain a bit of mystery. I need to keep you on your toes.” He says and I chuckle. “Now you want to be a man. of mystery too. You are full of surprises.” I said, and he winked at me. –
“Maybe I should start to maintain a bit of mystery too,” I said, and he looked over at me. “You wear your emotions on your face, Liz. You can’t hide anything. That’s also how I knew you had the hots for me.” he says, smirking. “You are really cocky today, aren’t you?” I ask. “See, you are always thinking of my cock.” He says and I chuckle and shake my head.
“I was not,” I say, and he chuckles, but doesn’t say anything. The more time I spend with this man, the harder I fall for him. How can he be so perfect? He is handsome, accomplished, funny, super–hot, and very skilled with his tongue. I blush at my thoughts and clench my thighs. I am turning myself on just by remembering last night.
“Hmm, I know what you are thinking about,” he said, looking over at me. “What do you think I am thinking about?” I asked him with one eyebrow raised. He just gives me a wink and looks back at the road, but not before putting one hand on my thigh. We stop at a red light, and he looks at me with a smirk.
