Chapter 18: Best Mediation Ever!
Liz
Zander looks at Giselle and frowns. I don’t think he knew that she came in with us. “Please
give us a moment. I will call you when we are ready,” he said. She gives me a weird look I can’t decipher, before she answers.
“I should be aware of anything you discuss, Zander. I am working on this case too. Saves you from having to explain everything again.” She says and he turns and looks at her. “This is personal and none of your concern. I will call you when I need you.” He says, dismissing her.
She looks at me with a blank expression and leaves.
What the f**k is her problem? “Are you okay?” Zander asks me after he closes the door. “I am
fine, don’t worry about me. I will be even better once that asshole signs the agreement.” I say,
and Zander chuckles and kisses my forehead. “There must be something wrong with him. Why would he bring her along?” Zander says and I shrug.
“Who knows what goes on in his delusional mind? I am beginning to think I should have
myself checked out too. How could I have missed all the signs?” I said. “Because you loved
him, and there is nothing wrong with that. It’s human nature to look for the good in people, Liz.
I feel bad for his attorney though. He traveled two states for a client who is screwing himself
over. I have never met him, but I know Philip Vesper, the main partner at Vesper–Newman, and he is a good attorney.” Zander says. “Do you think he will help him after what just happened?”
lask.
“I doubt it, no attorney likes to lose or to be blindsided,” Zander says and I nod. “I hear you, and
he seems like he is very professional. I like your office,” I say, looking around. “Thank you,” he
I
says and pushes me over to the window. “Nice view,” I say, looking out over the ocean. “That’s why I chose it.” he says and I smile.
He bends down and kisses my lips softly, before he wheels me over to the couch to sit down.
We chat a bit before Toby knocks and Zander yells for him to enter. “They are ready for us. boss,” he says, and Zander nods. Here we go again. Let’s see what that douche has to say. I
just want this to be over.
“Tell Giselle to meet us there,” Zander says, and Toby makes a face but nods. Hmm, maybe he
also doesn’t like her. Zander pushes me out of his office and back into the conference room.
Paul gets up with his briefcase in hand when he sees us enter, and Kyle looks furious.

Chapter 18. Best Mediation Ever!
“Mr. Caine, Mrs. Stanford, I have decided to step down as Mr. Stanford’s council. I apologize
for the inconvenience this may cause both of you. Mr. Stanford does not wish to be advised by
me or anyone else, it seems. I think its best I take my leave.” He says and shakes Zander’s
hand. He bends down to shake mine and looks at me.
“You should’ve asked for a hell of a lot more. There is something very wrong with those two.
Good luck, I hope you get better soon.” He whispers and winks at me before he walks to the door. “Send my regards to Philip.” Zander says, and Paul nods and leaves.
“Have you decided what you want to do, Mr. Stanford? I am a very busy man. I need an answer
from you.” Zander says, looking at Kyle. Toby comes walking in with a huge smile on his face
and winks at me, and I frown. What is he up to? “I told you I wouldn’t sign a God damn thing
you produced. She won’t get anything from me.” Kyle says.
Kyle’s phone rings, and he looks at the caller ID and ignores the call. The phone rings again,
and he frowns and turns the phone over. “This is what I propose. If she knows what’s good for
her, she will sign it,” he says, and throws a contract over to our side of the table.
Zander shows me the contract, and we read through it together. The first part already has me chuckling, but Zander looks pissed. I would much rather laugh at this stupid man, instead of getting upset. We read further and when we are done, Zander throws it back at Kyle.
“My client is not signing this. I am honestly curious, Mr. Stanford. Have you ever been diagnosed with Delusional Disorder?” Zander asks. “Your diagnosis sounds spot on, Zander. Do you expect me to sign this bullshit, Kyle? It’s basically the same as the first piece of s**t agreement you gave me. But now you even expect me to cash out the one investment that is still in my grandparent’s trust, and give it to you.
And then you want me to lie and say that I tried to kill myself and Tiffany was only trying to help me. Was she trying to help me die quicker? No one in their right mind would believe that,
Kyle.” I said. “People will believe what they want, but I don’t give a f**k about what anyone
thinks. You deserve nothing from me and I won’t let Tiffany go to jail because of you.” He answers and I just look at him.
My phone rings before I can answer him, and I look at the caller ID and frown. Zander also looked at me in confusion. Why is Mr. Mansly calling me? Zander nodded for me to answer
the call and I did. I am sure he knows who this is. “Hey Liz, long time no see. He says. “It’s so
good to hear from you. How are you?” I asked, feeling very confused at this call, but not
wanting him to know.
“I am good, Liz, and so is Debbie, but I believe you aren’t. I just heard about your troubles with
Chapter 15 Best Mediation Ever
Kyle, and your accident. I can’t believe he is supporting his mistress who tried to kill you. I
know he is with you now. Your attorney’s PA contacted me. Kyle isn’t answering my calls and I
need to speak to him. Can you please pass the phone to him?” he says.
“Sure, we can catch up some other time. I will come see you at the office, sometime. Send my
love to Debs.” I said. “Will do, she always asks about you. Kyle said you are very busy, but now
I understand.” he answers, and I take the phone away from my ear and look at Kyle. “Call for
you,” I say and put the phone on speaker. “You are on speaker,” I say.
“Kyle Stanford, why aren’t you answering my calls?” Mr. Mansly asks and Kyle’s eyes widen.
He grabs the phone and takes it off the speaker. “I am sorry sir, I am in a meeting,” Kyle
answers. I just roll my eyes and watch the show. “No, that isn’t…” he says, and I can hear Mr. Mansly yelling at him.
Zander looks at me and I chuckle. “No, you can’t do that, she is lying. She is trying to put her
own fam..” Kyle says with wide eyes, but doesn’t get to finish. He is quiet for a while, but he does give me the occasional death glare. “Okay, okay, just please don’t do that. I will be back
at the office soon, and then we can talk.” Kyle says. “Yes, I will do it now.” Kyle says and throws my phone down on the desk.
“You f*****g b***h. How dare you run to my boss?” he asks and I chuckle loudly. “He called
me remember,” I say, and he glares at me. “I will sign your f*****g agreement. I need you out of my life.” Kyle says. “At least we can agree on that. I can’t wait to be rid of you.” I say, and he
narrows his eyes at me.
“Mark my words, you will get what’s coming to you. I will make sure of it.” Kyle says and grabs the agreement we gave him and signs it. “Another threat on record? At least the police know whose door to knock on if something ever happens to me. You really are an i***t, aren’t you?” I
say, showing him the cameras. “Yip, state of the art, and with sound too. Toby says and I fist pump him.
Kyle jumps up and throws the signed papers at me and stomps to the door. “Wait,” Zander says and hands him his copy. “I will file these myself and the court will be in contact with your
to settle all payments. Please don’t ever contact my client again.” Zander says. Kyle glares at
him and shoots me one more look, before he stomps away.
He isn’t even gone yet, and we all burst out laughing, well except Giselle. “That was interesting, and very entertaining” she says and Zander nods and chuckles. “He is a total scumbag,” Toby says as he picks up the scattered pages. “I am just glad he signed. Good Idea calling his boss,” Zander tells Toby.

“You did say he is a family–orientated man, and he likes Liz. I figured he wouldn’t be impressed
by Kyle’s lies.” Toby says, and Zander nods and smiles. Toby puts the agreement in front of me
and Zander hands me a pen. “Ready to sign your way to freedom?” he asks me and I smile broadly. “Hell yeah,” I say and sign my name dramatically and Zander and Toby chuckle.
Toby gathers everything again and walks out of the boardroom. “Shall we go celebrate?” Zander asks me. “Yes please,” I say and he smiles. “Where are we going? I am actually
starving after that show.” Giselle asks and Zander looks at her. “We are going to lunch; you
can go back to work,” he says.
“But I always go with you when we celebrate with a client.” She says, pouting. What the actual f**k woman? “Yes, but Liz is so much more than just my client.” Is all he says as he pushes me out. “Call me if you need me, we are going to celebrate.” He tells Toby as we pass his
desk.
“Enjoy guys,” Toby says, and I smile and wave goodbye. When we reached the elevator, I looked back and saw Giselle glaring at me. “What is her problem?” I said out loud, not even meaning to. Zander looks at her too and is just in time to see the look on her face before she
walks off.
“I don’t know, she has never been rude to any of our clients before.” Zander says as we enter the lift. “I think she likes you, I say and he chuckles. “I don’t think so, and besides, she isn’t my type.” he says. “What is your type?” I ask when he pushes me out of the elevator into the parking lot.
“Beautiful red heads, with blue eyes and a spunky personality, named Liz.” He says and I giggle. “Good answer,” I say, and he also chuckles.

Chapter 19: A Match Like No Other
Kyle’s POV
I don’t think I have ever felt this humiliated in my life. I will make that b***h suffer for what she did. It’s like she is this whole other person. When did she turn into such a b***h? Tiffany was right about Liz. She sure fooled me into thinking she was good and pure.
I swear the next time I see that attorney I am going to beat him to a pulp. He is a disrespectful asshole. How dare he throw Tiffany out like that? You shouldn’t treat a lady like that. They will both get what’s coming to them and I can’t wait to see it.
I exited the building and walked to my car. Tiffany is standing outside and she is still fuming.” What took you so long? Where is Paul?” Tiffany asks when I unlock the car. “Just get in, we can talk while I drive.” I say, and she stomps her foot but gets in.
“What happened after I left?” she asks me when we are on the road. I told her what happened with the attorney. I also told her about the call I got from my boss. “That b***h, I can’t believe she ran to your boss behind your back. And what the f**k does it have to do with him anyway? Your business is your own.” She says and I just look at her.
“I told you, I only got the promotion because I was married. My boss is a family man, and her only respects and trusts people with the same values. He is very old school.” I say and she rolls her eyes. “Old people are all the same. They need to move with the times. Did the b***h
sign the new agreement you gave her?” she asks. “No, I had to sign hers,” I say.
“What!” she yells and I sigh. I pulled the car over because I was not in the mood to crash my car. “How the f**k can you give her anything? You know what she did to me, Kyle. She doesn’t deserve a cent of your money!” she says. “Well, if you didn’t try to kill her, I wouldn’t have to sign that f*****g agreement!” I yell back.
“You f*****g asked me to, you prick!” she yells. “It’s the least you could do. All you do is make matters worse. And you couldn’t even do that one thing right. They have too much evidence, and even Paul told me to just sign before they ask for more.
I am about to lose my job because of this too. Now I have to go sweet talk the old man, because he is dead set on firing me. He spewed some bullshit about lying to him about. everything, and now he can’t trust my word anymore. I can’t lose my job, Tiff,” I said. “You can get another job, Kyle. What’s so special about this one?” she asks.
“Its stable okay and the money is good,” I said. I can’t tell her the truth. No one knows what I

Chapter 19: A Match Like No 01…
am doing, and I need to keep it that way. She is so hot headed, she may just spill the truth in anger. I was not built for prison. I won’t survive it. If I lose that job, I will lose too much money. And now that Liz is taking half, I can’t afford to lose my job.
“I am doing all this for you. When you told me the truth about Liz, I promised you I would make things right. But you need to learn to keep your mouth shut and stop being so hot–headed. I can’t get you justice if you keep letting her win.” I say, and she scowls at me.
“I know, but everything is going wrong. How is she winning? What do you know about her lawyer? Why is he helping her? Are they f*****g?” Tiffany asks and I roll my eyes. “Liz would never have cheated on me. She is too much of a goody two shoes. He does look familiar though. I feel like I know him from somewhere.” I said.
“We need to get rid of her soon, Kyle. Before the courts finalize everything. If she is dead, everything in the trust will go to me, and you will get your money back.” She says and I nod. “I think that is our best option. But what are we going to do? I don’t know where she is staying.” I
said.
Then I remember that bitchy friend of hers. “She could be staying at her friend, Robyn’s flat. I know she is out of town. I will check there first. It will be so much easier if she is alone” I said. “You could do that, or you can let her come to you. Then we set up a trap for her and kill her.” Tiffany says and laughs manically.
“We need her to sign everything over first. Don’t forget that. I am sure that fucker will file the agreement as soon as he can. The courts won’t see me as her spouse and give me everything if the divorce is already on their roll.” I say and she rolls her eyes.
I don’t really want to kill Liz. I just want her to feel some of what she put Tiffany and her mother through. I can’t believe I married a woman that is so vindictive as she is. Using her
dead parents like that is despicable.
Tiffany’s POV
Kyle starts the car and drives. I put my hand on his leg and started to stoke his c**k. This man is so easy to manipulate, it’s actually laughable. I have him right where I want him. “Find

somewhere to park baby, I need you now. You know it turns me on when we argue,” I say, and
he smirks.
He turns off the highway onto a dirt road. We drive a bit and I don’t see anyone around. Not that it would matter to me anyway. This man will be done in less than 5 minutes. Liz was right. about one thing: I am tired of faking orgasms. But it’s necessary for my end game.
He parks the car and I straddle him. Just like I said, less than 5 minutes and this i***t was

done. “That was so hot baby. I think we both needed that. Having those men in the house, is pissing me off. What are we going to do now? I am sure she will have us thrown out.” I said. “I can book us into a hotel for now. We can go look for a place together.” He says and I smile
and kiss him.
“Let’s go,” I said, and moved over to my seat. He fixes his pants and starts the car. The rest of the drive will be better. He is more docile now. I know just how to get him. I can’t have him
backing out and changing his mind. I need him to help me with my plan.
I have to get my mom back on my side again. I need her help to make all this work in my favor. I thought Liz would be an easy push over, but she keeps throwing my plans into disarray. I will get my inheritance back from her. That money was supposed to be mine.
Mom made sure I was the only child that was part of the trust. Then that b***h’s parents died and she went to live with my grandparents. Then it was always, ‘Elizabeth this and Elizabeth that‘, and ‘Why can’t you be more like Liz‘. It pissed me off. Then they died and left everything
to her. How could they do that to me?
No matter, I will get back what she stole from me with her goody two shoes act. I need to find out why that attorney is helping her. He is so hot, I am sure I can get him when I dispose of Kyle. He looks like he is rolling in the cash and that is even better for me.
No one can resist me. I am hotter and more skilled than Liz, the nun. I know how to bend a man to my will. That’s why mom was so pissed at me. She taught me too well. “Babe, can I borrow your car for a bit while you go to the office?” I asked. “Sure, why?” he asked.
“I want to go see my mom. She can help with our Liz problem.” I say and he nods. “Okay baby, whatever you want. Just don’t crash my car.” He says and rests his hand on my thigh. Urgh,
whatever. He can feel me up all he wants as long as I get my vengeance.
“That reminds me. When are you getting me a new car?” I asked. “Soon babe, I can’t really buy. anything now that I signed. But I have some cash coming in next week. Maybe we can go. then.” He says and I smile. “You are such a stud, do you know that? I am so glad I met you.” I
said, and he smiled brightly.
I took out my phone and saw what I could find out online about this attorney: I took his business card out of my purse and typed his name into my search engine. Wow, this guy is more than loaded. The more I scroll, the wider my smile gets. He is the perfect mark. I will
have him, but not yet. I still need Kyle.
“I think I know where you know Zander Caine from. I just looked him up now, and he went to the same college as you did.” I said. “That is probably why he looked so familiar. He was

clearly not one of the popular guys and didn’t make an impression,” Kyle says. I mentally rolled my eyes. I am sure you weren’t popular either.
“That could be why he is helping Liz. Maybe they knew each other from college. I will do some more digging, but it says here that he is loaded. His parents left their whole empire to him. He doesn’t even need to work.” I say and Kyle scoffs. “So he was born with a silver spoon. He probably doesn’t know what it means to work for something you want. No wonder he is so
smug, Kyle says.
“Maybe when we are done with Liz, we can help him get rid of some of his millions.” I say, chuckling. “I want nothing to do with that man, and neither should you.” He says. “Okay babe, whatever you say. You are the boss,” I say and wink at him and he smirks. f*****g i
