Zander
“Good, you have been given more than enough time to go over the amended agreement. We look forward to wrapping this up as soon as possible. My client wants to move on from this. unfortunate situation,” I said.
“Liz is not getting a cent of my money after what she did to her own cousin. Because of her
accusations. Tiffany could go to jail. I have had a new contract drawn up, and I will send it to
you. I will not be signing any contracts you or your client propose. I will take this matter to court if I have to, and I will be successful, Kyle says, and that just pisses me off. Is this mant
delusional?
“Need I remind you that my client is the one that was in a coma for three days, thanks to your mistress, who is her supposed cousin. Ms. James deserves to go to jail for attempted murder and nothing less. Are you really siding with the woman that tried to kill your wife?” I asked
him.
“Ex–wife, and yes, I am. Liz brought this on herself. If she had just signed the first agreement.
none of this would’ve happened. If Tiffany had hit her hard enough, I wouldn’t have to deal with
any of her crap or you. She can thank her lucky stars that she is still alive. She will sign those papers I sent and I will take the house. She will also drop the charges against Tiffany if she knows what is good for her,” he says.
I think I am in shock. Did I just hear him right? I think there is something wrong with this man. “Is that a threat, Mr. Stanford? I am sure I just heard you threaten my client’s life, after your mistress had already tried to kill her. Are you also admitting that you had a hand in the accident?” I asked, hoping he would fall into my trap.
“So, what if I did? I may have suggested that it would be easier if she was dead. You can’t
prove a thing, so stop your bullshit and get your client to sign the new agreement,” he says. ” You may want to reconsider your stance on these proceedings. I don’t take kindly to threats.
against me or my clients.
I see you didn’t do your research on me, did you? No matter, if you aren’t at my office on Friday at 10am, we will see you in court. The truth of your infidelity and your part in Liz’s accident will
be proven in court. I play to win Mr. Stanford, and I don’t have time for losers.
Oh, and for the record, my client hasn’t pressed any charges against your mistress, she was in a coma. The state did, and they will not drop any charges because they have a strong case.

They collected enough evidence from the crime scene. Your mistress wasn’t even smart
enough to pick up her license plate before she fled the scene.
SPP VOLL A
I honestly don’t have the time or patients to listen to you spew more of your nonsense. I can
just as delusional as your mistress is, and won’t listen to reason. So, thist conversation is over. I will see you at 10am, Friday. Don’t be late” I said and hung up. ******g asshole.

That whole conversation just pissed me off. How can Liz be blamed for any of this? Someone. tried to kill her, but according to Kyle, it’s her own fault because she didn’t sign everything she has over to him. Its amazing how some people can justify the wrong they do.
I turned and saw Liz was still asleep, and my call didn’t bother her. So, I quickly called Robyn to give her an update. She was ecstatic to hear Liz was awake, and she is on her way back. here. They wouldn’t give her time off to come see Liz, so she resigned. She doesn’t have to worry though. I will make sure she finds something better.
After I told Toby and Rosa that Liz was awake, I went to the cafeteria for something to eat. Unfortunately, I ran into that annoying, pushy nurse. So instead of eating there, I just took my food and went back to Liz’s room. She was still asleep, so I just sat and ate at the table before.
I went to sleep.

I will sleep better now that she is awake and okay. I gave her one last kiss before I got comfortable in the chair, and closed my eyes to get some sleep too.

I opened my eyes and saw it’s already morning. I had such a good night’s sleep and my head. feels a lot clearer. I looked over and saw Zander was fast asleep in the chair next to my bed. I
wish I could get up and go to him, but I know I can’t move.
I will not do anything to risk my recovery. I need to get out of here so I can’t get Kyle out of my life. I can’t believe that b***h tried to kill me. I have always been good to her, even though she
always a b***h towards me. I know it stemmed from the fact that I lived with my grandparents after my parents died.

I was supposed to go stay with her when they passed away when I was 15 years old. But my great aunt took me in and kept me safe from Elaine.

afloat. He struggled to find work, so we used my money for everything, even the wedding.
I bought him his first car and paid off all his outstanding student loans. He forgot all about that the minute he started eaming money. His whole demeanor started to change. I always brushed it off because he still treated me well. Looking back now, I should’ve seen the signs.
Things started changing this past year, when he became an executive at the firm he works for. I wonder if his boss knows about the divorce? He really likes me, and he is very
family–orientated. All the top executives have to be married. He values and trusts people that
have strong family ties.
I actually don’t care what happens to him, as long as he signs the divorce papers and sets me
free. I want him and Tiffany out of my life for good. I can’t wait to start my life with Zander. He
is just so perfect, and I know we can be happy together.
Zander starts to stir and opens his eyes. “Morning handsome,” I say, and he smiles and looks
at me. “Morning my Liz,” he says. “Am I your Liz now?” I ask and he chuckles and sits up. “You
were always mine Liz, you just only realized it now.” he says. “You really are a smooth talker.
Maybe I should be careful of men with silver tongues,” I said.
“You should stay clear of all men in general, except me, of course,” he says, and I chuckle, but
stop. I forgot how painful that is. I have a horrible pain in my side, but the doctor says it’s just
a bruise and I didn’t break any ribs. My head also hurts when I laugh.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to make you laugh. Are you okay?” Zander asks as he comes to check on me. “I am okay, don’t worry. Did you have a good sleep? That chair doesn’t look that comfortable.” I ask. “It’s okay, I have been sleeping here most nights, and it’s fine,” he says.
“Did you really stay here the whole time?” I asked. “Of course, I only went home the first night
after doc forced me to. I couldn’t sleep, so I spent the rest of my time watching over you.” He says. I didn’t realize that he had been here the whole time. “Can you be any more perfect?” |
asked and he chuckled.
“I am far from perfect, Liz.” He says. “I disagree, you are the best man I have ever met, and
am so lucky to have you in my life.” I said. He bends down and kisses me, but I stop him. “l
need to brush my teeth,” I say, but he kisses me anyway. I hear someone come into the room,
so we broke the kiss.
“Morning love birds. I see I have bad timing again.” The nurse says chuckling. “You do, so I will
pretend you aren’t here.” Zander says and kisses me again. “Zander,” I say and he chuckles. “I
came to help you clean up a bit.” the nurse says smiling. I look at her badge and see her name
is Ronnie.

“Thank you nurse Ronnie, I would appreciate that. I feel yucky,” I say, and she chuckles and
starts getting everything ready to give me a sponge bath. “Doc said you can use the staff.
showers on this floor.” Nurse Ronnie tells Zander and he nods. “Thanks, I will grab a quick
shower and give you some time to get cleaned up.” Zander says and kisses my forehead,
before he takes his bag and leaves.
“You are a very lucky girl, Liz,” Ronnie said and I smiled. “I am a very lucky girl indeed,” I said.
I She proceeds to tell me how worried Zander was and how he drove Dr. Willis nuts. I couldn’t stop smiling. He really cares about me. Is this what true love is supposed to feel like?

She then I can brush my teeth, before she bathes me. She even brushed and
braided my hair. “Thank you so much nurse Ronnie. I feel so much better.” I said when she
was done. “You are welcome, Liz. Your breakfast will be here soon, and doc will come check
on you later.” She says before she leaves.
When Zander came back, he was freshly showered and was wearing jeans and a t–shirt. He
fed me my breakfast and spent the whole day with me. He did get a few calls from work, so he had to log into his laptop a few times. But I didn’t mind one bit, he has done more than enough
for me.
On Thursday morning, Dr. Willis was very happy with my scan, so he discharged me. I am now
back at home and Zander and Rosa are fussing over me. It feels good to have people care about me, but I am so used to doing everything myself. I will just have to get used to the help.
because I am still a little weak and in pain.
Zander told me what Kyle said, and I was honestly so disgusted. Maybe he has dissociative identity disorder. How could he go from loving husband to delusional narcissist in the space
of a year? Either that, or I am the delusional one to not see past his act.
It doesn’t even matter anymore, I have wasted enough time and energy on that man.
Tomorrow, I meet with him, and hopefully I will leave Zander’s office a free woman.
