CHAPTER 6
I avoided Beau for the rest of the day. Even in training after lunch that was mandatory. And instead I teamed up with a girl that I didn’t even know. I hadn’t met her or seen her all day.
“Well, if we’re going to be beating the crap out of each other today I should probably introduce
myself. I’m Spencer.” She says.
“Ivy.” I say.
“Yeah. You’ve already gotten around. That s**t at lunch time. Emma’s an entitled b***h. She
deserved what you gave her. Most people aren’t game enough to fight back.” She says. Well, I’ve had to fight back a lot in my life otherwise people would have been walking over me wherever I went in my old pack.
“She pissed me off.” I say.
“Yeah. She does that very easily.” Spencer says. And then the instructor got started and demonstrated a few different moves and we got straight into training. But I could feel Beau watching me almost the whole time even though I ignored him and had nothing to say to him.
He tried to catch up with me after school but I ignored him and got in my car and left the
school.
I headed straight home and locked the door and I went upstairs to my bedroom and I put my bag on the floor next to my desk and I was looking out the window at the woods outside my window. The whole town was surrounded by woods. A run in the woods was always a good way to release stress for werewolves, but I couldn’t do that yet because none of the warriors knew who I was and if they saw me in wolf form then they would definitely think of me as a threat. They would attack me straight away and probably kill me. So I couldn’t even shift when I wanted to. Not yet anyway. Not until we officially met the whole pack. But I didn’t know when the hell that was going to happen.
Mom never mentioned anything about that to me and the Alpha has only been interested in talking to mom. He never wanted to meet me. So I guess I’m not worth meeting after all.
My phone started ringing and it said Beau on the screen so I ignored it. And I pulled my books out and started doing my homework. The homework that we did receive from a couple of different classes.
But it was still early when I finished so I got changed and I went for a jog. I knew that the sun would be setting while I was jogging so I was hoping that no one would see me. And I was lucky enough that no one did. No one important enough anyway.

CHAPTER G
When I got back to the house I had a shower and I got dressed into my pajamas and I went to the kitchen to make dinner.
I was surprised that mom actually came home early tonight and we sat down to eat dinner
together. And that was the last thing I wanted right now.
“So honey, how was your first day of school?” She asked, smiling at me. And I plastered on a
fake smile.
“It was good. Boring. You know high school. The same old crap.” I say.
“Yeah. So, why is your lip a little swollen?” She asked.
“The damn locker that they gave me. It jams and they didn’t tell me that before I tried to open it for the first time.” I said and she chuckled. I had gotten good at lying to my mother about my injuries. She didn’t know that I was getting bullied at my last school for a couple of years. She
only found out because she came to school one day unexpectedly and she saw it for herself.
“Well, at least you’ll know tomorrow.” She says.
“Yeah. I will definitely be looking out for it tomorrow. How was your day?” I asked.
“I had to re–break a warrior’s arm because it healed in the wrong place after he broke it once.
It’s been causing him pain ever since.” She says.
“Ouch. That doesn’t sound pleasant.” I say.
“No. It definitely wasn’t. So, do you want to have a movie night tonight? At least one movie?”
She asked.
“I would love to. But I have heaps of homework.” I say.
“Of course you do. I’m just glad to be home by dinner for once.” She says.
“Yeah. You might be able to get a good night’s sleep.” I say.
“I hope so.” She says.
After dinner I cleaned the dishes and I said goodnight to mom and I headed upstairs to my
room. But since my homework was already done, I layed on my bed reading.
My phone started ringing again and it said Beau on the screen so I ignored it and then turned
my phone on silent. I didn’t want to hear from anyone.
