CHAPTER 52
IVY POV
Arriving back on our territory I felt a huge weight being lifted off of my shoulders. I was finally
home and it felt like I had been gone for so much longer than just two weeks. But I was finally
home.
Walking through the woods as my wolf with Asher right by my side, I decided to take it slow
heading towards the packhouse and let it all sink in before I was bombarded with everyone
waiting for me.
Asher rubbed his nuzzle against my neck, getting my attention.
‘You know, we don’t have to go right to the packhouse.‘ Asher says through the link.
‘What do you mean?‘ I asked.
‘We can send the warriors ahead and see how much of this forest we can destroy before
getting back?‘ He asked.
‘Typical man. Always thinking with your dick.’ I say.
‘Of course.‘ He admitted.
‘We have the rest of our lives. I want to get back before Freya arrives. Otherwise she’ll be terrified.’ I say.
‘Alright. But don’t plan on getting much sleep tonight.‘ He chuckles.
‘Hey. I was going to say that to you.‘ I say. And he started chuckling.
When we finally got back to the packhouse I went inside and grabbed some clothes before I came out the front and Spencer was the first one that I saw.
She ran over and hugged me and started crying and wouldn’t let me go.
“I really didn’t think I would ever see you again.” She sobbed out.
“You know me. It takes more than that son of a b***h to kill me.” I say.
“I know. But you were gone for so long.” She says.
“If I was dead then you would have known. Asher would have known.” I say.
“I know. The pack tether. He would have felt it break.” She says.
“Yeah. There’s that. And also there’s just the way Asher would have known that I was gone.” I

say.
“Yeah. He definitely would have.” She says.
“Alright. It’s my turn.” A woman behind me said. So I turned around and Elsie was standing
there.
She hugged me really tight as well and pulled back to look at my face.
“Alright. Well, we’ve been busy all afternoon since Asher called and said that you were bringing your little sister home with you.” She says.
“Yeah. Freya.” I say.
“Well, we’ve got a room set up across the hall from you that is just for her and we’ve been shopping and bought her a whole new wardrobe and decorated her room today.” Elsie says.
“You did all of that in an afternoon?” I asked.
“Absolutely.” She says. I then saw the car pull up and I went over to it and I opened the door and Freya got out but there were so many people looking at her.
Everyone that was gathered around was looking at her. Almost my whole pack and she held my hand so tight, because they also knew that she was Jackson’s daughter and was raised by
Jackson.
my little “Alright. This is Freya. She’s no longer to be thought of as Jackson’s daughter. She’s sister. And she will be treated that way. Do you understand?” I asked everyone in a pretty firm voice that no one in the pack had heard me use before.
“Yes Luna.” They said in unison.
“Good.” I said. And Asher walked over to us. He kneeled down in front of Freya and she he was doing everything he could to make her feel comfortable around him.
“So, I just heard that you’ve already got a room set up in the packhouse. Do you want to see it?” Asher asked. She squeezed my head but shook her head yes.
So we took her inside and up to the third floor and opened the bedroom door for her. It was painted a light purple color with white trims, some decorations around the room and a large four poster bed with a purple canopy over the top of it.
She had a desk with brand new stationary and a laptop, a wardrobe full of brand new clothes
and her own bathroom.
“Oh my god. This place is amazing.” I say. “Do you like it?” I asked.
“Yeah. It’s really nice. How did they know that I liked unicorns?” She asked, looking at the

stencils on the wall.
“Well, I might have seen your bedroom back at the mansion and called them and told them.”
Asher admits. And I turn to smile at him. I didn’t even know that he did that.
“Are you alright?” I asked Freya as she was looking around.
“Yeah. I’m okay.” She says. But I sat on the end of her bed.
“It’s alright if everything is not alright. A lot has changed for you today. You’ve made a lot of
changes and I know that your father was not liked throughout the world and you are going to
be hearing that a lot in the coming weeks and months, but I know that he was still your
father.” I say.
“He was your dad too.” She says.
“But he didn’t raise me like he did you. So I don’t know how you are feeling right now.” I say.
“I miss them. But I didn’t think that Levi would attack you the way that he did. I knew that one
of you were going to die. I just hate myself because I was hoping that it would be him. I didn’t
want you to die…That makes me a horrible sister. We grew up together and I wanted you to
live more than him.” She said as she started crying.
So I knelt down in front of her and I hugged her really tight.
“It’s alright Freya. I know that can’t be easy for you. And I am really sorry that it had to come to
that. I didn’t want to hurt Levi. I really didn’t.” I say.
“I know. You tried to talk him down but he wouldn’t. He knew what you were going to do to
dad. He was always too busy trying to impress dad.” She sobbed on my shoulder.
“Freya. It’s alright. Boys do that all the time. They need their father’s approval. Anything that
your brother did, he only did because he thought it would make your father love him more. That’s all there is to it. I promise.” I say.
“Okay.” She said pulling back from me and I wiped her tears away.
Elsie then came to the door but saw what was happening so Asher took her into the hallway
to talk to her.
He came back a moment later and said that dinner was ready.
“It’s not a massive dinner or anything is it? I don’t think either of us can handle that right now.”
I say.
“No. It’s just the family. Come on, we should get changed and cleaned up a little.” Asher says.
“I’ll be there in a minute.” I say. So Asher went to our room across the hall and I stood up and

took Freya into her wardrobe.
“It’s just a family dinner so you don’t need to get dressed up for it. But we all look a mess, so we should change our clothes.” I say digging through the clothes that the pack members had
bought Freya today.
She finally chose a nice t–shirt and some shorts and shoes. And I say that they are the perfect choice. She’s got good style. They will work perfectly together.
“Alright. You get dressed and I will just be across the hall in that room right there okay. I need
to get changed too.” I say.
“Alright. Does this door lock?” She asked.
“Absolutely. You can lock it after I leave so no one barges in on you getting dressed. Alright.” I
say.
“Thank you.” She says.
“You don’t need to thank me for anything. We’re family. This is what family is meant to do for
each other.” I say.
“That’s not what dad would say.” She says.
“I think we both know that dad had a pretty warped way of looking at things.” I say. And she
shook her head.
I walked across the hall to my room and Asher was just finished getting dressed so I walked into the wardrobe and I started looking through my clothes.
“I can’t wait for dinner to be over. I want to soak in that bath tub for the rest of the night.” I say.
“That can definitely be arranged.” Asher says walking up behind me so close that I could feel
his breath on my neck.
“We can’t keep everyone downstairs waiting.” I say.
“I know. But I can’t help wanting you all to myself.” He says.
“And you can definitely have me all to yourself tonight.” I say.
“I know.” He lifted my shirt over my head while he was standing behind me and he helped me pick out some clothes to wear to dinner.
It was just casual so I got dressed into a black tank top, shorts and slip on shoes. Which Asher had to help dress me into.
When we walked into the hallway I knocked on Freya’s door and she slowly opened it to see

me there before she opened it all the way and I saw that she was already dressed.
“Wow. You look great. Come on. Let’s go get something to eat.” I say. And she took my hand
while Asher took my other hand.
I knew that he wasn’t going to like sharing me, but he was going to have to get used to it while
Freya was settling in here. She was scared and nervous. She was away from home and the
only family that she knew. This was all completely new to her. And I knew that it would take a
while for her to settle in.
When we got to the dining room everyone was already seated but the head of the table was
left for Asher and a seat next to him was left for me and the one right beside me was for
Freya. I’m guessing Asher asked them to do that. Because that wasn’t the natural order of
things around here.
“Freya. This is Asher’a parents, Elsie and Henry. And these are his brothers Cole and Beau and
Cole’s mate Spencer. And this is our brother Carter. I don’t know if you remember him.” I
introduced her. But she shook her head. And I was surprised that Carter was at the table with
us as well.
“Freya. It is very nice to have you in our home now.” Elsie says. And Freya got a little shy.
“It’s alright sweetie. I was a little scared when I came to live here as well. It’s pretty scary.
We all sat down and the servers started bringing out our meals and placing them in front of
us and Freya looked at the food for a moment before she started digging in. And I could tell
that she really loved it.
“We didn’t have a cook at the mansion. We had to cook for ourselves because dad was always
too busy.” Freya says.
“What about Adam? He always bought me my meals.” I say.
“He was only assigned to bring you food. He needed to make sure that you were at your best
so that you could heal me.” Freya says.
“Heal her? What is she talking about?” Asher asked. And everyone looked at me in curiosity. I
was hoping to avoid this but I could feel all of their eyes burning into me.
