CHAPTER 50
IVY POV
The battle was over. The dead needed to be claimed as ours or there’s. And it was announced that I killed the Alpha. Which meant that I was the new leader of Jackson’s pack. I felt the power of an Alpha surge through me as I gained control of his pack. Because I was unmarked, I was the Alpha, but once Asher marked me, he would be the Alpha and I would be the Luna.
But Asher’s pack had destroyed a quarter of the country. Killed thousands of innocent people. And it was broadcast on live TV. But so was this battle. Asher had someone hack into Jackson’s security system around the mansion and everything was caught on camera. Including me killing Jackson, and the fighting stopped with his pack bowing to me.
Carter was also there collecting his members that died during battle. And this was the first
time I got the proper amount of numbers. Carter came into this battle with 4600 warriors,
Asher had 7500 and Jackson had gained and forced 12 000 warriors. It was a battlefield for
sure. Carter was leaving with 5200, Asher was leaving with 7200 and they had killed 4000 of
Jackson’s warriors. And he had all of them at the mansion, not scattered around the country
like he had previously. He knew that there was going to be an attack now that I was at the
mansion. So he called everyone back. Not that it did him any good.
As we were handling the clean up we heard these weird noises above us and looked up to see
several drones hovering above us. And I stood there staring straight up at them.
“Humans.” Asher says. Luckily they had all found clothes to wear by this point.
“Yeah. They are checking out the battle status for themselves.” I say.
“Maybe you should put a call through to someone and let them know that Jackson is dead. The country doesn’t need to fear anymore.” Asher suggests.
“I don’t have to. You just did. Those things have microphones on them.” I say pointing to them
and he saw them off to the sides of the drones.
“Ivy.” Cole sang out and I turned around and he practically tackled me when he hugged me.
“I’ve missed you too brother.” I say. “I really wish it didn’t have to come to this though.” I say.
“I know. No one does.” He says. And I looked behind him and I saw Beau standing there but he was standing back away from us. I looked at Asher briefly before I walked over to Beau and I hugged him without saying anything.
“I’m glad you came. And that you didn’t die.” I say.

“Me too. I’m glad that you didn’t die.” He says.
“You came at the right time. I think I was about to.” I say.
“Look, I don’t know how much you know…” He started to say.
“I know it all. Asher kicked you out of the packhouse.” I say.
“I’m not going to be living there anymore. But you are still my family. You’re my sister.” He says. And I felt someone hold my hand and I looked down to see Freya.
“Speaking of sisters. This is Freya. She’s my little half sister.” I say. And Asher walked over.
“She doesn’t have anywhere to go, does she?” Asher asked.
“I just killed her brother and her father. So no, she doesn’t. She’s coming home with us.” I say.
“Absolutely. I’ve always wanted a sister. It’s really nice to meet you, Freya.” Asher says
kneeling down to her.
“Hey, what about Spencer?” Cole snapped. And I started laughing.
“Don’t look at me. I’m not getting you out of this one.” I laughed out loud.
“Gee thanks.” He says standing up.
“Ivy. What are we going to do with Jackson’s pack? Their responsible for killing thousands of
people.” Axel, our head warrior asked.
“Well, I’m not staying here. We will have to find some way to transport them back to our pack.
And find somewhere to keep them until we figure that out. Not all of them are Jackson’s pack.
Some of them were forced.” I say..
“What do you mean?” Axel asked.
“When Jackson would tear through a pack. He would keep the men and force them to fight or kill them. He killed a lot of their families and they didn’t have a choice. A lot of their families have taken refuge at our pack already. There’s a cook inside, Adam. I know his mate and his kids. He thought they were dead. He wants to get back to them.” I say.
“Alright. We’re gonna need a lot of buses and chains to get them back to our pack.” Axel says.
Right now Jackson’s warriors were sitting in the field next to the mansion under Alpha command. I made them stay there so that they couldn’t leave and they couldn’t fight anyone else. They need to do exactly what I say. When under Alpha command, they can’t break it. They can’t disobey. It’s built into their DNA. Just like our mate bonds. They can’t ignore it.
It was almost three hours later when several buses started arriving and I looked at Asher but

he shrugged his shoulders. He didn’t order them but I saw a black SUV pull up next to them.
A very well dressed woman got out of the SUV and walked straight over to me.
“Ivy Inglewood.” She says.
“That’s right.” I say.
“I’m Melissa Eddington. The Kansas state Governor. You and your people have stopped Ethan Jackson’s reign of terror.” She says.
“Well, someone had to.” I say.
“Right. Of course. Can I ask what those men over there are doing?” She asked, looking at
Jackson’s warriors.
“They’re sitting.” I say stating the obvious and Asher snorted trying not to laugh.
“I know. But why? Why aren’t they moving?” She asked.
“Because they were Jackson’s men. I killed Jackson and when I killed him his power shifted to me and I became their new Alpha. To stop his men from disappearing, I commanded them to
stay there while we sorted all of this crap out. And then I will deal with them appropriately.” I
explained.
“You can command them and they just do it?” She asked.
“When I use my Alpha command then they have no choice. They can’t fight against it. A lot of
those men were fighting for him under Alpha command. They will be punished but not put to
death. They were forced to do it. Literally, under Alpha command. But Jackson killed everyone
in their packs and took them with him. I have to sort through and find which ones were willing
and which ones weren’t. The willing ones will be put to death. Those are our laws. They have
worked for us for centuries without human’s knowing about it. And that is the way we will
contínue to run our people. The human government has no jurisdiction over the werewolf
community.” I explained getting a little defensive while I was doing so.
