ASHER POV
The following morning we waited until everyone was in position and I went to the far east side of the forest and I lit a huge fire in the woods. I then went back to my group and we waited for the fire to get out of control.
When we heard the sirens going off and warriors running to the fire to try and put it out, another one started on the west side of the property. And other warriors were running to try and put that fire out as well.
That was our cue to charge through the middle of those two fires. And we ran directly through the woods between the fires until we got to their border and it was completely clear. We ran straight through the woods until we got to the clearing and the house that Ivy was in I could clearly see in the distance.
But they were now alerted to the fact that we were there and wolves were running out from all directions charging at us. He had thousands of wolves on this property. And it looked like they had abandoned the fires and had come to protect the house.
But with my pack and Carter’s pack, we were pretty evenly matched. With the sound of tearing
flesh and snarls everywhere I noticed the door to the mansion slam open and there he was.
The man himself. The one I was looking for. Ethan Jackson.
I let out a ferocious growl and I charged at the man while he shifted and he started running from the mansion in my direction as well. I was cut off by a wolf who jumped on me from the
side when he saw me going for Jackson. But I threw my head around to the side and grabbed
his head and bit down as hard as I could and threw him off of me. I didn’t even stop to look
whether or not he was alive after that. My focus was Jackson.
He was getting held up by fighting in front of him and he was dodging all that c*****e as well.
We both wanted each other. And neither of us were going to stop until we got to each other.
I was then stopped by three wolves in front of me. They started circling me, but I could tell
that they had no high rank at all in the pack. They were only half my size. They had guts for
stepping in front of me. I had to give them that.
They all lunged at me at the same time. Two landed on my sides and the one right in front of me was dead before he could even touch me. I swung to the left and the wolf was hanging on
for dear life. I could tell that it was female and the fear was radiating off of her. But I didn’t
care. I grabbed the back of her leg that was dangling and ripped her from me. She left some

deep gashes, but nothing I couldn’t handle. And I felt the other wolf being ripped off of my
right side. So I stood over the women snarling and snapping my teeth. Before I put my paw to
her throat and dug my claws in so deep and dragged them all the way down her chest and
stomach.
I turned to see who had pulled the other wolf off of me and Beau was standing there over the dead wolf. Staring straight at me and I nod to him and we both run off in different directions. I was still headed towards the house and Beau ran off towards the back of the pack where they
were having the most trouble.
I let out a loud howl and ran forward again towards Jackson where we finally collided with one
another with such a thud it sounded like thunder. We both snarled at each other, teeth baring, going for any weak spot that we could, but we couldn’t get a good hold on each other. We fought with such force and anger that it was evident with anyone near us.
We were both Alpha’s and we both had our aura rushing out of us and the wolves that were near us needed to give us space because they couldn’t fight. The Alpha aura was affecting them and they needed to get away from us because we were causing them pain and they
couldn’t fight while we were near each other.
Jackson managed to claw across my chest and I sunk my teeth into his shoulder and I forced him to the ground. But he used his back legs to kick me off. We both got back up to our feet and stared at each other before charging at each other again. Jackson managed to get a hold of my throat and he got me to the ground and had a murderous look in his face.
He let go briefly to get a better hold, but one more lock of his jaw and I knew that I was done for. I needed to make sure that Ivy got out of here safely. And at that second, that split second, before he brought his head down to connect with my neck again I heard a ferocious growl
come from Jackson.
I looked up and he had a silver knife sticking out the side of his neck. And I saw someone run from the house and rip the knife out of his neck and she jumped on his back and pulled the
knife across his throat.
The blood spurted all over me, but I didn’t care. Because as soon as I saw her hair, I knew that it was her. Jackson fell to the ground and she rolled off of him.
I slowly got up and limped over to her and she was lying on the ground trying to catch her breath when she saw me standing over her.
“Hi baby.” She says while puffing heavily.
That’s when I noticed that a lot of the fighting was dying down around us. I looked up and a lot of Jackson’s men had felt the tether break and they knew that Jackson was dead. Ivy got up

to look around as well and my warriors were still in their attack positions while Jackson’s men weren’t moving.
But then they did something that I never expected from this group of warriors. They bowed. They all slowly bowed to me, as their Alpha was now dead, it meant that I was now their Alpha because they believed that I killed him. But it wasn’t me that they should be bowing to. It should be Ivy. She was now their leader. I shifted back, not caring at all that I was naked, and I looked at Ivy.
“It looks like you’re an Alpha now.” I said to her and she looked at me terrified.
