CHAPTER 47
IVY POV
It’s been two days since I saw Freya and now was the moment of truth. I was actually taken. out of my room for the first time since I’ve been here and I was led to a room that was set up like a hospital operating room.
Jackson was there of course but I was as nervous as anything. I didn’t know if this was going to work. I didn’t know if I could do this. I was internally struggling with myself. I wanted to heal Freya. She was my half sister and I didn’t have anything against her. She was just a child. But if I saved her I was afraid that she would grow up to be just like Jackson. That was something
that I wouldn’t be able to live with.
Levi was left in charge of the pack while Jackson was in the room with me and I saw Freya
lying on the bed looking at me.
approached the bed and I smiled down at her. But she could tell that it was a really nervous
smile. So she asked me to come closer. And I leaned down to her so she could whisper
something to me.
“Just give them the same light show that you did the other day. I know that you already took the cancer.” She whispers. And I look at her with wide eyes for a moment.
“I don’t know how I did that.” I whispered.
“You’re special. You already saved me. But give them the light show so your friends have a
chance to get you out.” She whispered.
“You’re pretty smart for a 12 year old.” I say.
“I heard that I got it from my big sister.” She says smiling at me. And I smile back at her.
“Alright. That’s enough whispering.” Jackson snapped and I stood up straight. I turned to glare
at him.
“Don’t snap at us just because you’re daughter has more kindness in her little finger then you
do in your entire f**king body.” I snapped.
“Get on with it.” He yelled.
So I stood over her and I closed my eyes and concentrated. I started up at her head and I
started thinking about the cancer. And I suddenly got the same vision. But it was slightly
different. She was right. I could see inside her, but there was nothing attacking her bones this
time. They were starting to heal. She had werewolf healing and she had the ability to heal fast

but because the cancer was attacking her for so long, it was going to take longer for her to heal then usual. But the cancer was gone and she was starting to heal. I started slowing moving my hands along her body with the light show that she told me to put on. To show Jackson that I was actually doing something.
But I was ripped out of my concentration by a lot of commotion outside the mansion. And
Jackson jumped up from his seat.
“You two guards, stay here and make sure that she finishes. We’re under attack. I have to go.”
Jackson yelled running out of the room. I stood there staring at Jackson running out of the
room and one of the guards started to approach me.
“You heard him. Get back to work.” He demanded. So I turned back to Freya and she was
leaning up on her elbows and she slid a silver knife out from under the mattress with a black
handle on it so that I wouldn’t hurt myself by touching it.
I looked at her like she was the most impressive child I had ever met. She was helping me.
Going against her father. I couldn’t believe it. She winked at me and I smiled. I grabbed the
black handle of the knife and as the guard approached me closer because I hadn’t continued I
spun around and plunged the knife right into his heart.
The other guard lunged at me and grabbed me from behind with his arms around my arms
and torso so that I couldn’t move so I headbutted him instead and he stumbled back and I
was about to turn around and I turned the knife in my hand and I slashed him across the
throat.
“Wow. That was easy.” Freya says getting up.
“I may have only had a couple months of training but it was intense.” I said and she laughed. She hugged the side of me and I was shocked when she did that. I looked down at her and she
looked up at me.
“I always wanted to meet my sister. I knew that you existed. It was a family secret though. But
I was never allowed to meet you. I’m glad that I did. I’ve always wanted a sister.” She says.
And I put my arm around her.
“Come on. We need to get out of here.” I say.
“What about the beasts?” She asked.
“You got any ideas on how to kill them?” I asked.
“They were created from werewolf and vampire DNA. Something went wrong and that’s what
was created. But dad liked it, so he made more.” She says.

“So, a silver knife should do something to them, shouldn’t it?” I asked.
“Yeah. Or wood through the heart.” She says.
“Alright. Let’s go.” I say taking her hand and slowly reaching for the door handle.
ASHER POV
As soon as everyone was assembled outside the packhouse they all said goodbye to their loved ones and we were ready to hit the road. A couple were going by car but the rest were
going in wolf form. It was faster that way and we needed to get there as fast as possible.
I was saying goodbye to my mother when she looked at something behind me so I turned
around.
“Beau.” I said, shocked. I hadn’t seen him since I kicked him out of the packhouse.
“I’m coming too.” Beau announced.
“I don’t know if that’s a good idea.” I say.
“It’s no secret to anyone that I had feelings for Ivy. But that was before I knew that you were
her mate. And since she found out and you two had been spending so much time together I
can see that she doesn’t want me. I know that it’s one sided and that shouldn’t matter. I can
deal with my feelings and keep them in check. She loves you and she only wants you.” Beau
explained.
“But I am not going to have an unmated male hanging around my mate drooling all over her.” I
insist.
“I won’t. I’m not coming back to the packhouse. But I am still a member of this pack and I am
still a member of this family. I will always love Ivy. Whether or not I had feelings for her or not,
she is still my sister in law. At least she will be when you finally get up the nerve to finally
f**king mark her and marry her. Anyway, no matter what I will always love her. In one way or
another. That’s something that you need to get used to.” Beau says.
“Beau. He is your brother. And he is a member of this family.” Mom says to me.
“Alright. You can come. Only because I know that you will fight to the death for her.” I say.
“That’s right.” Beau says.
“Alright. Everyone, we need to leave now.” I shout to my warriors. And one by one we all shift to
our wolf forms and we take off towards the woods and out of sight of everyone at the pack.
It took two days for us to arrive at the location that Carter told us to get to. And it was a
grueling two days. We only stopped briefly a couple of times, so everyone was pretty

exhausted. It was in the middle of the day when we arrived and we shifted back to see Carter and his army waiting for us.
We decided to rest first. My men were too exhausted to actually fight at the moment. They were going to get themselves killed.
“How long do you think we should wait?” Carter asked.
“We’ll attack tomorrow morning. They won’t be expecting it during the day. Do you have
someone to live stream this to the world?” I asked.
“Yeah. That’s all taken care of.” Carter says. We were going to make sure that people knew that not all werewolves were evil. And to show that we banded together to kill Jackson and make sure that he couldn’t hurt anyone ever again.
We couldn’t light fires or anything like that because they would see but we were a fair distance back because we needed to make sure that they couldn’t hear us either. And I definitely wasn’t getting any sleep that night. I was too anxious. Too nervous. I was just hoping that nothing had happened to Ivy since Carter called me.
“I need to know Asher. How did you know where to look for Ivy. I mean, this would be the last place I would have looked.” Carter said sitting next to me while I was sitting away from everyone else.
I was asleep in bed one night when I heard someone calling my name. It woke me up and I looked up and Ivy was standing there.
“Oh my god. How?” I asked.
“I don’t know how I’m here. I’m not really here. It’s just my mind.” She says.
“What are you talking about?” I asked.
“I don’t know how I’m doing it. But I have had visions of you since I was taken. I saw you kick Beau out of the house. So I thought that I might be able to come to you in the same way.” She
explained.
“Where are you?” I asked.
“I think I know where. The smell is different here. We’re not in Louisiana. I think it’s Oklahoma.
From what I can see it looks like an old plantation house. But I’ve been locked in one room.
There is a large forest around the house, but open fields close to the house. They will see you
coming. You need to be careful. There are a lot of people here. A large army.” She explained it
to me.

“Has he hurt you?” I asked.
“No. And he doesn’t plan on killing me. I learnt that from one of his forced slaves. But we’re in the middle of nowhere. I can’t see any houses anywhere.” She says.
“Is there anything else you can tell me? Anything about where you are being kept?” I asked.
“Yeah. The closest town is Wakita. Don’t ask me how I know, I just do. I saw a sign in my dream last night.” She explained.
“We are coming for you. I promise that we are coming for you.” I say.
“Hurry. He wants me to heal his sick daughter. And I don’t know how to.” She says.
“Alright. We’ll hurry. I miss you so much.” I say.
“I miss you too. But we’ll say that to each other when we see each other again.” She says.
“We’re on our way. I promise.” I said.
“Be smart about it. He hasn’t taken over a quarter of the country because he’s stupid.” she
says.
“I know. Don’t worry. We’ve got the numbers now.” I say.
“It was Ivy that told me. Turns out white wolves do have powers.” I said, looking at him and he was looking very confused.
