CHAPTER 34
The following morning Asher was still asleep when I woke up and I got changed and headed downstairs.
I jogged around the whole territory which took two and a half hours and then I was heading back to the packhouse.
‘Asher. You up?‘ I mindlinked.
‘Yeah. Where the hell are you?‘ He asked.
‘About 10 minutes away. Get changed and meet me in the training room.‘ I said.
‘I told you that it’s too soon for you to start training.‘ He says.
‘And I ignored you when you said that. I’m training today with you or with my own guards. It’s up to you.’ I say.
‘Fine. I’ll be right there.‘ He says giving up on the argument. He could tell in the tone of my voice that I wasn’t going to give up on this. I was training whether he liked it or not.
When I got to the training room at the back of the packhouse Asher was already waiting for me and he turned around to look at me as I walked in and I approached him on the pads.
“I want you to know that you asked for this. You wanted to start training straight away.” He
says.
“I know.” I say looking at him like ‘duh‘. And then he kicked my legs out from underneath me and I fell flat on my back. And he looked down at my smile.
“Oh. So, it’s going to be like that. Are you trying to teach me a lesson?” I asked.
“Yes. I’m trying to teach you to fight.” He says helping me up by my hand.
“You’ve trained your whole life. I never have.” I remind him.
“And now you are being thrown into the deep end. It’s the only way to learn.” He says coming at me again and knocking me down once again.
“Ouch.” I say getting up. But that didn’t last long. I was knocked down again, and again, and
again, and again. I couldn’t get a handle on what was happening. I couldn’t keep up. He moved
too fast. I didn’t know any of the moves that he was doing. I had no idea that some of those
moves were even possible. But he was doing them all to me.
By lunch time I had been knocked on my ass more than I had been in my entire life. I was sore all over and covered in bruises and I could tell that Asher was starting to feel it too. Not the

physical side of it. He hated hurting me. He hated leaving these bruises on me. But it had to be done. Even I knew that.
We went to the kitchen and got some lunch and sat at the dining table eating it.
“Holy sh*t. What the hell did you do to her?” Cole asked to come into the room with Olivia.
“Nothing I didn’t ask for.” I replied.
“She wants to train. I took it too far.” Asher says.
“No, you didn’t. But after lunch, teach me some of those moves and then teach me how to defend myself so it might help a little bit more?” I asked.
“We’re not going again after lunch. We’re done for the day.” Asher insisted. “I have other things to do as well.” He continued.
“Sawyer.” I sang out.
“Yes Luna.” He says coming into the room.
“Will you train me after lunch? Show me the moves and show me how to fend them off.” I say. And he looked at Asher. ” Don’t look at him. He’s busy this afternoon. He can’t train me. So you can.” I say.
Asher looked at me like he really wanted to object but the way that I looked back at him, I was daring him to object. Because he wasn’t going to win that argument. I wasn’t backing down from this. I was going to train as hard as I could and I wasn’t giving up on it. I knew that he thought I was pushing myself too hard. But I was dedicated to this. I was going to keep going and pushing myself harder and harder every day. I had to. For me.
So after lunch I went back to the training room with Sawyer while Asher had work to tend to. I knew that he wasn’t happy about it. Especially because I was training with another man. Alpha’s are so goddam possessive. But if he wasn’t going to do it, then I would find someone
else that would.
We were training until dinner and then I got something to eat and I slowly made my way up
the stairs to the bedroom and I peeled off my sweat soaked clothes and headed to the
bathroom.
I let the hot water run on my sore muscles to help ease them when I heard the bathroom door open. I glance over my shoulder and I see Asher slowly walking in.
“Mind if I join you?” He asked. I was a little shocked at first. We haven’t seen each other naked or been too intimate with each other. But I couldn’t help the smile spread across my face.
“If you want to.” I say. So he took his shorts off and threw them in the hamper and I gotta

admit, I was definitely impressed. And a little scared of what I saw.
He opened the shower door and got into the shower behind me. He grabbed the soap and started washing my back but he was being really gentle because of all the bruises that I had acquired during the day. I heard a small growl coming from his chest.
“It’s alright Asher. I’m fine.” I say.
“Why are you pushing yourself so hard?” He asked.
“Because I don’t think Jackson is going to wait around forever while I get my act into gear and
learn how to fight. I should already know this s**t that you guys are teaching me. I am way behind.” I say.
“I know that he won’t wait. But I also don’t want you out on that battlefield.” He says.
“Asher. You might not get a choice. He’s building a really large army. And he’s already said that he’s coming for us. Well, he’s coming for you. He thinks I’m dead. And that’s the way it should stay.” I say.
“What?” He asked, confused.
“I think that we should continue letting him think that I’m dead. Let it be a little surprise for him when he comes calling.” I say.
“That’s actually not a bad idea.” He says.
“Thanks. Glad you agree.” I say.
“But I hate seeing you like this.” He says.
“I know. And I’m sorry. But I have to do it. Not just for the upcoming war. But for me.” I say while yawning.
“You need to get to bed.” He says.
“It was hard work today.” I say. Asher finished washing me and he helped me out of the shower and he dried me while we were in the bathroom and he sat me on the bathroom sink while he was drying my legs and I wrapped them around his waist when he stood back up.
“What are you doing?” He asked.
“Enjoying the moment.” I said, wrapping my arms around his neck and I leaned forward to kiss
him.
I could feel his c**k twitching between my thighs but that didn’t really matter because I’m sure

He kissed me gently but with urgency at the same time. Like his life depended on it. And he pulled me closer to him so that both of our bare chests were touching and a lowly growl came from his chest before he bit my bottom lip and pulled away.
“Oi. I wasn’t finished.” I say.
“Yeah. I think you are. Because if we keep going I don’t think I will be able to control myself anymore.” He says.
“Is that such a bad thing?” I asked starting to kiss down his jawline to his marking spot on his neck and he let out a moan. He put his hand on the back of my head and he pulled me closer while I kissed and nipped at his marking spot. A very sensitive spot for werewolves.
He picked me up off the sink and I wrapped my legs around his waist and he carried me to the bedroom. He laid me down on the bed and he stood back looking at me lying there naked so he could admire what he was seeing.
He then kneeled on the bed and placed his arms next to my head so his whole weight wasn’t on top of me when he started kissing me again.
“You have no idea what you do to me.” He whispers into her ear.
“I think I have a pretty good idea.” I say. And he leaned down and started kissing me again.
He kissed me all the way down my jawline to my neck and down to my breast. He sucked one of them in his mouth and kneaded the other with his other hand. He started slowly nipping and sucking at my skin as he went down my stomach until he reached my thighs.
I could feel my heart pounding almost out of my chest as he got closer to my core. He kissed down my left thigh before he lifted that leg and wrapped it around his neck and started kissing up my right thigh before I felt his hot breath on my slit.
