CHAPTER 61
The next morning after we got up and dressed we headed downstairs to the dining room and Freya was just leaving for school and Spencer and Cole were nowhere to be seen either. So Asher and I sat in the informal dining room at a table next to the window and I was looking out at the sun shining down and the gardens outside.
“Are you alright?” Asher asked.
“Yeah. Why wouldn’t I be?” I asked.
“I don’t know. You just look a little pissed off.” He says.
“Why the hell shouldn’t I be pissed off?” I asked just as Lucy walked over with a tray and put down our plates of food and two coffees.
“Enjoy guys.” She says walking away. And I just sat there and stared at the coffee and then
looked at Asher.
“We have to pretend like we don’t know anything.” Asher whispered.
“I’m not drinking that. Who the hell knows what she’s been putting in it.” I say.
“It’s just birth control.” He says.
“What kind? It could be poison for all I know. It could be rotting my insides for all we know.” I
say.
“Remember that Levi wants to snatch you when you are pregnant. So, they wouldn’t be giving you anything that would make you sterile.” He whispers.
I saw Lucy out of the corner of my eye watching us and as Asher put his hand on my hand I ripped it away from him.
“Would you just calm down already?” He asked.
“No. I don’t feel like calming down. I want you to leave me alone about this bullshit about having a baby. It’s obviously not happening. So just leave me alone.” I snapped at him before storming off.
ASHER POV
I stayed sitting at the table watching Ivy storm off and I was grateful that no one else was
around to see it. Except Lucy but she was working. Of course she is going to see little crap like
that happening.
“Are you alright?” Lucy asked walking over to me.

“Yeah. I’m fine.” I say.
“It doesn’t sound fine. She looked really angry.” Lucy says.
“It’s just this whole baby thing. We’ve been trying for a year and it’s not happening. That doesn’t happen to an Alpha. It always happens right away.” I say.
“Well, maybe there are some problems there.” Lucy suggested.
“I did ask Ivy to go and see a doctor with me but she won’t. I don’t think she wants to believe
that there’s anything wrong.” I told her.
“Well, good luck.” Lucy tells me.
“Thanks.” I say as she cleared off Ivy’s plates and took them to the kitchen. I saw her watching me as she was walking back to the kitchen and she half smiled like she was getting a little
nervous.
When I left the packhouse that day I went straight to the school and Natalie’s mother was in
the office, where she always was.
“Alpha. How may I help you?” Anna asked.
“Well, for starters you can pack your s**t up because you’re fired.” I say leaning on the desk.
“Excuse me?” She asked.
“Your daughter is telling everyone that Freya is no good because her father was Jackson. Well, guess what. Jackson was also your Luna’s father. You insult Freya then you insult me and the Luna. And we aren’t going to accept that.” I spelled it out for her very carefully.
“I didn’t know.” Anna said.
“Bullshit. You know very well what your daughter is doing. And Freya is not oblivious to the filthy looks that you give her. You’re an adult, she’s a child. She didn’t ask to be born to that man. And she shouldn’t be punished for it. She is nothing like him and if your daughter doesn’t stop the bullying then she will also be punished for it.” I explained to her and she looked a little
scared at that thought.
The principal came out of her office after hearing everything that I had just said to Anna and
she leaned on the counter as well.
“You heard the Alpha. Pack your things and leave. I will not allow students or staff to bully other students.” The principle Sara said.
“Well, I am sorry that you all feel that way. But you have all thought the same thing as me. When will Freya start acting like her father.” Anna says.

“Have you also thought about that Luna Ivy?” I asked.
“No. Because she wasn’t raised by him.” Anna says.
“She still has his DNA. And she’s 10 times the woman that you will ever be. Now go.” I demanded. So she grabbed her things and she left in a hurry.
“Alpha. I am so sorry. I had no idea. And I definitely didn’t know that Anna herself was causing Freya any discomfort here at school.” Sara says.
“I know. It’s fine. It’s dealt with. I have to get going.” I say turning around and leaving.
I headed back to the packhouse and when I walked into my office I saw Ivy sitting at the
computer.
“Did she buy the distraction?” Ivy asked me.
“Yeah. She tried to talk to me about everything after you stormed off. Did you find the vile in
her room?” I asked.
“Yeah. She’s still using it.” Ivy says.
“Alright. So, their plans aren’t put into motion yet. How the hell are we going to stop them
when they are?” I asked.
“Well they will have all of the traitors in this pack do their bidding for them. They will use them
to get me to the border. Which is why we need to figure this s**t out. And quickly.” Ivy says. So
I grabbed a handful of files and we started going through them together.
LUCY POV
I managed to sneak out of the packhouse that day while no one was looking and I met Anna
in the forest who looked a little distraught.
“I told you not to contact me unless it was an emergency.” I yelled at Anna.
“The Alpha just fired me from the school office.” Anna says.
“What? Why?” I asked.
“Because my daughter is bullying Freya and apparently Freya has noticed me giving her dirty
looks. I didn’t even realize I was doing it.” Anna says.
“Why were you giving her dirty looks? The plan is to take Freya as well. Levi wants Freya back
with him, where she belongs.” I say.
“I know that. But I still can’t help but see how much she has betrayed her brother. She’s fully into this life now. Living with Ivy and Asher. She loves it here.” Anna says.

CHAPTER 61
“Once she sees her brother again and sees that he is alive, then she will realize what a mistake she made. She always loved her brother.” I say.
“You don’t know that. Ivy gives Freya so much more than what Jackson did.” Anna says.
“But Ivy doesn’t give her more than what Levi did. That’s the difference. You need to get another job that will benefit this cause.” I say.
“Like what? I can’t work at the school and they’re definitely not going to hire me at the packhouse.” Anna says.
“Alright. Change my last thought. You need to lay low. Get a job in town and keep your head down. Stay out of the Alpha’s radar.” I demand.
“I will. When is the next meeting?” Anna asked.
“In a couple of days. I’ll let you know.” I say. And I started walking back to the packhouse.
As I approached the backdoor of the packhouse I saw Luna Ivy sitting there with a coffee and
a smoke.
“Luna. I thought you quit smoking.” I say.
“I did. It’s a slip up.” She says.
“Is this because of you and Asher?” I asked.
“He thinks that I don’t want kids? He thinks that I am deliberately not going to the doctor
because I don’t want a baby. I want nothing more than to have a baby. To complete my family.”
She says.
“Then, what’s the problem?” I asked.
“If I go to the doctor and he tells me that something is wrong, then I have let him down. I haven’t fulfilled my duties as a Luna. As the leader of this pack. I won’t produce him the heir that he deserves.” She says.
“I can understand that you probably do feel a little overwhelmed by it all.” I said.
“You know what, screw it. I might as well just go to the doctor and find out for sure. We can’t keep going on like this.” She says.
“No.” I almost shouted. But then I composed myself again when she looked at me really weird.
I can’t believe I just yelled at the Luna.
“I mean, sometimes it takes time. And who’s to say that you’re the problem?” I asked.
“I don’t know. I’ve never heard of an Alpha having a problem reproducing.” She says.

CHAPTER 61
“Doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. This could be the first time. Maybe you should tell him to go get tested.” I say.
“Yeah. That would really piss him off. He’s putting my womanhood into question. He would hate it if I put his manhood into question.” She says.
“Exactly.” I say.
“Thanks Lucy. I have to go. I’ve got things to do.” She says.
“No worries. I’ll see you later.” I say.
“Bye.” She says. And I watch Ivy walk back into the house. And I couldn’t help the smile on my face and she disappeared back into the house. I never thought them not getting pregnant would cause so much tension. Maybe this will be easier than I thought to separate them and get Ivy on her own. Especially if they stop talking to each other and he blocks her mind linking. Now we just have to wait for the go ahead to get our plans moving. And I can’t wait!
