CHAPTER 53
“Well, it turns out that white wolves have more powers than we thought. At least, this white wolf does.” I say slowly.
“What kind of healing powers?” Asher asked. And I looked at him and a claw mark that was slowly healing down the side of his face and neck. So I placed my hand over it and I closed my eyes and I concentrated on what I was doing.
I heard gasps as a bright light came from my hand and I ran it along the wound and it
disappeared straight away.
“Oh my god.” Spencer says shocked. And Asher picked up his metal cutlery to look at his face. and see that the wound was gone.
“You just healed that.” Asher said in disbelief.
“I did.” I say.
“She took my cancer away.” Freya spoke up and they all stared at me and someone dropped
their cutlery.
“Don’t ask me how I did that. I just did. I concentrated on what I needed to do. I actually saw
the cancer attacking her bones and I healed her the first time I tried. Jackson didn’t know that.
He thought that I was examining the cancer for the first time. So the second time he took me
out of my locker room and Freya went along with it all. So I could try and escape.” I explained.
“I didn’t want him to hurt Ivy. She helped me and I knew that he was going to hurt her when he was done with her. So I wanted to help her get out.” Freya says. And I put my arm around her.
“And that’s exactly what you did. You helped me. No one else did.” I say.
We were all poured a glass of wine and Freya tugged on my shirt so I bent down to listen to
her.
“Can I have some?” She whispered and I chuckled.
“Alright. But just a little bit.” I say looking at the waiter. So he smiled and nodded. He only put
a tiny bit in her glass but Henry stood up to make a toast.
“This has been a toast a long time in the making. I’ll keep it short. I just want to welcome Ivy
home, where she belongs. I could never have asked for a better mate for my son. You have
done so much for him and he has changed so much since meeting you. You are the only
person I’ve ever met that has enough guts to challenge him and that is saying something. So,
welcome home to Ivy. And I also want to welcome the newest member into this family. Freya,

we couldn’t be happier to have you here. And you are now family to each and every person at this table. We will love you like you are our own and if you ever need anything then you just need to ask. And believe me, no one will say no because no one wants to endure the wrath of your sister.” Henry says and everyone laughed at the last part.
“I am not that bad.” I defended myself. But no one said anything.
“Alright. Here’s to having Ivy and Freya home. At long last.” Henry said, raising his glass and we all did the same thing and took a drink.
Asher held my hand on the table and I reached over so he could kiss me. And I could just feel
how happy he was having me home again. It was exactly the same way I was feeling.
“Now, when are we going to see marks on your necks?” Elsie asked.
“We were going to wait for Ivy’s 18th’s birthday.” Asher says.
“Actually, that was two days ago.” I announce. And he stared at me.
“Holy s**t. It was too. I was totally focused on getting you back. I didn’t even realize. Baby, I
am so sorry.” Asher says.
“I didn’t expect you to remember me while I was kidnapped.” I say.
“I know. But that was your first birthday while we’ve been together. That actually explains a
lot. He says.
“What are you talking about?” I asked, starting to eat my food.
“Today. After the battle. You stayed really close to me. Usually you’re just business as usual. But today you were always within reaching distance of me. You never said anything about the bond being in place though.” He says.
“We were a little busy for me to bring that up.” I say.
“I guess so.” He says.
“Well, this calls for a damn party.” Spencer says.
“No way.” I say.
“Hell yeah. The whole pack will be there.” She says.
“Have you noticed that we’ve got 8000 warriors out there that I need to interview to see what I need to do with them? I think that takes priority. I’m starting those interrogations tomorrow.” I
announce.
“That’s good. Get it over and done with. And then we party.” Henry says.

“Am I going to win this fight?” I asked Asher.
“No. They’ll just make it a surprise party. They’ll do it anyway.” He says.
“Dammit. Fine. But please don’t get to too much trouble.” I say.
“We’ll try.” Elsie says.
I noticed that Beau was being really quiet through the whole dinner. And I thought it was
because of the fight that he had with his brother. But I saw him looking at Freya with a weird.
look on his face a few times. I had a feeling that he felt a little uneasy having her here. But
that was something he needed to get over. She was only 12 years old and he didn’t live in the
packhouse anyway. So it was none of his business. I wasn’t going to cast him out because he
had a problem with her.
Once dinner was over we said goodnight to everyone and I took Freya up to her room and she
had a shower and I brushed her hair after she got dressed and I tucked her into bed and I
stayed there with her until she fell asleep. I ended up singing to her to make her feel a little bit
more at ease and that helped her go to sleep.
I waited until she was fully asleep before I headed to my room and Asher wasn’t in there. So I
went into the bathroom and I saw that there were candles lit everywhere and he already had
that bath ready for me.
