CHAPTER 46
IVY POV
After a week of being here I had checked every square inch of my bedroom and the bathroom attached but I couldn’t find anything to help in my escape.
Adam brought my meal to me like he did every day. Only once a day. And I still tasted and smelt the food before I tasted it.
“So, how big has Jackson’s army gotten?” I asked very casually.
“How dumb do you think I am? There is a camera right there and they are listening to
everything we are talking about. Why would I tell you anything?” He asked.
“I don’t know. I guess I was just hoping you’re as dumb as you look.” I say.
“You’re not much of a people person, are you?” He asked.
“I love people. My friends and family. But you and this pack. Nope.” I say.
“Well, you better get used to it. Because you’re going to be here for a while.” He says.
“Oh. So, he’s not planning on killing me any time soon. Good to know.” I say. And he looked at me weird. Like he was trying to figure out how he just gave that away.
“Can I start making requests on my meals because this food is starting to get a little boring.” I
say.
“No. You eat what you are given.” He says.
“Food is pretty easy to come by. I’m sure it won’t hurt to make something else.” I say.
“That’s what you think.” He muttered.
“What’s that mean? Is food hard to get around here? That must mean that we’re out in the
middle of nowhere. Not near a town at all.” I say.
“Holy s**t. Would you just shut up and finish eating.” He yelled at me.
“Why? It’s fun watching you get flustered.” I laughed.
“Well, knock it off. Just hurry up. I have things to do.” He says.
“Like what? Attack another human town.” I growled.
“No. He did that yesterday.” He says. And I glared at him.
“Where? How many did he kill this time?” I asked.

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” He asked, smirking at me.
“Yeah. That’s why I asked dick.” I glared at him.
“Well, it was enough to get the attention of the entire country.” He says.
“He already had the attention of the entire country. You are all going to rot in hell for what you’re doing. I’m going to make sure of it.” I say.
“Yeah. How? You’re locked up in here with no way to get out.” He taunts me. But I just smirked at him.
“What are you up to?” He asked.
“Why would I tell you that? Wouldn’t that defeat the whole purpose?” I asked, treating him like a complete i****.
“Don’t do anything stupid. Jackson will really make you pay for it. Without killing you. You will wish that he killed you.” Adam says.
“I already wish that. Do you think I like being locked up in here all day every day?” I asked.
“This is nothing compared to what he could do.” Adam says.
“I’m sure.” I say rolling my eyes.
“You saw the way he treated you while you were a part of his pack. That was nothing compared to what he could do to you now.” Adam says.
“I don’t doubt that.” I say simply. I could tell that he was trying to figure out what was going on through my mind but he was completely unaware. He didn’t know me. Didn’t know what I was capable of.
So I finished eating my food and he took the tray and left. And those beasts were still standing guard outside my room. But I lied down on the bed staring up at the ceiling with the window open listening to all the noises that were outside trying to figure out what I could hear and what I couldn’t hear. I knew that there had to be a flaw in his system somewhere.
I heard someone walking outside my door and I saw the shadow outside my door but they didn’t come inside. They stayed out there.
The whole time I had been here, Jackson hadn’t come back to visit me. He was feeding me. He was keeping me alive. So I was thinking that I was just bait to get Asher to come out of hiding. And I was hoping that Asher was smarter than that. He needed to be smarter than that. I just needed him to know that I was alright. I was unharmed and they weren’t hurting me at all.

CHAPTER 46
I walked across the room and looked out my window with bars on it and I saw someone shining through the woods in the distance. Like the sun was reflecting off of something. I couldn’t make out what it was though. It was strange. I strained to see what it was, but it was too far into the woods. Past Jackson’s patrols.
I went back to my bed and sat there with my legs crossed, doing absolutely nothing. Just staring straight ahead and making sure that Jackson knew that he wasn’t going to break me. That bastard tried to break my mother before he killed her. He tried to make his pack try to break me. But that didn’t happen either. And I am a lot stronger now than I was back then. Back then I was being strong for my mother. Now, I was strong because I had Asher supporting me and his entire pack. Plus the refugees. That was all I needed.
And then there was Carter. He had his own army who found me. I really wish that they hadn’t kidnapped me to get their point across to me about who they were. I’m a little sick of getting kidnapped now. But Carter had his own pack of resistance fighters. And I could only imagine how big that pack was. I was hoping that it was massive. I imagine he would have waited until he had the numbers before he came to me with it. Otherwise there wouldn’t have been much point to it.
The world was crumbling and Jackson was the one responsible. He needed to be stopped and Asher needed to be smart about it. He needed to be really smart about it. He needed to make sure that when he attacked, he was going to win. That Jackson was going to lose. That was the only way this war was going to end.
I didn’t care about myself. We just needed this war to end. Humans knew about werewolves now. And we needed them to know that we weren’t all like Jackson. They needed to see that we were perfectly happy living our lives away from humans and keeping to ourselves.
While I was sitting on my bed with my legs cross the door opened and Jackson was walking inside with his 12 year old daughter. She looked very sick indeed. She was definitely dying. I could smell it on her. Whatever she had, werewolf healing couldn’t help her.
“Ivy. This is my daughter Freya.” Jackson introduced.
“Yeah. I figured that. What’s wrong with her?” I asked.
“Cancer.” He says.
“And what the hell am I supposed to do about that? I’m not a healer.” I insist.
“You’re a white wolf. You are a healer. You just don’t know it. You don’t know how to use your powers. You can heal her.” Jackson demanded.
“How? Tell me how to use those powers and I’ll do it. I have nothing against your daughter and

I don’t want her to die.” I say.
“I’m glad to hear it. But that’s something that you need to figure out.” He says. Oh crap. Now I’m gonna die. I have no idea how the f**k to heal anyone. I’ve never done that before. I’ve
never needed to. I didn’t even know that was an option. I know that there are some things that
I can do that aren’t normal. But healing someone of cancer definitely wasn’t one of them.
“Alright. Come and sit down here Freya.” I say patting my hand on the bed. So she slowly
walks over and sits down next to me. ” Are you going to kill me if this doesn’t work straight
away?” I asked Jackson.
“No. I’ll give you time to figure out your powers. But just remember, she’s running out of time.”
He
says. So I place my hands on Freya and I concentrate. I concentrate on the cancer within
her and I am suddenly stuck with a vision.
I can actually see the cancer inside her body. Attacking her body but mostly her bones. They
were weak and brittle. The cancer was advanced. And she was going to die from this. She
really didn’t have long to live. I could see the cancer but I didn’t know how I was meant to heal
- it.
I heard a gasp and I opened my eyes and I looked down at my hands that were glowing on
Freya’s skin. I didn’t remove them though. I kept them there. I wasn’t removing her cancer. I
was examining her. I was seeing what was wrong with her.
When the glow disappeared Jackson thought that she was healed. But I told him that she
wasn’t. I could tell that the cancer was still there. But I could see it. I could see where it was.
Where it is attacking her.
Freya then handed me a tissue and pointed to my nose. So I wiped my nose and there was a
little bit of blood on it.
“If you could do that, then you just need to hone your powers and heal her. I will bring her back
later. You can try again.” Jackson says standing up and he took Freya’s hand and left the room locking it after him.
Holy s**t. Did that just happen? Did I have powers that I didn’t know that I had. Oh, Moon
Goddess, if there was ever a time for you to show up please let it be now. Tell me how to heal that kid so he doesn’t kill me and the rest of my family.
ASHER POV
I was sitting in my office looking over a few maps and putting crosses through area’s where
packs had been wiped out and towns of human’s that Jackson had destroyed. And then my
phone started ringing.

CHAPTER 46
“Hello.” I answered.
“It’s Carter. We’ve found them. The mansion. We saw Ivy standing at one of the windows. It’s got bars so she can’t get out that way.” Carter tells me.
“Where it is?” I asked. And he gave me the coordinates that I wrote down. “Alright. I’ll assemble my warriors and we’ll be on our way. We’re getting my Luna back as soon as we arrive.” I tell Carter.
“I’ll do the same. The rest of my warriors are on their way. They know we have to save my sister. That’s all they’ve been told. And to kill anyone else who gets in the way.” Carter explains.
“How did you know that she’d still be alive and in the middle of nowhere?” Carter asked.
“I had inside information. You don’t need to worry about that.” I say hanging up. And I mind link the entire pack.
‘The Luna has been found. Warriors assemble outside the packhouse. We leave this afternoon.‘ I announce before cutting off the link.
