CHAPTER 44
IVY POV
I didn’t know how we got here. Jeremiah kept a blindfold on my face the whole time while we were coming here. We’d been traveling for hours and when the blindfold was finally removed I was standing in the middle of a grand mansion. It was a lot more than I expected for a hide out. And of course, Jackson made a magnificent entrance coming down the staircase.
“Well, you will never believe my surprise when Jeremiah called me to tell me that you were still alive. Those bastards only had one job. To set up the bomb and make sure that you died in the bomb. But they couldn’t even get that right.” Jackson says.
“Well, you have to admit. Not all of your members are exactly the sharpest tools in the shed.” I say rolling my eyes.
“Is that any way to talk to your former Alpha?” He asked.
“Don’t you mean father?” I asked. And I heard his pack gasp and whisper.
“Father, what is she talking about?” His son Levi asked, looking confused.
“Oh. He never told you. He was the one that raped my mother when she was 14 and got her pregnant.” I say very matter of factly. I didn’t care who knew anymore. And I thought it was best that his own pack knew who they were following.
“That’s not true. I don’t believe you.” Levi says.
“Believe what you want. See if I care. You were never anything to me anyway Levi. You really think I’m looking for a big brother now? I’ve got plenty of them.”
I say.
“You’ve got two brothers that are the same age as you. Weren’t you dating one of them?”
Jackson asked.
“Yes. I was dating my mate’s brother before I knew that Asher was my mate. That was
awkward. But it’s working out. I was really talking about Carter though.” I say. And I watched
as Jackson’s face went pale and he stared daggers at me.
“Oh, I’m sorry. Was I not meant to mention that bastard child of yours? If I recall, he is actually
your oldest. Which means, when you die he is next in line for the Alpha position. Or he could
just challenge you to it.” I say.
“He would never challenge me to it.” Jackson says very sure of himself.
“How do you know that? You haven’t seen him in years. You banished him when he was 14

years old. Right after you raped his girlfriend and she got pregnant with me.” I declared. And Jackson was getting angrier by the second. He was obviously pissed that I knew as much as I did. I wasn’t meant to know any of this. But I guess it was too bad for him. I knew all of it.

guess this means no happy family reunion.” I say.
“Father. You said that Carter wasn’t family. You just treated him like family until he broke the laws and you banished him.” Levi says.
“That’s true. She’s lying.” Jackson spat at me. And I started laughing in his face.
“Whatever makes you sleep at night. It does make me wonder though, how many f**king kids do you actually have?” I asked.
“You men were supposed to bring me the white wolf. Why is she even here? I don’t care that she’s still alive.” Jackson says.
“Because they are one in the same. She half shifted on the way here and killed three of our men.” One warrior says.
“You’re the white wolf. What abilities do you have?” Jackson asked.
“None. That I know of. But I’ve never really tested it. I can test it on you if you like.” I say.
“Put her in the room. Keep two guards outside her room at all times and make sure that she can’t get out.” Jackson ordered. So I was forced up the stairs and down the hallway.
I was pushed into a bedroom and the door was locked behind me. I threw my body against the door but it was made of steel and I went to the window that had metal bars on them as well.
I stopped and looked around the bedroom and it was pretty sparsely decorated but I noticed a
camera in the corner of the room watching my every move. So I needed to be really careful
here.
We had been traveling for hours so I was out of range to be able to mind link with my pack,
which is why they didn’t need to inject me with wolfsbane or chain me up with silver. I was
free to sit around the room as much as I wanted. And do ABSOLUTELY nothing.
I was bored out of my mind in that room. There was nothing to do but sit there and wait for
someone to come into the room to talk to me. And that’s all I did. Just sit on the bed, looking
out of the barred windows.
It was hours before someone finally opened the door and Alpha Jackson walked inside and
closed the door behind him.
“That was a very smart move to play earlier.” He said smirking at me as he walked across the
room to sit down.

“What are you talking about?” I asked.
“Well, you tell everyone that I was your father. Trying to put doubt into my pack’s head about the kind of man that I am.” He says.
“You have them murdering innocent humans. I think they already know what kind of man you. are.” I say very slowly so that he could understand what I was saying. Like he was an i***t.
“Wow. You’re more a piece of work then I remember.” He says.
“Because living in your pack, I had no free will. Living in my new pack, I rule that place. I have
friends. I’m the Luna. People listen to me. People like me. No one is telling them all to shun
- me. It’s great.” I beamed about my new pack.
“Asher will never find you here.” He says.
“Asher will always find me.” I say.
“You’re not even marked yet. If you were marked then that would be a beacon that would lead
him straight to you. But you’re not. So, you two don’t have that connection yet. Which means,
he won’t find you.” Jackson says.
“Asher will always find me.” I repeated in an unwavering voice. Because I knew that it was
true. And I needed him to know that it was true as well. That Asher would never give up on
- me.
“We need to talk about Carter. I didn’t know that you two know each other.” He says.
“We didn’t until the other day. He found me. We get along great. Best big brother I ever could
have asked for. Levi seems a little too whipped for my taste.” I smirked.
“Levi is a good boy. Carter and you are disappointments.” He says.
“Carter was pissed because you raped his girlfriend. And You hate me because I am the evidence of you raping his girlfriend. You were the Alpha. If there was a blood test done to reveal that you were my father, the werewolf council would call for your death.” I say. And he started laughing.
“Haven’t you heard? There is no more werewolf council.” He says. And I simply smile at him.
“Anything can be replaced. Even a council.” I say. And he stopped laughing immediately. Knowing that there was obviously another council coming together that he didn’t know about.
“Good vs Evil. Who do you think is really going to win this Jackson?” I asked.
“Well, I seem to be doing pretty damn well right now.” He says.
“Yeah. Now. Did you really think that you were going to be allowed to continue like this

The only reason you haven’t been stopped yet is because you’ve been hiding away in this mansion in the middle of nowhere and no one could find you… But then you took me. And Asher will search this entire country looking for me. Believe that.” I explained.
“You think that Asher will find you here? He wasn’t able to find me before, why would he be
able to find me now?” He asked.
“Because now you have me. And the mate bond is stronger than ever. He may not know exactly where I am. But he’ll find me. Not that you would know anything about a mate bond.
Does Levi know that his mother isn’t your mate? At least, not your fated mate? Does he know
that you forced her to be your mate and that she absolutely f*****g hates you?” I asked. And
he walked over and punched me across the face.
I spat the blood out of my mouth and I turned back to look at him with a smile on my face.
“I’ll take that as a no. You are so screwed when all of your skeletons come out Jackson. No
one is going to want to follow you. You’ll be on your own. That is if I don’t kill you first.” I say.
“You really think you’re going to kill me?” He asked.
“After what you did to my mother, you can almost guarantee it.” I growled at him.
“Well, this should be interesting then. I look forward to seeing Asher if he does come bursting
through my doors.” Jackson says. He opened my bedroom door and I saw two of those beasts
outside my door. They were horrible and scary and I definitely didn’t want to take them on. So I
needed to find some other way to get out of this room. But that was seeming harder and
harder the more I looked around.
