CHAPTER 21
‘Asher.’ I screamed through the link. But there was still no response. Why was he blocking me out? I didn’t understand why he would just disappear on me like that.
“No one is coming to save you. Your precious little Alpha has been put down.” Jeremiah says and I let out a whine at hearing that. “Relax. He’s not dead. Just enough wolfsbane to keep
him knocking out for a few hours.” Jeremiah says.
‘Sawyer. Declan. Bentley. I screamed through the mindlink. ‘I’m trapped. They’ve knocked out
the Alpha.’ I panicked.
“What is the poor little wolf going to do? She’s trapped and helpless. Just like your mother
was when I caught her.” Jeremiah announced. And I let out a vicious growl baring my teeth. I was ready to rip his head off for that.
“Don’t be like that. We can all get along if you would just calm down. Otherwise we will have to
knock you out as well.” He says and I see the man holding the dart gun. I couldn’t even get my
teeth around the netting to try and chew myself out of it.
Jackson finally caught me. And he was going to do to me what he did to my mother. He was
going to torture me. He was going to make sure that I regretted what we did. We left in the
middle of the night and ran away from him. Jackson didn’t like it when people went behind his
back. And that’s exactly what we did. And I knew that he would find us really quickly. His guards would have followed us when we left that night. I always knew that they would know
where we were.
But I didn’t think that they would be stupid enough to attack another pack. That was an act of war. And this was Alpha Asher’s territory. They had crossed the border. Which meant that he was desperate. He needed to get me back. I guess he was more terrified than I could ever imagine that he was going to be found out.
Out of nowhere I heard a ferocious growl and three wolves came jumping into the clearing
between me in the net and the men that were holding me there. I knew that they were my
guards.
Jeremiah stood back and let his warriors go to fight with them. Which I was not surprised at in the least. He was gutless when it actually came to fighting. Because anyone that knows him, knows that he can’t fight for s**t.
Sawyer, Declan and Bentley tore into those warriors with no mercy, not letting them surrender, not letting them try to retreat. They tore them apart mercilessly and I honestly didn’t care. I

didn’t feel anything for the ones that were killed.
Bentley shifted back to his human form and walked to a tree nearby where some clothes were hidden and put on a pair of shorts. He then walked over and cut me loose from the net and I crashed to the ground.
When I got back up and got my footing again I started running back in the direction that I
came. They started running after me and I retraced my footsteps until I finally came across
Alpha Asher passed out on the ground. No one knew that he was there and I wouldn’t have
known that he was there either if Jeremiah hadn’t told me that they knocked him out.
The guards shifted back so that they could carry him and I went back to where we shifted and I shifted back and I got dressed back into my clothes and I went with them to the hospital.
They put Alpha Asher in a private room down the hallway away from the emergency room and I hooked him up to a drip immediately and started flushing the wolfsbane out of his system.
He was the Alpha and stronger than the rest of the pack. I wasn’t sure how much wolfsbane they injected him with and how much fluids it would take to get it out of his system.
I called Cole and he told his parents and they all came to the hospital and I gave them some
time alone and I went back to the nurse’s station.
“Will the Alpha be okay?” The nurse Vera asked.
“Yeah. I’m sure he’ll be fine.” I say.
“And what about you?” Sawyer asked behind me while I was filling out the chart.
“Yeah, I’m fine. They didn’t touch me.” I say.
“They caught you in a f**king net.” He says.
“I’m aware of that. But I’m fine. They didn’t hurt me.” I say coldly. And I turn to go outside and
have a smoke.
*Alpha Asher better make it through this or I will track Jackson down myself. Lilly says.
‘What is your sudden obsession with the Alpha?‘ I asked.
‘I don’t know. Did you see his wolf? That was mouth watering.‘ She says.
“Wow. You are one horny wolf. I say.
I am definitely horny over him. You should jump that. She says.
“Yeah, that wouldn’t be weird at all. I say sarcastically. ‘I was practically dating his brother,

‘I know. And then the brother left town without telling you that he was leaving. So, screw Beau. Go for the older brother.‘ Lilly says.
‘You’re giving me a headache.‘ I say pushing her to the back of my mind so I couldn’t hear her
anymore.
Cole then came outside and he hugged me straight away.
“Thank you for saving him.” Cole says.
“I wouldn’t have been able to if those guys didn’t save me.” I say.
“Were those men actually on our pack territory?” Cole asked.
“Yeah. A team has already been sent out there. But one got away. Jeremiah Jameson. He is Alpha Jackson’s Beta. He was sent here to get me.” I say.
“Well, that’s an act of war.” Cole says.

‘Jackson is smarter than that. He will throw Jeremiah to the wolves, literally. He will pretend
like Jeremiah was acting on his own and probably even hand Jeremiah over to you.” I say.
“Wow. Jackson really is a sick bastard.” Cole says.
“You have no idea what he is capable of.” I say.
“Well, no more runs in the woods for you. I don’t think my heart can take it.” He says.
“Alpha Asher said that he would be with me every second. And he would have been but they
had high powered dart rifles with them.” I explained.
“Alright. You’re moving to the packhouse for a while.” He says.
“No. No way. I’m fine.” I say.
“They almost got you on pack land. I am not taking no for an answer. You are moving to the packhouse. I will send the guards with you tonight to go and get your things. We got plenty of
room.” He demanded.
“Do I have a choice?” I asked.
“Speaking for the Alpha family, no. You don’t.” He says.
“Pretty soon people are gonna want me gone from this pack. I’m the reason all of this is happening. Look at their Alpha. All because he was being kind to me.” I say. Then a nurse
came outside in a hurry.
“Ivy. The Alpha is awake.” She says. So I put my cigarette out and I went back inside the building and he was awake in the bed with his parents next to him and I check all of his vitals.

“You’re lucky you’re the Alpha. That dose of wolfsbane would have killed anyone else. Going
by the lab reports, it was a huge dose.” I explained.
“Well, thanks to you I’m still here.” He says.
“I’m not the reason you survived. I’m the reason you were attacked.” I said, looking away from
him.
“We both know that’s not true.” Alpha Asher says.
“I just told Ivy that she’s moving into the packhouse with us until everything is sorted out.”
Cole says.
“Good. It’s settled.” Alpha Asher says.
“You guys are a glutton for punishment.” I say, shaking my head.
