CHAPTER 066
I should have been the first one to bed that night since I didn’t sleep the night before, but I was
having trouble sleeping. My mind was racing.
My parents all headed off to bed as I was going to my room and Noah was still in the room next to me while Lucas was in the bedroom down the hall.
I walked into my room and I sat on the bench under my window when Zidrith suddenly appeared outside my window, hanging off the side of the building.
“Hey boy. How are you?” I asked, rubbing his head.
He started leaning into it, making noises like he was trying to talk to me.
Obviously we couldn’t understand each other, but in a way, we could understand each other
without words.
So we spent a bit of time together before I decided to try and get some sleep.
I climbed into bed, but I was tossing and turning in my huge comfortable bed.
I’d been sleeping on basic beds where the mattresses felt like planks of wood at the lost tribe
and now I had to get used to my bed again.
At first I thought it was my bed that was keeping me awake, but when I rolled over, I reached for someone that wasn’t there.
I realized that I was having trouble sleeping because I was alone.
I got out of bed and I walked out of my room.
I went next door to Noah’s room and I went inside and closed the door without knocking.
He rolled over to look at me and without saying anything I climbed into bed next to him.
Noah put his arm over my waist and my back was pressed flush up against his front and I felt safe and secure and warm again.
I fell asleep really quickly after that.
When I woke up the following morning I could tell straight away that I had slept in and when I
rolled over, Noah was already gone.
I got up and went downstairs where everyone was still in the dining room.
They were already eating but the cook brought my plate of food out and I sat between Dean

and Noah down the table a little bit, since the head of the table wasn’t mine anymore.

CHAPTER 066
I didn’t care actually, with my parents back, I knew that I would have less responsibilities around here.
I was actually happy about that. I’d had a taste of what it was like to be Queen and I could definitely wait to take on that title.
Mom has her three mates to help her, but I was doing it alone so I think that’s what the
difference was.
Lucas was also at the table and everyone was talking around the table with each other, but I
was just listening. I wasn’t really saying anything.
No one said anything to me, but if they asked me questions and stuff then I would answer.
Otherwise I was just happy to listen while I was eating.
When breakfast was over, everyone was looking at me strangely again as I helped clear the
table and clean the kitchen.
The kitchen staff looked a little uncomfortable, but they got on with their work and I got on
with mine.
I went back up to my room where I had a shower and I got dressed into a black sweater, jeans
and black boots.
When I went back downstairs I saw Maisie in the sitting room and she ran over and hugged
me as soon as she saw me.
“I hear your magic came in really handy while you were kidnapped.” She said.
“Yeah. It helped me get away, actually.” I said.
“That’s great. I am so proud of you.” She said.
“Thank you. If you’ll excuse me, there’s just something that I have to do.” I said.
“Sure.” She said.
So I walked down the hallway and I stopped at the door that led to the dungeon.
I took a deep breath before I opened the door and walked down the stairs.
I walked deep into the room and I saw that Rory and Camila weren’t chained to the wall anymore. They’d been put in separate cells against the wall and Xavier was lying in the third one along that wall.
“Well, look who’s back.” Rory spat at me.
“Do you want the bucket again?” I asked. So she shut up, not wanting to be splashed with

water that was full of liquified wolfsbane.
I turned to look at Xavier and he was lying on the dirty ground, clutching his stomach, sweating and in obvious pain.
“I heard about what she did to you.” I said.
“Get me out of here.” Xavier said.
“I’m not here to help you. I’m here to make sure that you can’t get out. If you stay down here
and slowly die because of what my mother did to you, then I’ll be sure to be here to watch.” I
said.
“You’re just as evil as her.”
“And yet, you tried to kidnap me so you could control me. Where’s the logic in that?” I asked.
“I didn’t know you were such a bitch.” He said.
“This isn’t me being a b***h. I can show you if you’d like.” I said. But he stopped talking and looked away. Obviously not wanting to see that I could be worse than my mother if I wanted to
- be.
I’m sure Rory and Camila have filled him in on everything I did to them for helping him.
“Did you just come down here to gloat?” Camila asked.
“I have nothing to gloat about. I just had to see for myself that you’re all still here. Where you belong. I hope you enjoy it down here, because if I get any say in it, which I probably will, you’re
never leaving this room.” I said.
I turned around and walked out of the dungeon.
I walked through the castle and out the front door and down the stairs to where the field was.
I saw a lot of people training and hanging around, but they hadn’t noticed me come down the
stairs.
So I managed to walk along the brick wall all the way to the forest without being seen. Well, if
they did see me then they didn’t say anything.
I was walking pretty quickly so they probably didn’t want to interrupt me.
When I got to the forest I could hear the warriors doing their patrol in the distance and I started pacing around where I was standing.
I had this feeling building up inside of me and I didn’t know how to explain it. I didn’t know what it was or why it was happening.

I just felt really uneasy and I didn’t know what was happening to me right now.
I was really confused and angry and pissed off. And I didn’t know why.
I was scared that I was going to hurt someone which is why I came to the forest. I can’t be around anyone right now.
The last time I felt a fraction of what this is then I managed to use a sonic blast that could have killed Lucas and Levi.
I started taking deep breaths and trying to calm myself down. But it was easier said than done.
I was actually scaring myself.
