CHAPTER 060

When I finally got out of the river I went back into the village and there were a lot more chores
that needed to be done around the place.
I didn’t hesitate in doing anything around the village and I helped out with as much as I could.
There were some people that were more standoffish than they previously had been, some
women that refused to come near me because they wanted the Alpha and there were some
that didn’t care at all and treated me the same.
I was happy about that and that night when we all sat down to eat dinner, Walker insisted that
I sat at the same chair across from him but I wasn’t saying a whole lot and a lot of the other
women were trying to get Walker’s attention.
They sat as close as they possibly could and they were talking over the people that were near them, just so Walker could hear them.
He didn’t get a chance to talk to me at all during dinner, which I guess I was alright with.
When dinner was over I got up and helped clean up like I always did.
I heard some girls giggling at one point so I looked over and two of them were talking with
Walker near his house, but he looked a little uncomfortable.
He looked over at me once but I kept doing what I was doing.
I have to admit though, I really wanted to beat those bitches into the ground.
I knew that they were doing it to get to me because they kept looking over to see if they were
getting a reaction out of me.
I could see them out of the corner of my eye, but I eventually moved around so my back was
to them so they would think it wasn’t working.
“Hey, are you okay?” Dahlia asked, walking up to me.
“Yeah. Why?” I asked.
“You just look distracted.” She said.
“Yeah. I’ve got a lot on my mind.” I said.
“I can imagine. Are you going to stay in my house tonight?” She asked.
“Yeah. I think that might be best.” I said.
“Alright. That’s no problem. I better go close up the barn and make sure all the animals are

inside.” She said.
When we finished cleaning up from dinner I walked across the village until I got to Dahlia’s
house and I went inside.
I sat on my bed staring across the room with a very faint light on from her lantern and I couldn’t help but wonder what Noah was doing right now.
Have they found Lucas and Xavier?
I hope they don’t kill Lucas. I know that he was involved with taking me, but he didn’t actually
have a choice.
I could see that when he tried to stop me in the woods. I could feel the power that had control
of him. He was definitely cursed and I was scared for him.
I didn’t know what was going to happen with Lucas.
Too much had happened between us. But Noah and I were pretty much a done deal.
I never thought another mate would come into the picture or that I would be so attracted to him so intensely.
Dahlia came to the house a little while after that and we sat up talking for a little while. But
we were just talking about other stuff and steering clear of the whole Alpha situation.
I didn’t want to think or talk about it anymore today, so when she turned the light off to go to
bed I was really happy to lay down and try to get some rest.
Little did I know that I would be tossing and turning for hours before I finally had enough and I
sat up.
Dahlia had a small window across her house and I could see that no one was out this late.
They had all gone to bed and I laid down again, trying to go to sleep.
But again, it wasn’t happening. And it didn’t help that Gemma was pacing around my head
and yelling at me while I was trying to sleep.
She was deliberately keeping me up and making me think about things that I didn’t want to
think about.
But she was relentless, no matter how many times I threatened to lock her away.
I didn’t know what time it was, but I finally got up and I crept across the house and opened the
door.
I saw a light was still on in the Alpha’s house, so I closed the door of Dahlia’s room and I made sure that everyone really were in their houses before I took another step.

It didn’t even feel like I was the one controlling my body right now.
I was just following the motions as I walked up to Walker’s house.
I opened the door and walked inside without knocking, closing the door behind me.
He was laying on his bed in a pair of shorts, looking really bothered as well. Just like I did when I was trying to go to sleep but I couldn’t manage to doze off.
He sat up when I walked in and when I didn’t say anything to me, he walked over to me and cupped the side of my face as he kissed me deeply and passionately.
I knew that this was Walker’s first time but I wasn’t going to emasculate him by taking over.
He lowered his hands until they were around my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck.
He turned me around and we started moving back towards the bed.
I let go of him briefly as I grabbed the bottom of my shirt and I pulled it off over my head.
I saw Walker looking down at my body before he slowed down a lot and he reached around to undo my bra and he dropped it on the ground.
He leaned forward to kiss me slower and gentler this time, pressing my breasts against his
chest.
He moaned into my mouth as our tongues danced around each other and he hesitated for a moment before he hooked his fingers on the inside of my pants.
I placed my hands on his and pushed my pants down onto the floor and I stepped out of them.
Walker gently lowered me down on the bed, leaning on one of his arms so his whole weight wasn’t on top of me while he was still kissing me.
His hand was roaming up and down the side of my body, causing me to moan as I reached down and I hooked my fingers around the top of his shorts and I used my feet to push them
down, and he kicked them off of the end of the bed.
“Emma.” Walker said, finally breaking as I was breathing really heavily.
“Yeah.” I said.
“You do know that I’ve never done this before.” He said.
“I know.” I said.
“You have?” He asked.
“Yeah. Only with Noah.” I said.

“Okay. I just thought I better make sure that you know.”
“Walker. I don’t care.” I said. So he leaned down and kissed me again.
I felt his massive erection pressing against my leg as he was still mostly on his side so his weight wasn’t on top of me.
