CHAPTER 038
Noah called for people to come and get Lucas and take him to the hospital but they were going to have to put restraints on him.
They wanted to take Noah as well, but he refused to leave the castle. He claimed that he could
take care of his own injuries. So they got Lucas out of there and we went back inside.
Noah walked through to the kitchen and he grabbed the first aid kit and he took his shirt off.
I looked at the deep s***h marks on his chest and he started trying to get a needle ready to
give himself some stitches. But I walked over and grabbed it off of him.
“Have you ever done this before?” He asked.
“Once or twice. Don’t worry. My parents made sure that I knew how to give myself first aid if I
ever got into a lot of trouble and needed it.” I said.
“Okay.” He said. So I started stitching up the first s***h.
“I’ve never seen anyone go crazy like that on a full moon.” I said.
“It happens. Not to many but it does happen when a male wolf is kept from his…” Noah
started to say but stopped himself.
“When they’re kept from their mate.” I said. And he looked up to look me in the face and I looked up at him. “Yeah. I know that he’s my mate. Just like I know that you are as well.” I
said, looking back to his chest and the stitches that I was giving him.
“I didn’t think you had a clue.”
“Well, I am my mother’s daughter after all.”
“I’m sorry
that I didn’t tell you. But after what those guys did to you, I wasn’t really wanting to hurt you again. Or make you think that I was lying to you if you didn’t feel the bond.”
“It’s alright. I know why you didn’t tell me. I haven’t had the best track record with guys.”
“No. You haven’t. And I hate both of those pricks for what they’ve done to you.” He said.
“I know. But it’s not up to you what happens to them.”
“I know. That’s why I haven’t killed them yet.” Noah said very sincerely.
I could tell that he would kill them if I asked him to. But I would never do something like that.
They are assholes, but they don’t deserve to die for that.

CHAPTER 038
As soon as I finished stitching up Noah’s wounds he looked impressed at the work and he put
his shirt back on.
“They should be healed by the morning.” He said.
“Yeah.”
“Well, it’s late. I think it’s time that you get some rest. It’s been an interesting night. A bit
eventful.” He said.
“Yeah. Just a bit.” I said.
So we went upstairs and I went into my room and I sat on my bed doing my homework that
had been sent to me but I was having a really hard time concentrating.
I started hearing the dragons outside my window.
I always knew that they were there, but they never usually gathered outside my room before.
I walked over to the window and Zidrith was the first dragon that I saw and then my mom’s
dragon and several others were holding on along the side of the building.
Zidrith stuck his nose into where I was standing and he sniffed around the dragonite that I had
around my neck.
He knew what it was and he started making soft soothing sounds for a dragon. He was happy.
I started rubbing the edge of his nose and he leaned into it without knocking me over.
I looked down at the pendant and it was pulsating again.
I looked out towards the town and I decided to grab on to Zidrith and he helped me climb onto
his back.
He flew in to the town and he landed in the field behind the hospital.
There wasn’t anyone around, but the dragons always caused a stir because they weren’t quiet.
“Go hide in the trees. I’ll sing out when I’m ready to leave.” I said. So he leaned down and I
rubbed his nose again before he flew into the forest.
I walked around the building and in the front entrance of the hospital.
Since it was so late, there weren’t too many people around.
I ended up finding where Lucas was and I was surprised to see that he was there alone. I
thought his family would at least be there, but they weren’t.
I walked through the door and I closed it behind me and closed the blinds so no one could see
in the room.

CHAPTER 038
Lucas was really badly hurt with a lot of wires coming out of him. He was receiving antibiotics
and a blood transfusion because he had lost so much.
I sat in the chair next to him and I stared at his face for a while.
I knew that he was going crazy during the full moon because I wasn’t allowing him anywhere
near me.
Even if we weren’t dating, just being near me would have made him calm down and he
wouldn’t have gone crazy like that.
He came to the castle looking for me. And he didn’t know what he was doing when he
attacked Noah the way that he did. It wouldn’t have happened if I wasn’t keeping him away.
I know that I shouldn’t be feeling guilty for any of this, but I couldn’t help it. I hated it.
This feeling when all I wanted to do was to hate him for what he did.
I took the pendant off of my neck and I held it in my hand as I held his hand.
The necklace started pulsating even brighter as I lowered my head and I started concentrating
on his battered body that was covered in blood soaked bandages.
I closed my eyes and I took a couple of deep breaths and I could feel the power moving from
me to the pendant and to Lucas.
It only took a moment when I felt Lucas‘ fingers start to move and I looked up and he had
opened his eyes.
He was looking at me and I looked down at his wounds, but they were covered in bandages so
I wasn’t sure if they were completely healed or not.
“How are you feeling?” I asked.
“I’m fine. There’s no pain.” He said.
“It worked.”
“Why did you do that?”
“Because I know that it’s my fault that you’re here.”
“It’s not your fault. If I didn’t do what I did then this wouldn’t have happened.” He said.
“Well, yeah. That’s true. It is your fault. But I know that you’re my mate and I’ve been keeping you away. I didn’t know that you were going to go crazy like this.” I said.
“I didn’t know that you
knew.”
“I do. Listen, we do have a lot to talk about but I have to get back home before they realize that

I’m gone.”
“Before Noah realizes that you’re gone?” He asked.
“He’s more to me than you realize as well.“.
“I had a feeling. Your mother has three mates. I’m waiting for the third one to show up.” Lucas said. But I rolled my eyes.
“I don’t think I could handle three.”
“Will you come back tomorrow?”
“I’ll try. You’ll probably be home tomorrow.” I said.
“I’ll call you.”
“Alright. I’ll try not to ignore it.” I said. And he smirked at me. “Just one more thing. Did you
know about Chloe and Levi?” I asked.
“What about them?”
“They’re mates? And apparently everyone knew but didn’t tell me.” I said.
“When the f**k did that happen? No one’s been talking to me either.”
“Okay. That’s all I needed to know.” I said.
So I left the hospital and Zidrith got me back home and helped me back into my bedroom
window.
I closed my window again and I started looking around the room, unable to settle down or sit
down.
I was feeling anxious and a little out of sorts. There was one thing on my mind. It was Noah. I
just had his face in my mind.
So I walked out of my bedroom and I went next door and knocked on the door.
“Come in.” Noah sang out.
So I opened the door and I walked inside to see Noah standing on the other side of the room wearing a towel after he just got out of the shower.
He stood there staring at me for a moment and I slowly closed the door behind me.
His face softened and I could tell that he had no control right now. Not over the mate bond or
over his own emotions right now.
I walked over to him slowly and when I got them I looked down at his rock hard chest that still

had the stitches in them but I softly ran my hand down his chest and when I looked up at him
I could tell that he was fighting with his wolf.
I moved my hand up and around the back of his neck before I leaned forward and I kissed him,
very softly.
Just as I pulled away, I looked up at his face and his eyes were changing color as he was fighting with his wolf.
He eventually wrapped his arms around my waist and he pulled me against his chest and he started kissing me, a lot more passionately and desperately.
