Luna’s gaze fell on Jade’s face.
She remembered when she first moved into the dorm. She was from a rural area, and the money borrowed from her village barely covered her tuition fee.
Even for that tuition fee, she had to pay hundreds in interest each month, and fearing she couldn’t repay it, she didn’t dare borrow more. When the semester started, she had only a few dozen dollars to her name.
She had no money left to buy daily necessities, aside from the old clothes and worn–out quilts she had brought from her village.
Just as she felt desperate and planned to wash her face with only water before class, Jade had bought her all the essential items. She had even gotten a bottle of laundry detergent, towels,
toothbrushes, and bathing products for Luna.
Afraid that Luna might refuse, Jade bought a set for everyone in the dorm and said it was a welcome gift for them all.
It wasn’t until a month later that Luna gradually realized that Jade had been helping her all
along.
Out of respect for Luna’s pride, Jade discreetly bought her things under the guise of gifts, including the meals she often treated Luna to at the beginning of the semester.
Luna slowly but surely got through those tough days. She started looking for part–time jobs, won a scholarship, and repaid the money she owed to her village.
Although she had given Jade a few gifts and often brought Jade snacks, she never forgot Jade’s kindness. She had always considered the ladies in the dorm as close friends until she joined
the team led by Wyatt.
At some point, she noticed a gradual change in the attitudes of the other three ladies in the
dorm.
However, since she was so focused on her seniors, she hadn’t realized this change. She merely assumed that it was because everyone was busy and neglected her.
Looking back now, she suspected that the change had something to do with Jade’s feelings for Wyatt. As she pondered, Jade had already flipped the diary halfway. “Don’t you like Wyatt?”
Jade looked up, clearly surprised.
“Who said I liked him?” Luna truly hadn’t developed any feelings for Wyatt.
In her past life, Ethan didn’t get his hands on her diary until years later–by then, she had already been worn down by several teammates and slammed with a negative internship

She was almost on the brink of a breakdown. It was at that moment when Wyatt found her, comforted her, and helped her get into the research institute where he worked.

It was the same research institute that Mia founded, which later became the country’s leading institute in cellular research. Other team members joined after graduation.
Luna didn’t know everything was part of Mia’s scheme and thought Wyatt genuinely cared for her. She wholeheartedly developed feelings for him, which was when she started admiring
him.
Wyatt and Mia had not yet confirmed their relationship, nor were they engaged then.
“No… No one said anything.” There was panic on Jade’s face. “I was just guessing!”
Jade didn’t believe Wyatt would lie, but Luna’s diary was legit. The entries had dates, documenting her feelings from the start until now.
‘Are you sure you don’t like Wyatt?” Jade still wanted to confirm.
Luna nodded. “I don’t like him. The diary already says it. I only feel gratitude and admiration for him because he helped me when I first entered college. He even brought me into Professor Hanley’s team.”
But that was all in the past. Now, all she felt for Wyatt was disgust and hatred.
Jade sighed slightly in relief, realizing how wrong she had been in her previous assumptions. She felt deeply guilty for misjudging Luna.
