The security guard’s words utterly stunned me. Could Grayson have kicked me out of the company
Before I could even wrap my head around this shocking news, Valeria Moroz entered the building with a confident stride She smirked, a sly lift at the corner of her lips, as she sauntered toward me. Slowly, she removed her oversized sunglasses. her gaze filled with smug satisfaction
“I can’t believe how the tables have turned. Last time we met, you had security escort me from Grayson’s office. I’ve been dreaming of returning the favor,” she sneered.
“What are you talking about?” I asked, my voice edged with confusion and disbelief.
She ignored my question, turning instead to the security guards nearby.
“Get this woman out of the building! Her command rang through the lobby.
The guards hesitated only briefly before moving to escort me out.
“What authority does she have to order this?” I demanded, my voice shaking with outrage.
Valeria’s smile turned sharp and menacing.
“It’s simple. I told Grayson I wanted to manage SummitGlow Talent. After all, I can’t do modeling forever. He initially refused, citing you were in charge.” She paused, letting her words sink in. “Isabella, my relationship with Grayson is far deeper than you think. Surely you know I’m living in one of his properties here in the city?”
Her words sent a chill through me, freezing my blood. The phrase “deeper relationship” echoed in my mind.

A cold numbness settled over me. Deep down, I had suspected that Grayson was playing with my emotions, but this?
This was ruthless!
I’m an actress by profession, but Grayson deserves an award for his performance.
Valeria’s laughter echoed behind me as I turned on my heel and stormed out of the building. My body shook with suppressed anger and heartbreak as I got into my car and headed straight for Grayson’s office.
I needed answers.
For days, I’d avoided confronting him. I had been consumed with taking care of Cassie, staying by her side in the hospital as she recovered. The only comfort I found was when the doctor finally said she could visit the beach.
But now?
When I arrived at Grayson’s office, his bodyguards–the same ones who had always treated me with respect–stepped forward, blocking my path.
“Ma’am Isabella, we’re sorry,” one of them said, his voice tinged with regret. “But these are the boss’s orders. You’re no longer allowed to enter any of his properties freely.”
His words cut deeper than I expected, leaving me standing there, stunned and betrayed.

The security guard’s eyes softened with sympathy as he nodded.
*Please tell him to face me! I need answers! I’m not leaving until I talk to Grayson or at least Eliot
I sank into a chair in the lobby.
Perhaps Grayson had finally decided to sever all ties with the Prescott family, including me. I tried to hold back my tears as pieced everything together.
The sharp ring of my phone cut through the silence, and I saw Sophia’s name flash across the screen. I was sure we both had the same question about what was happening at SummitGlow
Before I could answer the call, I noticed movement–Eliot stepped out of the elevator, holding a stack of documents. When Eapproached him, he wordlessly guided me to a small office.
As soon as the door closed, I couldn’t stop myself from speaking. “Eliot, please explain what’s happening. Why did Grayson suddenly change SummitGlow’s management?”
He let out a heavy sigh. “Ma’am, the boss has been drowning in difficulties lately–his brother’s situation, Ms. Charlotte Prescott’s disappearance, his need for isolation, and now. Grandma Blake’s passing.”
“What? Grandma is gone?” I gasped, my hand instinctively covering my mouth.
I had no idea! My mind flashed to my recent visit with her after the last time Grayson and I met at the hospital lobby. Grandma was frail, barely able to speak.
Eliot continued gently, “And I think he wasn’t happy about the divorce agreement you sent.”

A deep sadness crept into my voice. “Because we need to address it. I couldn’t wait forever or until the day he decides he
wants to return to me.”
As I spoke, guilt ate at me. Maybe it wasn’t the right time to send those papers, considering everything he was going through
But what about me? Don’t I have my struggles, too?
“All I ever wanted was to fix things between us. But I was wrong. I forgot how ruthless your boss can be.”
Eliot withdrew documents from his manila envelope, placing them on the table..
“Boss doesn’t agree with the terms in your draft,” Eliot said, “He’s made significant changes to the proposed terms.”
I didn’t ask for anything beyond what Grayson and I agreed upon in the prenuptial agreement. All I wanted was full control of SummitGlow Talent, but I never expected he would refuse to give me what I asked for.
He wanted to hurt me!
Grayson knew how much time and effort I poured into that agency. Was he so consumed by revenge that he chose to hurt me?
“Isabella.” Eliot said sadly. “The boss isn’t thinking clearly right now, which is why he’s acting like this. The pain of losing Grandma Blake, everything else that’s happened–it’s overwhelming him. Please consider this carefully.”
As tears ran down my cheeks, I signed the document stating he would give me five million and nothing more.
“Still, he chose to hurt me, Eliot…” I stood up and wiped the tears from my face. “Tell your boss I appreciate the five million.”

As I left the small office, I saw Grayson in the lobby, and our eyes
His appearance was cold, like a statue standing there.
“I signed the revised draft. Hope you have a great life ahead. Mr. Blake”

Once I left this building, I would erase him from my heart–a promise to myself 1 planned to keep
