Epilogue: Thank You
Samantha
Today was the day and I was so excited. We’ve been home for a week and a half, a lot has gone on. We got news that Tally and Davis are up for an award for best country duo. Davis was stoked, Tally faced timed me and when I told her, she squealed with glee. Her tour was doing great. They were starting the promotion for the movie that Ellora was in, and she was
having the time of her life with all the interviews. She was doing fantastic. The people loved
her.
Natalia got to do a week of The Phantom of the Opera as the lead because the actress that
was the lead got really sick and was out for the count. The critics and audience were
enamored by her. She was already getting offers from other directors that wanted to make
her the lead for their plays.
Dice, Twist, Flip and Cueball came back with the rest of the new brothers, followed by a
moving truck. Ice and Demon stayed behind. Dice said there was a development that Ice had
to take care of. Dashawn later told me that Ice found Ally and it wasn’t good. So he was
staying out there and he and Demon were trying to help her out of her situation. What that
situation was, no one knew. Ice wasn’t answering his phone and Demon just said they were taking care of it.
Tally called me a couple of times saying she couldn’t get a hold of Demon and I told her what I
knew. She was freaking out. I told her to concentrate on her tour. I would let her know of
anything I found out.
Today, Dashawn and I were finding out the s*x of our babies. I was vibrating in my seat as we waited to get called back to the room we would be in.
When we got called back, I quickly got ready for Doctor Adams. He came in all smiles. Dashawn and I held hands as the doctor gelled me up and put the transducer on my stomach. He took some measurements and clicked a few buttons. We heard our babies heartbeats that
never failed to bring tears to my eyes.
“Everything looks great. The babies look healthy, your fluids are fantastic, and do you want to know what you are having?”
“Yes,” we said at the same time, making the doctor chuckle.
“Looks like you have one of each. Baby A is a boy and baby B is a girl. Your boy is a little

bigger than she is, but I don’t see anything to be too worried about. It’s common for one baby
to be bigger than the other.”
He printed out pictures for us. You could see the little turtle between our baby boys legs, and I giggled uncontrollably. It really did look like a little turtle.
Doctor Adams left to give us a little privacy. Dashawn cleaned me up and helped off the table. He hugged me to him, and rocked me side to side.
“It looks like we have Alessia and Malik,” he said.
“Alessia Georgia Krew and Malik Hunter Krew,” I said.
“I love the names. The foundation for our house will be started this week. I need you to make sure the sizes of the kitchen, the bathrooms and all the bedrooms are the way you want them.
“Okay.”
When we got back from the appointment, Tawny and my mom whisked me away and took me
to my mom and dad’s new house.
Mom made tea and put out little sandwiches, and then they both sat across from me and
looked at me expectantly.
“What?” I asked innocently.
“Don’t you what me, young lady, Tawny and I want to know what you are having.”
“You don’t want to wait for the gender/baby shower?”
“No!” They both shouted, making me jump and chuckle.
“Okay, but you have to promise not to tell anyone. Not dad, not Rockstar, no one. Just you two, me and Dashawn will know. Which means one of you has to come up with a way to
reveal the babies to everyone.”
“Done, now tell us,” Tawny whined.
I smiled, “Dashawn and I are having a…” my phone rang, and I held up a finger, making Tawny
and my mom groan.
“Hi Nat.”
“Hey girl, so what are you having? Tell me, tell me. Oh, by the way, I’m pregnant.”
“WHAT! YAY! Our babies can grow up together! I can’t believe…”

“Samantha!” Tawny and mom yelled.
I grinned, “I am having a boy and a girl. Nat, you can’t tell anyone!”
They all squealed, which made me laugh.
“We are naming them Alessia Georgia and Malik Hunter,” I said.
“Oh, I love those names,” Tawny said.
“You’re naming her after your dad’s mom. He’s going to be overjoyed.”
“You can’t tell him. No one can know anything. I mean it,” I said.
They nodded. I chatted with Nat, she said she was six weeks pregnant. I told her everything was set for her bachelorette party. Dashawn and I would be in Paris in a week. I was told this
would be the last time I could fly.
Two weeks later after our trip to Paris where we saw Natalie get married to her Roger, we still
had no word from Ice. Talia was so discouraged, Demon hadn’t called or messaged her for six
days.
“I’ve left so many messages and voicemails. I don’t know what to do. I don’t think he’s interested in me anymore. The last time we talked he was so distracted. He was trying to help Ice with Ally. It sounded like she was strung out or something. I heard someone say ‘Demon I need you, it was a female voice. I didn’t recognize it. He said he was sorry, but he didn’t have a lot of time to talk to me. I just said, oh, sorry, I’ll talk to you some other time. And
then I hung up. I haven’t heard from him since. I don’t know if I can do this, Sam. I can’t keep getting hurt by his indifference anymore. I deserve what you, Dashawn, Resa and Crush have. With the way things are going, Shooter is going to ask Ciara to be his Old Lady and I just can’t be around all that right now. I think I am going to stay a while here in Boston after my tour.”
“Don’t make any rash decisions, Tally. We still don’t know what’s going on.”
She started sobbing, my heart broke for her.
“I can’t, Sam, I can’t do this anymore. He’s done nothing but break my heart all these years. 1 deserve to be happy, don’t I?”
“Yes, you do. He loves you, Thalia.”
“No, I don’t think so. You don’t ignore someone you love regardless of what you got going on.”
She wasn’t wrong.
“Just, don’t do anything you’ll regret, okay?”

“I’ve got to go. I have rehearsal in an hour and I need to stretch. Talk to you later girl.”
“Bye, little sister,” I said. I heard her start crying as she hung up.
F*ck, what is Demon thinking?
I found his contact and texted him.
I don’t know what is going on, but you’ve lost her. Whoever the woman is, I hope she is worth
- it.
Maybe I shouldn’t butt in, but I loved Tally. She wasn’t just my sister–in–law, she was one of my greatest friends.
I was halfway through my fifth month, I had brought Dashawn some coffee and told him about
my conversation with Tally and then what I did.
“Well, hopefully that gets him into action. I haven’t heard much. Ice, for some reason, is keeping whatever is going on to himself and Demon. It isn’t like them to do something like this. But I think I am going to talk to Crush to see if someone could go down there and check things out. He’s in charge, so it’s up to him. But we need to know something, unless he already
knows and isn’t allowed to tell the rest of us, which has happened before when the top three
kept something from the rest of us, until they were ready to share. But that’s only happened
once and at that time it wasn’t a big deal. And that was when Joker was VP. They were throwing a surprise birthday party for Papa B and the rest of us couldn’t keep a secret like that
for our lives.”
“This seems more serious.”
He nodded, “Well, hopefully something will give soon. I don’t want you to worry about it, you have to stay stress–free for our sweet peas,” he said, rubbing my belly.
Just then we both felt a thump. I gasped, he froze, his eyes going wide. He pressed a little harder and there it was again thump, thump.
“Oh my God, that’s one of our babies, or both of them,” I whispered.
I looked at Dashawn, and he had tears streaming down his face.
“Dashawn?”
“I’ve wanted to feel this for so long. Have you felt something before now?”
“Just little flutters, but I thought it was gas,” I said.
That made him chuckle.

Epilogue: Thank You
“This is fantastic. Now I can’t wait to see your tummy roll. I read that sometimes you can even see a body part if they push with a foot or a hand.”
“No,” I said, disbelieving.
“Yeah, really. It’s in that book I’ve been reading.”
I leaned in and kissed him. He was so excited. I was the luckiest woman in the world. I started here optimistic but hating the Christmas season because nothing but bad things. happened to me during that time. To having the best Christmas season ever in my life. I fell in love, got pregnant and married the man of my dreams.
“Dashawn, thank you for loving me.”
“Sweet Girl, thank you for letting me love you.”
