“What about this one?” I asked as I stood on the raised small stepping stage to look at the
dress I was wearing in the full length mirror.. I took a picture and sent it to Cia, Narissa,
Kimber, Resa and Tally. Who were either at work or out of state. All of them sent thumbs
down.
“I don’t think it’s your style,” Nat said.
Tawny and mom both nodded in agreement.
It was a mermaid style dress with a sweetheart neckline. There was intricate beading all over
it in a swirl pattern. It was pretty, but they were right. It definitely didn’t feel like it was me.
Nat walked off and started looking at the racks of dresses.
“Ohh, this one is very pretty. Try this, Sammy,” she said, walking over with what looked like a
very pretty dress. We’d been at this dress shop for two hours and not one of us have liked
anything we’d picked out.
I took the dress from her and went back to the dressing room, where the attendant helped me
out of the beaded mermaid dress.
“What type of dress did she pick?” I asked the attendant, Miriam.
“Well, it’s a cross between sweet and s*xy. It has a figure flattering lace bodice with an illusion plunging neckline. The bodice has a beautiful floral appliqué and a chiffon tea–length
skirt. At the middle and around the bottom are a band of Swarovski crystals,” she said.
She helped me put it on and my eyes widened. Seeing my reaction, she smiled widely.
“I have a claw clip, let’s put your hair up. Oh, and I have a tiara and some clip on chandelier faux diamond earrings. Be right back. She was gone in seconds and I stared at the dress. It was perfect. I had the perfect shoes at home. They were silver–heeled strappy sandals with crystal across the toes.
Miriam came back with the accessories and made me up.
“Okay, let’s go show your cousin and mamas.”
I walked out all smiles. Tawny and mama gasped. Both of them got instant tears in their eyes. Nat squealed and clapped. I had her take a picture for me, and she sent it off to the

others. My phone pinged over and over and all of them gave thumbs up and heart eye emoji’s.
“Well, this is it,” I said. I couldn’t stop looking at myself.
“It’s the perfect length for a just got hitched ride too,” Tawny said.
“But, I’m pregnant,” I said.
“I was too. Rockstar went really slow, and we only rode around the compound. You can do the
same.”
“Well, what about using Butcher’s trike?” my mama said.
“Oh, Georgia, that’s perfect. Butcher would totally do that.”
I smiled, “Does that mean we can go off the compound and ride along the winding roads and into the city?”
Tawny nodded, “As long as Dashawn says it’s okay.”
I gave her a wicked smile, “I’ll make sure he does.”
She scoffed and mom and Nat broke out into peels of laughter.
Thirty minutes later and twenty–seven thousand dollars poorer, we walked out of the bridal shop. The prospect that was driving us around, opened the back of the SUV, and laid my dress gently in the back.
“Ma’am, this was left on the windshield. I stepped away to go get a coffee and came back to
this.”
The prospect said, giving a manilla envelope to Tawny. She held it out to me. It had my name
on it.
“What do you think it is?” I asked.
“I don’t know, open it.”
I had a weird feeling that I didn’t want to open it. I could feel my body start to shake. Tawny, seeing my distress, took the envelope out of my hand and opened it herself.
“I’ll f*cking kill him myself,” she screeched.
“What, what is it?” I asked. Nat and mama scooted towards her and both gasped.
“No, don’t look at them,” Nat said, as I reached out for them. I looked at mama, she had tears streaming out of her eyes. Tawny was seething. Her hands were shaking and Nat looked at me with such sadness it broke my heart.

“Give me the pictures, Tawny,” I said.
She shook her head. I saw a piece of paper fall to the ground. I stooped and picked it up.
Wow, another betrayer. You just can’t catch a break with men. You should turn to women.
What the f*ck?
“Tawny, I need to see the pictures.”
She looked at me. Her eyes blazing with anger, she finally nodded and handed me two five by seven photographs.
I looked at the pictures. There was a naked man with Dashawn’s face with a pretty blonde–haired girl riding him. Her face half turned. I couldn’t really see her features, they were a little out of focus. But Dashawn was clear. I started laughing. I laughed so hard that tears were leaking out of my eyes. My belly hurt and I clutched at it. I’ve never laughed this hard in my life.
“Samantha, honey, are you alright?” my mom asked worriedly.
“Sammy, it’s okay. We can return the wedding dress,” Nat said.
“Sam, I’ll take care of it. His daddy and I will punish him for hurting you. We will make sure he pays.”
“No,” I said, gasping for breath. But then erupted into another round of giggles.
“I think she’s cracked,” Natalie whispered.
“She’s been hurt one too many times,” my mom said sadly.
“Sam, honey, please calm down,” Tawny said.
“You guys don’t understand,” I said, taking deep breaths.
I explained to them what Dashawn and I had been going through with the gifts and weird messages. Also, with what happened at Star Media.
“This has Avery written all over it. I bet you a million bucks that’s her. But that’s not Dashawn.
First, the body is all wrong. Sure, this guy is muscular, but Dashawn is more cut, there isn’t an ounce of fat on him. He is well–defined. Second, look at the guy’s chest. There’s no tattoo. Dashawn has a tattoo right here on his left pec that says My Sweet Girl Samantha, and lastly,
that’s not one of Dashawn’s s*x faces.”
I lost it again. This guy in the picture looked constipated. Whoever edited this, obviously didn’t realize I knew Dashawn’s body as much as I knew my own, and they didn’t know about

his tattoo.
“Oh, thank you, Jesus. I was about to kill my own flesh and blood,” Tawny stated.
“Why would Avery do this to you?” My mom asked.
་
“I don’t know, but I am going to get to the bottom of this.”
I took a picture of the photo and called Lyla.
“Hey, my favorite cousin–in–law.”
“Are you with anyone right now?”
“I just finished up with a bunch of weak a*s b*tches in training, and I’m about to go see your man.” I heard a lot of f*ck you’s and Lyla chuckled.
“I need you to handle that situation I asked you about. I’m sending you a picture. I am now wanting to hurt someone.”
I sent her the picture and waited for her reaction.
“What in the f*ck! I am going to hurt him. I hope you don’t like his fingers too much, I’m going
to break them.”
“It’s not Dashawn.”
“It sure as f*ck looks like him,” she said quietly. So quiet that she scared the bejesus out of
- me.
“It’s not Lyla, I swear. Dashawn has a tattoo of my name on his chest. Someone
photoshopped his face on another man’s body. I am pretty sure the girl in the picture is Avery.”
“That tattoo just saved his a*s.”
“Even if there wasn’t a tattoo, I would know that it wasn’t Dashawn. The body is all wrong, the face he’s making is all wrong, and I know my man would never do something like that to me. He’d cut off his own d*ck before he’d betray me.”
“You seem to have a lot of faith in him,” she said. I could hear the soft smile she was most likely making.
“I do. I know he loves me. He would never hurt me like that.”
“Okay, I’ll call Dashawn now and cancel with him. I’ll have that girl trussed up soon. Wait for my call.”
She hung up, and I felt immense satisfaction that I was about to get some answers soon.

“All taken care of. Nothing to worry about. Let’s go eat.”
I sent the picture to Dashawn.
So, I got this today. I find it hilarious that this is the plan she was going with. That’s clearly not your body, and no tattoo. And the facial expression ugh.
My Bada’s Biker: God, I love you. I got this today, it’s obviously Avery, and the body is Elliot.
The picture he sent me had me seeing red. So she wanted him to think I was f*cking Elliot.
Did Elliot know she was doing this? How did they even meet again? Just more questions for
me to ask her.
I enjoyed the rest of the day with my cousin, future mother–in–law and my mother. But I was
impatient. I kept checking my phone to see if Lyla sent me a message or if I, for some reason,
missed her call. But I hid it from my company. I didn’t want my mom and Nat worrying about
me, and I am sure Tawny would encourage me to do more than talk. Honestly, I think I just
might.
