Chapter 57: Do Tell, Giselle
Liz
We lay in our embrace for a while, before we got up and showered. He decided to go into the
office a bit earlier, so that he could get a few things done, before his meeting with Giselle. And
I have some things I want to discuss with Toby, so it’s a win–win.
We head out and stop at a bistro for breakfast. I had a craving for pancakes and there is a
bistro near the park that makes the best bacon pancakes. Obviously, Ricardo was with us. We
aren’t allowed anywhere alone. He stays with us during the day and Brady is on duty at night.
After we had our fill of pancakes, we went to Zander’s office. I immediately sat down with Toby
to discuss his ideas, he messaged me. I called Felicia from the lottery office, and like I
expected, they wanted to do a follow–up story and a photo shoot. I also called Vance, and he
was over the moon, and agreed to help. He also dabbles in event planning, so he is coming by
in a few minutes to help us plan.
Robyn couldn’t get off work, but she video calls and sends ideas and pictures. I have to admit, I never thought I would enjoy planning a party this much. Zander gave us an empty office to
work in, and we got a lot done. Vance is really good at this, and so is Toby.
At 11:50, we walked Vance out and then headed to Toby’s desk. Only then, did he decide to tell me that it was Giselle’s old office we used. I am sure that would have gone down well if she saw me taking over her old office, and Toby agreed. Not that I care about her or what she thinks and says. I then headed to Zander’s office and found him still working.
“Are you still surviving?” I asked Zander as I walked into his office. “Barely, I need my Liz fix. You have been gone too long,” he says, coming over and pulling me into his arms. “Oh please, you’ve been so busy you didn’t even notice when I peeked in earlier to check on you,” I say, rolling my eyes and he chuckles.
་
“I did notice, I always do. It was at exactly 10:38, and I was on a call with Mr Dixon from ED Pharmaceuticals,” he says; and I smile. He actually did notice, he really pays attention to everything I do. “Fine, I’ll take it back. Maybe when you finish your meeting with kitty Giselle, I can make that other fantasy of yours a reality,” I say with a mischievous grin.
“Kitty Giselle?” he asks, amused. “Yeah, you know that kitty has claws, and she isn’t afraid to use them,” I say, and he chuckles and shakes his head. “Okay, enough about her. Which fantasy are you referring to? I have many that feature you and this very office,” he says. “Me under your desk, with your d**k in my mouth,” I say and he smiles broadly. “Why not while I

have my meeting with her?” he asks.
“Hell no, that is next level weird Zander. When you are on a call, it’s okay because they can’t see me or you,” I say and he laughs loudly. “I was just kidding, my Liz. Do you really think I would let anyone see you like that? Though, it would make for a fun and entertaining meeting” he says, and we both chuckle.
“I am sure she will really try to kill me,” I say. “I would never allow her hurt you,” he says, and I smile. “Can I use your bathroom quickly? I drank way too much coffee,” I ask, and he nods.
When I head inside, I hear his desk phone ring and he answers. “Okay, bring her in,” Zander says. “She’s here.” he yells after me when he hangs up.
My bladder chose the wrong moment, but I will be quick. “I will be right out,” I yelled back. I do
my business and wash my hands before I head back into the office. I don’t trust that b***h
anywhere near Zander. He is sitting behind his desk, and she is standing in front of it, acting
all seductive. I just rolled my eyes and walked around the desk to Zander’s side and sat on the
arm of his chair.
“Giselle,” I say in greeting, and she looks at me with the most venomous glare I am sure she
could muster. “Down kitty,” I say, and that just pisses her off more. “What is she doing here?
This is a private meeting,” she says through gritted teeth. “This is my office, and she is my
fiancé. You are not my client, so there is nothing private about this meeting.
I allowed you this meeting so you would stop harassing my staff. Now state your business
and leave,” Zander says in a weirdly calm, but scary tone. “I need to speak to you in private
Zander, it’s important,” she pleads. “I don’t wish to be alone with you. I don’t trust your motives.
And it seems like you are here to waste my time,” he says.
“No, please, it’s important and private. Please Zander, after everything I have done for this firm,
you can at least give me a few minutes of your time,” she says. “It’s okay, I will go get us some
coffee,” I say and get up, and he nods and pulls me down for a quick kiss. “Don’t be long,” he
whispers against my lips and I nod. “You have exactly 5 minutes,” he says to her.
She glares at me as I leave and I chuckle. “You better behave kitty, you don’t want to see
whose claws are sharper,” I say, and wink at her as I leave. I know I am antagonizing her, but I
just can’t seem to help myself. She is so easily rattled, and she did start first.

The minute Liz leaves, Giselle goes back to whatever it was she was trying earlier. She bends
over my desk, giving me a show of her cleavage. “Sit down and say what you came to say, Giselle. I have work to do. Whatever this is that you are trying to do, won’t work,” I say,

“Zander, what could you possibly see in that woman? She has no class, she is uncultured and
rude, and she doesn’t even have a job. I am a much better fit for you. We go way back Zander,
you know me,” she says. “Firstly, Liz has more class than someone like you will ever have.
Secondly, I have known her longer than you and I don’t think I ever knew the real you. And lastly, she will have a job soon. And when she becomes my wife, she will be co–owner of this
firm. She doesn’t need to work, because she has me to look after her, and more money than
you would make in your lifetime. She is a billionaire in her own right.
She just took her bar exam, and soon she will be a practicing attorney, because it’s her
passion. You know nothing about her, or me for that matter,” I say and she frowns. “But she
was a housewife, and she couldn’t even hold onto her husband,” she says.
“Because her ex–husband wanted her to be, and he wasn’t worth holding onto anyway. I met
Liz in college. We took the same course. Her LSAT score was higher than mine by two points
and higher than yours by fifteen. So are you sure you want to continue with your baseless
comments?” I ask and her eyes widen.
“Why are you here, Giselle?” I ask, getting very annoyed by her presence. All she has done
since she came here is piss me off. “I don’t want to lose you, Zander. We could be so good
together. The firm will flourish with the two of us at the head,” she says, and I frown.
“Just as I expected, you are here to waste my time. Please leave Giselle, before I have you
removed,” I say. “Wait Zander, there is more,” she says pleading. “I am not interested in more of your bullshit.” I say. “It’s about your friend, Martha. She isn’t who she says she is. I am
surprised you didn’t figure it out long ago. I have known for more than a year,” she says, thinking she gained my attention.
“I already know about Martha. There is an arrest warrant out for her,” I say, and her eyes widen. “How did you know?” she asks. “She tried to abduct Liz. Now, please leave,” I say. “If you give me one more chance and leave that b***h and be with me, I will tell you where to find Martha.”
she says with a smirk.
I sent a quick text to agent Perez, and he responded immediately to say that he is on his way up. That’s perfect, just what I need. His timing is as impeccable as always. “Why won’t you just tell me where she is? You are obstructing justice if you don’t,” I say. “I won’t tell you unless you agree to my demands. I have nothing to lose. I want you and I won’t give up without a fight,” she says, and I chuckle.
“On the contrary, Giselle. You have a lot to lose. Your freedom, your license, and your

reputation. Will you tell me, or will you continue with your bullshit?” I ask and she glared at
- me. “Give me what I want, and I will give you what you want. If you don’t, Martha won’t be the
only one you have to protect that woman against. And believe me, I won’t be as careless as
Martha,” she says.
“Wow, you actually have the balls to threaten me, when you expect me to accept you. I can’t even stand to look at you or hear your voice. You are not the woman I first hired. I will give you one last chance to save your reputation. Will you tell me where to find Martha?” I ask and she crosses her arms stubbornly. “No, I won’t. Martha will come for that b***h and I hope she kills her, it will make things so much easier for me,” she says, and I shake my head and nod to
agent Perez.
“Did you get all that? She knows where Martha is but refuses to say. She openly threatened me, as well as Liz’s life. I would like to press charges and get a restraining order.” I say, and her

“Oh, I forgot my manners. Giselle, this is agent Perez from the FBI’s white–collar division. He is heading up the investigation into Martha and her cartel. He is very interested in the information you don’t want to share with me,” I say, and Giselle jumps up. “FBI?” she whispers
wide–eyed.
“Yes, Zander was very clear. For such an educated girl, you aren’t very bright, are you? You keep falling into the same trap. Don’t you know by now that someone is always listening in or recording? This is the 21st century kitty cat,” Liz says as she comes walking into my office.
