After I confirmed with my own ears and eyes that Liz was okay, we sat down to eat. Liz told me what happened, and I was so proud of her. She really paid attention to everything I taught her. I was pissed that she was in danger. The woman had a gun for f**k’s sake. But I am just
glad she is okay.
Agent Perez and Ricardo handled the intruder and also Keira. The tracker is live, and they have eyes on Keira too. They will stake out where she leads them too, until they know Martha is there. Then they will do the raid. We can’t risk her getting away again. She is too big a threat, and not just to us. Her whole organization needs to be stopped.
The fact that she got someone to come after Liz like this, means that there are more of them still out there. But I will know more after they question the woman Liz knocked out. My Liz has grown so much since I met her. I knew she would find that inner strength that I saw in her. I
am so proud to call her mine.
Dinner was great and the conversation and company was even better. Liz pointed out something I had never noticed before. Chris and Toby, enjoying each other’s company, and if I am not mistaken, they seem to be flirting. I wonder if Chris is the guy Toby mentioned. If he is, he gets my stamp of approval. I know Wayne will agree because he knows Chris too.
After dinner, we danced and mingled and maybe drank too much champagne. Liz looked a bit tipsy, so no luck for me tonight. I mentally chuckle as I remember that first night I thought I would get to make love to her. She passed out right before she was going to give me a blow
job.
I had to jerk myself off yet again. Seems like tonight will be the same, but that’s okay. We have a lifetime together, and I can be very patient when I need to. I steady her, as we say our goodbyes to everyone. The party was still going full steam, but my Liz needed to get to bed.

one day when Liz and I are blessed with children, that they will think of me as their hero too.
I smile at myself, at my thoughts. Seems like I am ready to start a family. But first, we need to rid ourselves of the danger we are facing. We can’t bring a child into the equation when there is still a threat out there. I need to keep Liz and everyone I call family safe. They are all at risk.
Martha isn’t just any foe, she was so integrated into our lives that she knows who I hold dear
to me. Luckily, Dom came to get Rosa, and they are visiting family in Spain for the next month.
Hopefully, when Rosa gets back, we have caught Martha already.
I tuck Liz into bed, before I grab a quick shower. Waiting always gets me on edge, and I don’t know how long they will stake out the place Keira leads them to. Agent Perez also didn’t get much information from David or Horis. This is so frustrating. I just want to know what really happened to my parents‘ accident.
I just stepped out of the shower when my phone buzzed, alerting me to a message. I immediately checked it, and I was shocked, to say the least. Kyle was attacked in his cell
again. He was stabbed multiple times, and he didn’t make it. I immediately call Chris. “What
happened?” I ask when he answers.
“The guy in the cell next to him called the guards when he heard Kyle’s screams. They have
the man that stabbed him, and after some questioning, it turns out he was paid by Martha to
silence him. Looks like she is cleaning house. He obviously knew too much, and he was set to testify in Horis’s trial.
There is more, Zander. They didn’t just go after Kyle, but Elaine, Tiffany and five of the cartel
members we caught. It was definitely planned and well coordinated. Tiffany is in critical
condition, but Elaine got away with minor stab wounds. Her cellmate actually helped her. Who
knew she could make friends?
Two cartel members didn’t make it and three are critical. They were all stabbed at the same
time,” Chris says. “Then she really is trying to get rid of witnesses. f**k Chris! We have to get
her. I can’t let her get to Liz,” I say in frustration. “We have enough men on the grounds, she can’t get to her.
We just have to be extra careful now. It isn’t just Liz I am worried about. It’s you too, and
Robyn, Toby, Wayne and Rosa. She knows who you care about, Zander. I have a feeling she will
go after all of them. I am not sure if she knows that Vance and Mark now form part of your
inner circle, so I think we need to have someone watching each of them too.
I have already spoken to Perez and Commander Carlson. Ricardo and I are working with them
to ensure that everyone has protection. Is it okay if Robyn comes to stay with you until it’s

safe? Toby agreed to come stay with me, so I will keep him safe. I will have someone guard him when I have to help Perez,” Chris says, and I can’t help but smile.
“Robyn is always welcome and so is Toby. You like him, don’t you?” I ask. “Now, really isn’t the time, Zander.” he answers and I chuckle. “I agree, but at least let me go to sleep with a smile on my face,” I say and he chuckles. “Fine, yes, I more than like him. He doesn’t know that yet, so keep your mouth shut,” he says, and I smile.
“I knew it, I won’t say anything. But if I am not mistaken, the feeling is mutual. Tell him how you feel. You will be pleasantly surprised. Life is short, my man. Grab it by the balls, or him.” I say, chuckling. “You are such an ass, but thank you for the advice. Now go to bed, I will let you know the minute I have more to report,” he says, hanging up, while I shake my head. I am sure
he is blushing right now.
“Damn it Martha. You really are psychotic.” I mutter out loud. So many deaths. I hope Liz will be okay. Kyle may have been a douche, but he was her husband for three years and she loved him. That b***h Martha will pay for everything she has done and for all the lives she has
ruined.
I got into bed next to Liz and pulled her into my arms. She doesn’t even stir, she is ‘lights out‘, as they say. I know this is Robyn and Vance’s doing. Those two were just as tipsy as Liz is. But I am glad they enjoyed themselves. At least I know they are all safe..
I wake up early, but Liz is still asleep. I didn’t get much sleep, but I couldn’t stay still any longer. I gently removed Liz from my arms and got up. I need a run, or maybe a swim. I just need to clear my head. I leave a note for her so that she doesn’t panic when she doesn’t see
- me.
I put on my swimming trunks and headed to the outdoor pool. The fresh air and cold water will do me good. It will also help with my morning wood. After a few laps, I headed to the edge for some water. I grab the bottle and see Liz walking over in her bathing suit looking very sexy.
“Morning my Liz, you are up early,” I say. “Morning Zander, I got your note, so I thought I would join you,” she says, sitting down on the edge. She dips her toes in the water and scrunches her face and I have to chuckle. “We can go to the indoor pool if you want. The water here is very
chilly in the morning,” I say.
“Okay, let’s go.” she says and gets up. I get out of the pool, and she hands me a towel. We head inside and both get into the pool. “How drunk was I?” Liz asks me when we are in the water and I pull her into my arms to kiss her. “Like that first failed attempt at a blowjob, and
you passed out, kinda drunk.” I answer and chuckle.

“You are never going to let me forget that, are you?” she asks. “Never,” I say, and kiss her. “I am going to get those two bitches. They kept giving me glass after glass. I swear Robyn is Vance’s spirit animal or something. They are the freaking same.” Liz mumbles and I can’t help
but chuckle.
We swim for a few laps, before we both stop for a drink of water. “So what happened after I passed out?” she asks while we both float on the water. “Nothing much at the party, but I do have some bad news,” I say, standing up in the water and moving to the ledge. She joins me
and I pull her into my arms.
“Martha put a hit out on all the witnesses in Horis’s trial. Three are dead, four are in critical condition and one has minor stab wounds,” I say. “Who? Do I know any of them?” she asks in shock. I nod and swallow before I answer. “Elaine has minor stab wounds, but her cellmate helped her. Tiffany and three cartel members are in critical condition. Kyle and two cartel members didn’t make it.” I answered and her eyes widened.
“What? He’s dead?” she whispers. “Yes, by the time the guards got to him, it was too late,” I say, moving her wet hair out of her face. “That is so sad. I know I ended up hating him, but I would never wish for anyone’s death,” she says, staring past me. “I know, it’s okay baby,” I say,
and kiss her forehead.
I hold her in my arms for a while until she moves out of my hold and looks at me. She didn’t cry, she just looked like she was in a daze. “I need a shower and something to eat. I don’t feel so good,” she says. I help her out of the pool and wrap her up in a towel, before I pick her up
and carry her to our room.
I only put her down when we are in the bathroom. She seems to be in a daze and lost in her
thoughts.
