“You will never guess where they were found,” he says. “Where?” I ask. “At home. They actually went back to Elaine’s place.” He says and I chuckle. “Not the brightest sparks, but they did manage to evade the authorities for a while.” I say and he chuckles.

“Remind me,” he says. “It’s the day you walked back into my life.” I say and he smiles. “More
like I walked through your door, but you know what I mean.” I say chuckling. “I like it, the 20th
of December it is. That was also the day my heart found its way back to me. It has always
been with you,” he says.
“Why are you always so sweet?” I asked him, feeling a little emotional as I swallowed the lump that formed in my throat at his words. He will be taking me and waiting for me to complete the exam. He really has the patience of al
saint. He is just as excited as I am, and I love how supportive he is. He truly is an amazing guy, and I am the luckiest girl in the world to have him. He comes out of the bathroom when I am still busy with my curls and goes to get dressed.
When I am done, I put on my shoes and wait for him. He walks out looking so handsome in his suit. He looks at me and stops in his tracks. “You look hot.” He says and I chuckle. “Thank you, you have excellent taste as always.” I say and turn so he can have the full effect.
“Now I feel like I want to keep you at home. No one should see you looking this sexy.” He says
when he walks over. He takes his index finger and runs it from my neck, right down to my
cleavage that is partially on display. “Hopefully all the men will be too nervous about the exam
to be looking at these.” He says as he traces his finger over my breasts.

“Let’s go, before you get any ideas,” I say and he chuckles. I grab my bag and we head downstairs. I am too nervous to eat, but I know I have to. The exam is supposed to be split
over two days, with 6 hours of writing each. They do allow a full sitting, but it’s hard and stressful. Zander doesn’t want me to do a 12–hour stint, and I agree. My brain will explode.
I will write for six hours today, and then I will do the other six hours tomorrow. But Zander said if I can ace today’s exam, then I will definitely pass. We write for three hours, and then they give us an hour’s break to eat, but they serve us food. We aren’t allowed to leave the exam
room. Then we write the next three hours and tomorrow will be the same.
We pull up to the exam center, and I am really starting to feel nervous now. “Relax, you got
this, my Liz.” Zander says, taking my hand. I nod and, square my shoulders. “You are right, I
can do this,” I say. He gets out and opens my door and offers me his hand.
I gladly take it and get out. We headed inside, and I stood in line to sign in. Zander gives me a kiss for good luck and then goes to the waiting area. I head inside when I am told to and take the seat assigned to me. I look around at everyone and most of the people in the room with
me are younger than me.
They are probably recent graduates. There is an older gentleman who looks to be in his fifties. Good for him, you are never too old to learn something new or to follow your dreams. We are
handed our papers and when we are instructed to, we start.

I flip my question paper over and take a deep breath before I start. I look at the first few
questions and smile. You got this, Liz, this is what you studied so hard for. This is for me and this is for my dad. I picked up my pencil and started answering the questions.
After a while, I look at the time and see I am already an hour in, but the time feels like it just flew by. I just answered the last question on the page I was working on, when the lights went out in the room. There are no windows in here, so there is no natural light shining in. It’s pretty
dark in here now.
“Don’t panic everyone, the emergency lights will kick in soon. Please remain seated.” One of
the invigilators said. I put my pencil down and tried to look around, but it was so dark, I
couldn’t see much. I can basically just see the people seated the closest to me.
A minute or two passes, but the lights don’t come back on. The murmurs start, as everyone
starts to worry. I won’t lie, I am starting to worry too. “Please remain seated. Help will arrive
soon.” The same invigilator says. The murmurs don’t die down, they seem to get louder.
I felt someone brush against my back, so I looked behind me. There was no one, so I faced the
front again. I feel someone put their gloved hand over my mouth and I try to scream, but it’s
muffled. I get ripped out of my chair and I feel someone put their arms around me in a rough
way, and hold me from behind.
Hell no, this is not happening. No one is taking me against my will ever again.
