We continue to watch the video and I can see that Clara was trying to hold back her emotions.
“Then Zander moved back to his parents‘ home with his new girlfriend, who is now his fiancé,
named Liz. Martha then approached me again and when I refused to help, she resorted to the
same tactics. I had no choice but to comply.
I gave her information about where Liz would be and when. She planned on taking Liz hostage to get to Zander. But then the FBI got involved, and she blamed Liz for her plans going south.
She now wants to kill Liz to punish her and Zander. I have video proof of Martha admitting
that she killed Victor and Rhea. It is on a memory card, taped under the bed in the panic room.
Zander will know where.
I am truly sorry to Zander and Liz. I have come to love both of you, and you don’t deserve my betrayal or what Martha has planned. Do not trust David, he isn’t who he says he is. He helped kill your parents and I overheard him and Martha talking about the murder of Rhea’s parents. Everything she is doing, centers around their death. That is what started Martha on her path
of revenge.
I know you will figure it out, Zander, you are a brilliant man. Please forgive me for letting you down when you were nothing but good to me. I ran away for my own safety, after I received news that my son was found dead due to an overdose. I know it was Martha’s doing, because
she asked me to poison Liz, but I refused.
The poison is in a perfume bottle in my top drawer. I left it there for evidence. Her fingerprints as well as mine are on there. I hope you can use that as evidence too. Keep Liz safe, she is a good person, you both are. You don’t deserve this. Goodbye.” She says, and the video stops
there.
“I don’t even know what to say. What does my grandparents‘ murder have to do with this? Their killer was killed in prison.” I said. “I think the only way to get answers is to get to Martha. But for now, give me a few minutes to get David. He may have answers for us too. I can’t believe that fucker is in on it, he is such a cool guy.” Ricardo says and I nod my head.
David is our groundskeeper and Ricardo is right, he was a cool guy. Now he is just another traitor. “I am going with you, in case he tries to run.” I say, and he nods. We headed to his quarters and knocked on his door. Ricardo shows me that he is going to the back in case he jumps through the window.

Chapter 54: What A Revelation
David doesn’t answer immediately, so I knock again. “David, I know it’s late, but there is a
problem down at the lake. I need your help please.” I yelled through the door. “Coming sir,” he
yelled back. I hear him shuffle around in the room before he opens the door in a t–shirt and
sweatpants.
“What’s wrong sir?” he asks. I must look a sight in just my boxers, I never walk around like this here. “Can you please come help me with something?” I ask and he nods and closes his door.
I lead him to the lounge and as soon as we enter, Ricardo grabs him and handcuffs him.
“What’s going on sir?” David asks with wide eyes. He actually looks shocked, maybe because
he thought we would never catch him. “You know what’s going on David. There is no use in
keeping up with this act, it will only piss me off more.” I say. “Tell us where Martha is, and I will
go easy on you.” Ricardo says, still holding onto David.
“I don’t know what you are talking about. Please sir, he is hurting me.” David says, pleading
with me. f**k, I hate this. He genuinely looks confused, but I have been fooled by my own staff
too many times. “We know you are working with Martha, David. Clara already confessed
before Martha killed her. Her body was just found.
She will get rid of you next if you don’t help us stop her,” I said. He looks at me and I watch
how his demeanor changes. He stands up straight and stops struggling to get free. “She
would never kill me. Clara, yes, because she was useless. Martha would never kill her family.”
He says, sneering at me.
How could I have missed this? Now that I look at him, he bears a slight resemblance to Horis.
Could they be brothers? Mother fucker, the whole f*****g family has infiltrated my life. But
why? “Are you Martha’s brother?” I ask and he chuckles.
“How did you guess?” he asks, smiling wickedly. “You look like Horis. I never picked it up before. Why is your family trying so hard to end mine? What have we ever done to you?” I asked. “The fact that you don’t know, proves how clueless and trusting you are. This is all your parents‘ fault. Sins of the father do befall the son, and you will pay for what they did.” He
sneers.
“What are you talking about? What did my parents do?” I ask. “They killed our father,” he says simply and I frown. “My parents were anything but murderers. Why would they kill him? And
who is your father anyway?” I asked. “My father’s name was George Adamos.” He said and my
eyes widened.
That is the name of the man that brutally murdered my grandparents. So that means that he is also Martha and Horis’s father. “I still don’t understand why you want me to pay. Your father

brutally murdered my grandparents, and somehow you think that we are to blame?
I didn’t put that machete in his hand and neither did my parents. He killed them and mutilated their bodies by choice. If the sins of the father befall the son, then I should f*****g kill you and your siblings, shouldn’t I?” I say through gritted teeth. “No, you and your family are to blame
for our father’s demise.” He says and I just shake my head.
“Do what you must, Ricardo. I am not wasting my time listening to this lunatic. His reasoning
isn’t normal, so insanity must run in the family. See what information you can get from him
before you hand him over. Knock him out when you are done. We can’t risk him getting away.”
I say, and Ricardo nods.
I turn around and walk away, while David yells for me to come back. I won’t listen to more of
his bullshit. There is no justifying their actions or their fathers. There is no reasoning with a
fool. I entered my room and closed the door. I rest the back of my head against the door and
slide down and sit on the floor.
My parents were killed for a reason that doesn’t make sense. We were wronged in the first place, but yet they believe the opposite. This is so f****d up. I can’t believe there are people
that are wired to think that way in this world. Now they are after the love of my life.
They want to take everything away from me before they kill me. All because of something their sick father did, and didn’t get away with. I lift my head and look at Liz as she peacefully sleeps on my side of the bed. I have lost too much already. I won’t lose her too.
I sent a quick message to Chris to tell him Ricardo has David. I got up and went over to bed and looked at Liz. “I won’t let them hurt you. You are my reason for breathing and I will give my life for yours. I love you, my Liz.” I whispered and kissed her softly on her pouty lips. She always pouts in her sleep and it’s so cute.
I put my phone down on the nightstand and got into bed next to her, and pulled her into my arms. I close my eyes and try to get some sleep. I wake up when my alarm goes off and hear the shower is on, so I know Liz is up. I didn’t have a good night’s sleep at all. My dreams were filled with images of my parents and grandparents dying. I never remember my dreams, and I
hate that I remember these.
Liz comes into the room in only a towel and smiles brightly when she sees me. Even though I am exhausted and sad, I can’t help but return her smile. Just seeing her smile always brightens my mood. “Good morning, my Liz. You look ravishing this morning.” I say, and she giggles and comes over to kiss me.
“Good morning, my Zander.” She says before she bends down and kisses me. “Got ya,” I say as

I pull her down on top of me and she giggles. “Behave, I need to get ready for day two.” She says trying to get up. “Give me a proper kiss, then you are free to leave.” I say and she smiles
and kisses me.
I deepened the kiss and I really wish I could just get lost in this moment and in her, and forget all my problems. When I break the kiss, she looks at me in concern. “How are you feeling? You didn’t sleep well, and you were mumbling in your sleep.” She asks.
“I am fine, I will tell you all about it after your exam. Now go get ready before I make my way with you and make you late,” I say, and she chuckles and gets up. “You better tell me what’s going on, or you can enjoy sleeping in the guest room tonight. I am sure you still know how to use your hand,” she says.
“Ouch, that was very uncalled for, my Liz. I actually don’t know how to use my hand anymore, maybe you can give me a refresher.” I say and she chuckles and shakes her head. “Fiend!” she yells as she walks to the closet to get dressed. I love that woman, she always brightens my
mood.
I will tell her everything, I just don’t want to worry her before her exam. She needs to focus and not stress about things she can’t control. None of this is her fault and I won’t allow it to disrupt her plans and goals. I checked my phone and saw a few messages from Chris and
Ricardo.
I called Ricardo first to hear what he did with David. He is supposed to accompany Liz while
she writes her exam. “Morning Zander,” he says when he answers. “Morning Ricardo, what happened?” I ask. “Agent Perez came to collect him for questioning. Call Chris, he is looking you. I am busy getting ready to go with you.” Ricardo says. “Thanks, see you soon.” I said
and hung up.

I sent Chris a message to let him know I would call him after I dropped Liz off. I can’t risk her listening in. I get up and grab a quick shower, before I get dressed. Liz looks beautiful as always in a dress I bought her. When we are both done, we grab breakfast before we head out.
