It didn’t matter that the Alpha’s eyes shone like a roaring fire as he watched me. Or that! could see the tip of his fangs beneath his slightly parted lips. I didn’t care that last night’s incident could repeat itself, and there was no one here to intervene.

I shook my head to clear it. Dawn was fast approaching.

The screaming came again, furious, unrelenting.

He was far outside the gate, no doubt. No guard would tolerate that within.
