“Stop! Don’t go near her!” 

Elise pointed a warning finger at the two guards. 

“Crap!” Lorenzo cursed under his breath, both hands moving quickly hide the bulge on his 

pants. 

“What the bloody hell did you eat, Miss James? You have a child. This can’t just happen!” 

Elise asked. 

The girl’s eyes glinted. Her grip on her purse was too tight. Beads of sweats trickled down her forehead, falling into her cleavage. Her thighs were pressed firmly together as she lowered her eyes in mortification. 

“What the hell do you want? What does he mean take me home?” She asked. 

The Chief had now backed away because of her situation. 

But the other males stood a few feet away, watching the girl with hooded, shining eyes. Elise shot them a disgusted look. 

These ones needed to get a life and get laid. They wouldn’t be this reactive if they weren’t so 

sex starved. 

“I asked you first! What is the meaning of this? What did you eat?” 

“I–I don’t know?” She snapped. 

Thank the heavens that Chief Alaric was old enough to be her father. With all those children and grandchildren, he could surely handle what was happening without going primal like 

these two fools. And she needed him with her. 

He watched Sara carefully, mild curiousity furrowed his brow. 

Elise heaved a sigh, glad that he stood with her this minute. If not for anything but the fact that Nick would be mad at both of them and not just her. 

What did she do now? How did she handle this? 

They needed to get the girl on the jet and be on their way before the Alpha got the news. 

“Like the chief said, we’re here to take you home to the Forest Moon. That’s where you belong! You are the Alpha’s own!”

The girl frowned, then jerked as another wave of arousal hit her. 

A soft whimper caused the Luna to whip her head around. 

“F*ck! I need to get out of here, Luna,” Max pleaded. 

“You think?” She snapped. 

He turned around and crossed the street back to their car. 

Lorenzo stood hunched with both hands still covering his crotch. 

Pathetic! 

Oh, but she couldn’t believe her bad luck. Why, oh why didn’t she figure this out sooner and pick the girl up yesterday. 

She’d spent hours upon hours, pondering on her son’s words after the incident with Miss White. 

The one to whom my heart and soul is bound? 

These words from a Reign male? Those arrogant, egotistic breed of wolves? 

The Reigns did not talk like that. They were utterly unexpressive if not clueless when it came 

to matters of love. 

Her son, Nickolas, could only have meant one thing when he used those very words. The Sara girl was not even refuting the claim, which proved how right she was. 

A lipstick and comb fell out of her purse. 

“You’re holding it upside down, Sara James.” 

The girl gave her a distasteful look. When her gaze moved to her things on the floor, Elise couldn’t tell if it was disinterest or irritation she caught in those fervent brown eyes. 

It seemed like she would bend to pick them up but didn’t. Instead, she moved to get inside her car when the Luna stood in her way. 

“Get out of my way!” Her voice was sharp. 

“Did you go deaf because of your condition? I said you’re coming with us!” 

“The hell I am! Move!” Her voice shook with distraction now. 

The heat was getting intense for her. Elise watched as she fumbled in her purse for a

handkerchief. 

She knew what would happen if she reached out to grab and force her into their car. 

Any touch other than a male’s would be met with severe hostility. Thank Goddess Mae was here. But even the female guard seemed reluctant to act despite her little chloroform–soaked 

cloth. 

Lorenzo approached hesitantly to pick up the comb and lipstick, but one look from the older 

she–wolf and he stepped back. 

“Luna, if I may,” he said, moving back further. “The Chief Gamma said I must follow her everywhere and report-” 

“So go ahead and make your damn report. But you can’t follow her with that?” She pointed at 

his erection. 

“Yes, Luna. Of course.” He lowered his head in shame, hands returning to cover himself up. 

Elise let herself imagine what the Alpha would do to him if he saw that hard–on, which was courtesy of Sara. 

She signalled to Mae as she instructed him. 

“Tell your partner to get that note to Mr. James down the road. Tell him we’re taking her to the Alpha. He’s welcome to come to see her, but only after the cleansing rite!”
