Chapter 0119
The sergeant still screamed out in the distance. And as he called her name, I whispered it into her mind.
My own voice was all she heard. I vowed to make it so that it was all she ever heard and thought about whenever she got naked.
Once I was through with her, she fell right back to sleep.
But I was wide awake now.
That half–blood had a death wish, and I just might make it come true this morning.
A strong need to settle the matter with him made me rise from the bed. Washing up was not an option. I needed him to catch Sara’s scent on me when we came face to face.
Grabbing the first clothes my hand reached, a silk shirt and pants, I headed out.
As I stepped outside the large doors of the mansion, Richard sensed me and began speaking.
‘That fool must’ve woke you up, Alpha. Good morning.‘ he greeted.
‘He’s been here since 4:30, screaming for the Luna and the girl. I told them not to mind him.
Yet.‘
The large gate was still half a mile from where we stood, so I began to jog with my gamma beside me.
I was going to ask about the culprit that poisoned Sara when the sergeant screamed again.
“Elise! Give her back! Sara!”
‘I need to get my hands on that male,‘ I seethed.
But as we drew close to the gate, the scent of his rage was so disconcerting that I stopped
running.
“Sara!” He called out again.
Then, sensing me nearby, he screamed,
“Nickolas!”
Richard signalled for the guard to open the gate. He did and was going to attack when I stopped him.

It was Sergeant Brave, alright. He came all the way here for real, huh?
“We know each other from somewhere, don’t we?” I asked him.
Ignoring my question, he hissed,
“Where is Sara? Hand her to me!” His wolf’s eyes shone citrine with fury.
“Come inside,” I motioned with my hand and turned around.
The very brave male followed me into my domain.
As I heard the pedestrian gate shut behind us, I turned around to face him!
“What did you say? I didn’t hear you out there!”
“Your mother took Sara! Give her ba-”
It was Richard who attacked before I could. He struck his face, shutting him up.
“Welcome to the Forest Moon, half–blood. Here, you’ll address the Alpha with submission and respect!”
The sergeant’s fist clenched. He looked like he would retaliate but held back.
The familiarity in his general aura distracted me once again, and I took a step closer.
‘Those eyes-‘
“That scent! Sara’s!” He roared.
“You did something to her!”
As he raised his left fists to attack me, Richard caught it, twisting backwards and forcing him
to kneel before me.
The male grimaced in pain. It occured to me that his other hand was still healing from last night’s encounter.
“The audacity,” I said to him. “You came all the way out here for my female?”
His eyes brightened further as he snarled, baring his fangs. But he couldn’t shift yet. Not when the moon was still waxing,
“She’s not yours!” He raged. “She will never be! You lost your chance-”
It was my turn to shut him up. My fist met his chin before Richard could think to act.

The male spat blood before redirecting his gaze to mine.
As our eyes locked again, my heart gave a violent jerk. My fist wavered, and I stepped back.
I wanted to do real physical damage to him, but something held me back. Maybe it was Sara and what she would say if she saw me now? Or was it the strong sense of conversancy I felt
around him.
The male felt it too, but he obviously didn’t care. His sole mission was to “rescue” Sara from me and my mother.
Even though he already failed, I didn’t plan on letting him leave here unscathed.
“Lock him up in the underground and bring me the key!”
