CHAPTER 182: Dare to Love Me – Epilogue Loli Part 1
Gavin
It had been three months since Loli and I started our relationship. I had imagined Loli would
be quiet in every way, but she had surprised me. She had character, and it was nice to meet
the bad girl hiding under that angelic face.
Everything had been perfect by her side. We had an incredible relationship that had
strengthened during this time while we worked. We’d taken trips, gone for walks, had dinners,
movies, beautiful nights where we were as one. I’d taken her to see some nearby places, but I
wanted to give her more. I wanted us to live together in Los Angeles, but she’d been clear that
the only way she’d do it was if we were married. So that was my next step. I’d delayed it
because she didn’t want to stop being the nanny of the “little darlings,” as she called them. For
now, and when we got married, she would continue until she decided the time was right. I
wanted her to fulfill her dreams, and I was going to make sure they happened, but I didn’t want
to pressure her. I knew leaving the little ones would be very difficult for her.
I’d rented an apartment for privacy, and she came to stay on the weekends. The other day, we
saw each other at the house while we worked.
I’d invited my parents to visit the UK and, by the way, to meet Loli. They would be here for a
few days and would go to Las Russell’s wedding with the Garnetts, which would be held in a
week. Thanks to Loli and the girls, I could now say that there was a friendship between Nick, William, Tony, and me. They were inseparable. It was something that was bound to happen at
any moment.
“Beautiful,” I said when I saw Loli appear in tight white pants and a short, sleeveless blouse in
the same shade, her hair tied up in a high ponytail.
“You look very handsome.” She gave me a beautiful smile.
Today I was wearing a light blue button–down shirt and dark blue denim pants.
“Ready?” I kissed her forehead.
“No,” she said, making me laugh. We were having lunch with my parents.
“You’ll be fine. They’re good people.” I intertwined our fingers and took her with me to the car.
I drove to the address my father had sent me. It was a house they’d rented since my mother
didn’t like hotels.
We passed the grand entrance of the house, and I expected nothing less from my mother. It

was a mansion.
Loli looked at me, and I remembered the moment I’d told her that my family owned the security company, among others. She had almost broken up with me for not telling her sooner. She’d thought we couldn’t be together because of that, but I’d made it clear to her that the only thing that mattered was our love, that it would be incredible if she left me because I came from a family like mine.
I took her hand as she got out of the car and led her with me. I rang the doorbell, and someone from the service opened it for us. It didn’t surprise me that my mother had already hired a few people to help them.
“What a mansion they have,” I heard Teresa, Loli’s mother, say behind us.
“Mom!” Loli was surprised to see her parents. I hadn’t told her they were coming.
“My girl,” Teresa said, and we approached to greet them.
“I didn’t know you were coming.” Loli looked at me.
“I wanted them to meet my parents, too,” I said, taking her waist and placing a kiss on her
forehead.
“Come in.” I pointed the way to the living room, and we sat down. A few minutes later, we
heard my parents‘ footsteps.
“My prince.” My mother opened her arms and walked towards me. I stood up to greet them, as
did Loli and her parents. “It seems like I haven’t seen you in years. You’re much more handsome than before.” She hugged me.
“Son.” My father hugged me.
“This is Loli, my girlfriend, and these are her parents, Teresa and Fernando,” I spoke, and my
father approached them.
“A pleasure. I’m Gael, and this is my wife, Vivian. I’ve heard a lot about you.” He spoke to them
in Spanish, something he’d learned while in the military, and they greeted him warmly.
“Delighted.” My mother observed them. “They seem like… simple people,” she commented, and
I frowned. What did she mean by that? Loli looked at me since she’d understood.
“Let’s go to the table,” my father suggested.
“It seems like your mother is not very happy,” Loli commented.
“She’s something else. Don’t pay attention to her.” I took her hand, and we went to the table.
My father and Loli’s parents chatted animatedly, and I could hear my father’s laughter at

Teresa’s stories. She was a charming and vivacious woman.
My mother was another story. Loli seemed uncomfortable with my mother’s looks towards
her, in addition to the occasional out–of–place question about fashion and jewelry that Loli
answered with complete knowledge, but it was evident that she did not like those topics at all.
After lunch, we went out to the garden, and I noticed we had a beautiful view of the city. I took a deep breath and felt for the small box in my pants pocket.
I let go of Loli’s hand and knelt.
Loli gasped and put both hands to her mouth. I could hear faint sounds from our mothers.
“My love.” I looked up after opening the box. “I waited for the arrival of our parents, and now,
with the beautiful view of the city that has witnessed our love, I want to ask you to be my wife,
the owner of my days, my nights, everything that belongs to me. Be the queen of my world. I
want to spend the rest of my life by your side. Will you marry me, Loli?”
She leaned down to my height.
“Yes, yes,” she said excitedly, and I took her hand to put on the precious ring I’d been keeping
for days, waiting for this moment. I lifted her, and we kissed. Loli’s smile melted me and let
me know that she was happy, but not as much as I was.
“My goodness, what happiness.” Teresa approached us and hugged us both. “I know you will be very, very happy,” she said through tears.
“Thank you, Mom.” They hugged each other, and the others came to congratulate us: my
father, Fernando.
“Take care of her like a treasure,” he told me, and my father translated.
“I will, with my life,” I assured him, and he nodded before hugging me.
“Son, don’t you think it’s too soon?” My mother hugged me. “You barely know her, and we don’t
know her family. We don’t know where… they come from.” She looked at them in a way that I
didn’t like and that bothered me.
