CHAPTER 147: DARE TO LOVE ME Little Liar
Ashley
“Come on, let’s go. Alaia is waiting for us for lunch,” Tino said as he entered the workshop.
I was thinking about how William had left. Last night, Tino came to my house very disappointed after seeing him and told me. It hurt to know that he had preferred to leave rather than talk to me, but I could understand that what I did bothered him.
“I’ll grab my things and we’ll go,” I said after a sigh.
We drove to T–World, where Nick and Alaia had decided to meet to discuss business with my
grandfather and the partners.
“I’m thrilled that we’re all in the UK. Only Tony is missing; he’s gone to Paris for a photo shoot,
but he promised he’d be with us on your birthday.”
“I’d love to see him and for Alaia to meet him. He’s an incredible guy; I don’t know how he puts
up with you,” I joked with Tino, stifling a laugh.
“You witch! How dare you? I’m the light of his life and yours too,” he replied, hugging me. I showered him with kisses, and although he resisted at first, he eventually gave in. We were still hugging when we arrived at the building.
We hurried out of the car when we saw the little ones, who ran towards us as soon as we
called them.
“You look so beautiful today, my love,” I told the little one as I picked her up, and she smiled happily, knowing she was adorable.
We greeted Nick and Alaia.
“Ashley,” my grandfather called out as he exited the building. “I’ve heard about what Kurt wants to do. I imagine that’s why you’ve been missing these past months.”
“That’s right, Grandpa,” I said, approaching him and giving him two kisses. “He sold my stores, and I’m doing everything I can to get them back.”
He nodded.
“I’m upset that you didn’t come to see me as soon as you returned.”
“I’m sorry. I didn’t think you’d want me to,” I responded, knowing he had never cared much
about these things.
“I’ve realized that family is the most important thing,” he said, looking at Alaia and the little

ones and taking my hands. “I’ll be here for you if you need my help.”
“Thank you, Grandpa,” I said, hugging him. Though he was stiff, he returned the hug. I was
moved.
“I’ll see you at the restaurant,” he said, then turned to Tino. “Nice tie,” he added, catching Tino.
by surprise before walking to his car.
“What just happened?” Tino asked, touching his tie and looking more than happy. “I already
like him.”
I was laughing when I saw William coming out of the building. My stomach flipped, and I
didn’t understand anything.
“But you said he took his flight last night,” Tino said, stopping to look at Will.
“Oh yes, I didn’t want to tell you. I wanted it to be a surprise. See, my plans work. The little
ones asked him to stay, and guess what? He couldn’t say no.”
“I’m going to kill you. You should have told me,” I said, hitting his arm, feeling my emotions in
turmoil.
“Don’t hit, dear. Everything I’ve done has been for you.”
“I can’t with you, Tino.”
“What’s going on?” Alaia asked as she joined us.
“Tino didn’t tell me that Will didn’t leave last night,” I explained, and Alaia couldn’t believe it.
“What? You said you would tell her, dear,” Alaia scolded Tino.
“I wanted to surprise her. You don’t appreciate my efforts,” he said indignantly.
“Some surprises you give,” I grumbled.
Will reached us, looking angry, but I couldn’t help noticing how he looked at me completely. I
felt like a child. Enough, Ash!
The first thing I needed to do was try to get him to move past my lies. Then, I’d deal with what
I was feeling for him and the silly idea that he might feel this connection I did. Come on, he
was going to marry someone else.
“Are you coming with us?” Nick asked him, and he stopped looking at me. I waited impatiently for his answer, hoping to find a moment to talk to him.
“No, I have important things to do. I don’t feel like listening to lies today. I’ll see you later,” he
said, looking at me before turning to get a car.

“He didn’t say it!” Tino exclaimed, mouth agape.
O
“He said it,” I replied, feeling annoyed. But I’d take a deep breath for now. After all, I was the one who lied to him. Couldn’t he be more proud?

Two days later.
“I’m exhausted,” I said, collapsing onto the couch in Alaia’s living room. At least work helped me not think about the little jerk. I’d come to see the little pieces of heaven before going home to change. The morning had been busy in the design area, and I’d come home after leaving orders for the team to continue working. Tino had stayed a bit longer.
“Hello, Auntie,” my little ones stood beside me as I closed my eyes.
“Hello, my loves. Auntie can’t even handle her sorrows today,” I said. What a few days I’d had. My kids immediately kissed my forehead and cheek. I took them in my arms and settled them. beside me. They closed their eyes, just as I was doing. They were so cute.
“That’s it, let’s relax a bit,” I said, closing my eyes again.
“Alright, I brought the swimsuits,” Loli said after a few minutes.
“Why did you bring them?” I asked without looking at her.
“The little ones asked to go to the pool.”
“Oh, what a wonderful idea,” I heard Tino say, frowning.
“But weren’t you going to stay working?” I questioned, looking at him from where I was.
“I can’t live without you,” he said, kissing the kids, who smiled and hugged him delightedly, and
he sat at my feet.
“Well, go on, get ready. We’re going to accompany the little ones. We’ll relax in the pool; it’s a nice day,” I said.
“Sounds like a great idea,” my friend said, jumping to his feet.
We went up to one of the rooms after getting my swimsuit. Tino had brought a small suitcase with his clothes to leave at my house.
“Dear, what is that?” Tino asked Loli.
“My swimsuit,” she replied.
“Did you steal it from your grandmother?”
She looked at herself.

“Tino, don’t say that,” I said, tying the strap around my neck. “Here, use this one I brought from
Los Angeles. It’s a two–piece, but it’s not too revealing. It’s much prettier than the one you were
going to wear.”
We finished changing Noah and Alana, and we were ready.
We headed down and ran to the pool, taking a big leap to get in.
We enjoyed the water for a while when we saw Alaia walking towards us, looking gorgeous in
a white swimsuit with a matching sarong.
“Incredibly, you started without me,” she said with a beautiful smile on her lips.
“Mommy!” the little ones shouted.
“Come on, what are you waiting for? You two couldn’t look more beautiful,” Tino praised us,
and we were delighted..
She joined us, and we continued swimming for a bit longer.
“I brought some drinks and something to eat,” Sondra said, arriving with another girl and
setting everything on the table.
“I love you, Sondra, but you took your time,” I joked with her.
“Sorry, I forgot the gluttons had come over,” she said, walking back.
I didn’t think much and listened to my stomach.
I got out of the water, dried off a bit, and started eating.
I was filling my mouth with some fruit when I saw him. He was walking with Nick from the
house towards the pool.
I watched them as they talked, and Tino came over to where I was with Alaia.
“But how beautiful destiny is, putting him in your path again. Now go and use those big
breasts,” he said, adjusting them. “Go seduce that man. We can’t let Jessie with her pretty face
steal him from us. It seems I’m more jealous of your men than you are.”
I ignored the part about Jessie and thought it was worth trying to talk to him. I had nothing to
lose.
“They couldn’t be more handsome. I have this fantasy of a man in a suit taking me while I’m in
a swimsuit. Can you imagine? So much lust, so much desire, Tino commented.
Alaia and I looked at them, and now I had that image in my head. The protagonists were Will
and me, and I loved it. We were distracted by strange movements on one side of the garden.

CHAPTER 147: DARE TO LOVE M…
We saw Gavin almost bump into Gus while staring at… Loli!
Tino, Alaia and I exchanged glances, understanding everything.
“I told you my plans never fail. There’s that blonde, smitten with Loli, Tino said proudly.
My eyes drifted to where William was, and I found him looking at me, though with a very
serious expression, something unusual for him. The guy was always smiling.
So, I decided to walk towards him, exaggerating my hip movements a bit. My body tingled
when I noticed he couldn’t stop looking at me.

We left the meeting and headed to Alaia’s house. She had offered to let me stay with them, but it was something I needed to think about. I’d be just a few meters from Ash… ley’s house, and seeing her only reminded me of how foolish I was to believe and trust her.
Alaia had arrived at the house before us. When we entered, she was already coming down the
stairs in a swimsuit. My cousin looked at her, entranced.
“The kids are in the pool. I’ll join them,” she said, kissing my cousin and walking away.
“She has you wrapped around her finger,” I said, noticing his eyes remained on her until she
got in the water.
“Indeed,” he said with a goofy smile, walking away to take a call.
I walked to the window overlooking the pool area and watched everyone playing in it. Ashley’s unmistakable face drew me in, and I stayed there for a while until she decided to get out of the
water.
My body reacted immediately to her. How could she have hidden that body in those clothes?
“Damn it,” I whispered to myself.
The little liar couldn’t be more perfect.
“Calm down, buddy. Remember, she made you believe she was a man, and you felt terrible,” I talked to that part of my body that had just hardened at the sight of her.
I swallowed hard as I watched her pass the towel over her smooth skin, her wet hair falling
over her back.
“Looks like she has you wrapped around her finger too,” Nick said, joining me.
“You’re wrong,” I said, straightening up.

“You say that because you’re angry,” he crossed his arms. “We both know that girl hit you hard.
She even made you doubt your manhood,” he laughed, patting my shoulder. I turned my head
to glare at him.
“I don’t think I can trust her again,” I said, expressing what I truly felt.
“I can understand that Will, but let me remind you that I once failed too,” he said, walking away
when he saw the kids getting out of the pool.
I walked out to the patio and continued watching her as she talked with Tino and Alaia.
In a second, she looked at me and started walking towards me. Damn it, she managed to unsettle me with the way she walked. I thought staying was a bad idea.
“Hi,” she greeted a bit shyly.
Damn, don’t do that.
“Hi,” my voice came out strong.
“I’m glad you decided to stay,” she said.
“Yeah, it wasn’t for you,” the anger spoke for me.
“I didn’t expect you to.”
I nodded, not wanting to talk.

“And you don’t need to be an asshole,” she said angrily, pointing at me. I was sure the last word was an insult. “I opened my heart to you and told you things very few people know about me. Yes, I’m sorry, sorry for lying to you. I gave you my reasons for what I did, and you couldn’t care less. I expected at least a bit of understanding from someone who was my friend,” I observed her face and held back. Damn, it was hard.
I tensed my jaw, watching her walk towards her house. My anger dissipated for a second, and I wanted to go after her and kiss her, but I forced myself to stay put. I couldn’t fall so easily.
“Damn it!”
