CHAPTER 142: DARE TO LOVE ME We Accept Part 2
Ashley
“I can’t deal with you,” we said simultaneously in a low voice.
“Perfect,” Jessie chirped, jumping in to sit between us.
“The wedding will be on the beach, and he’ll wear a white suit, I want something fresh, beautiful, and elegant,” she began detailing her wedding plans, making my stomach churn. Unintentionally, I was learning all about the wedding of the man I’d fallen in love with.
The girls left, and Tino finished taking notes. I could have given him a Brazilian wax with my bare hands.
I stood up and took the stairs two at a time, recalling our last encounter at William’s during my little darlings‘ birthday.

I headed upstairs to find a new sweater for Alana, who had smeared her other one with cake frosting when I felt someone grab my arm.
“You have a partner,” Will said, and I made a “what?” gesture.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I looked at him, as handsome as ever, making my core
tighten.
“I saw you at the hospital, with a man, putting on a show,” I lowered my chin, but what was this
jerk talking about? “Loli was with you.”
I remembered that day, how scared I was to hear there were injuries and that the jerk was with
the rescue team. They think they’re action movie heroes. Luckily, his stubbornness turned out
okay. Now, about the hospital, it was Tino. Didn’t he see him?
“And why is that your problem?” I lifted my chin.
“It’s not a good place to do things like that,” he tightened his jaw.
What had gotten into him? What was this about?
“I know you guys give yourselves liberties others don’t, but you should behave,” he said, crossing his arms, and I raised my eyebrows.
“It’s news to me that someone who sleeps with anything that moves is telling me how to behave,” I said, looking him in the eyes, “Why don’t you go pick one of the women here and
take her to bed?”

“I stopped sleeping with everything that moves a while ago,” he explained, looking at my lips, and my heart skipped a beat. But I saw a friend of Caty’s passing by, smiling at him, and he
watched her for a few seconds.
That was it!
“I don’t care,” I lied and hurried to Alana’s room with Loli, who luckily had appeared. I saw him
standing at the end of the stairs, still watching me while the two girls said something to him.
It even seemed like he was jealous, like we had a moment and the attraction went beyond the
surface. But no, while talking to me, he was already committing to Jessie. This was a
disaster.
“And what’s wrong with you?” Tino arrived behind me. “I can’t take it anymore, Ashley Russell.
You’re going to tell me right now what’s been going on with you, or I’ll end our friendship for
the rest of our lives,” he placed his hands on his hips and watched me.
I looked at him and made a face. For not telling him what was happening, he had agreed to
make Jessie’s wedding dress. Finally, I decided to give in and sat heavily on the bed.
“I’m in love,” I said softly.
“I didn’t hear you, what did you say?” Tino moved closer to me.
“That I’m in love!” I spoke louder, just as Alaia entered the room and froze.
Tino’s gay scream echoed through the house.
“You?” he questioned, completely confused.
“Did I hear correctly?” Alaia blinked.
“Yes, me,” I rubbed my face.
“Let’s see, with whom?” Tino asked, and they both looked at me.
I bit my lip.
“Answer, girl, we want to know the name of the lucky guy who made this happen.”
“William Garnett,” I responded, and another scream filled the house. Alaia’s eyes widened.
“Oh my God, my soul and my heart! Both of you have fallen for the Garnetts. I can’t blame you, those hunks are to die for. I wonder if there’s another Garnett for me so we can be the three of
us,” he exclaimed, amused, looking at both of us.
“Are you forgetting Tony?” Alaia spoke.

“No, girl, I wouldn’t trade him for anyone, but let me enjoy this moment,” he sat next to me, and Alaia did the same, though she couldn’t believe it.
“How did it happen?” Tino asked conspiratorially, and I began to tell them everything that made me fall for him.
“But you didn’t like him,” Alaia fixed her gaze on me, and I nodded.
“I know, I know, it just happened. I didn’t even realize when. That’s why I didn’t say anything,” I
made a desperate face.
“Wait,” he suddenly shouted, and I blinked, looking at him.
“William, the one getting married to Jessie, is your William?” he asked, about to faint, and fell
back when I nodded.
“What a mess! I’ll kill you! How are we going to make the wedding dress for her? I can’t wrap my head around it. We need to cancel,” he looked for his phone.
“What dress?” Alaia asked, lost, and Tino quickly explained.
“When did all this happen?” my cousin was still very confused, poor thing.
“You’re not canceling,” I stopped him. “We’ve never canceled a job. You’ll make that dress, and that’s that. William has decided, and there’s nothing to be done.”
“But you look like a boy; you weren’t even competing, girl,” he scolded me. I knew it very well.
“I know, everything got out of hand. I didn’t realize in time what I felt. I didn’t want to see it. Now it’s too late,” I said hopelessly.
“Are you sure it is?” my cousin questioned, taking me by the shoulders.
“Yes,” I affirmed, and she hugged me. I appreciated that hug.
“In this house, everything happens, everything. We could make an HBO series out of it, my goodness!”
“Come on, let’s get ready for the trip,” I told them, not wanting to talk about my romantic failure.
At night, we were already at the house entrance, ready to leave. The boys had loaded the luggage into the SUVS.
“Gus, Marcus, Tom, and Gavin will go with you,” my uncle informed us, and we saw Loli, who looked surprised by the news. “Even though González is in prison, we can’t be complacent. It’s better if they go with you. The kids know them and will feel more comfortable with them than with a new team. If you need reinforcements, my father will arrange them.”

“Thanks, Dad,” Alaia approached to hug her parents, who had decided not to travel until the weekend when we’d celebrate my birthday.
“I’ll see you there in a few days,” Nick kissed Alaia passionately. We were used to such displays of love by now.
“I’m going to miss you,” Alaia looked into his eyes, and they kissed again.
“I’m so envious,” Tino seemed annoyed, but I knew he was happy for Alaia.
“Bye–bye, gramps,” the little darlings approached to say goodbye to their grandparents. Then it was our turn, and we left in two cars. Nick drove us in his, and the bodyguards went in the other SUV. After a warm farewell from the little ones to their father, we boarded the plane to start our journey to the UK.
